Chapter 162.2
162.2. I’m Feeling Uneasy, So I’d Rather Stay Together, Isn’t It?
“—That’s why I approved Myrna’s joining.”
Kyle is explaining things to Persia.
“Can you catch up with us?”
[Of course! I’ll leave at once!]
I cut in to prevent more blunders.
“No point rushing before the steamboat returns. What’ll you do until then?”
[Urgh…!]
“It’s fine, Persia. Your two-legged bird can reach us in days, right?”
[Of course! Once the boat arrives, I’ll push the engine to its limits!]
“Don’t break it!”
Steamboats are rare and valuable! Usually, such remarks would be laughable, but Persia is reckless enough to follow through.
“We can’t set sail at night. Wait for the morning and don’t rush things. Understood, Persia?”
[…Yes.]
Why do you sound dissatisfied!?
“My magic’s nearly spent. Ready to end the call?”
“Understood. Persia will explain to the Golden Dawn.”
[Understood!]
After much struggle, I managed to end the call.
“Whew.”
“Nii-sama, you worked hard.”
“Yeah. Explaining everything drained my magic. Let me rest.”
“Of course.”
“First, dinner.”
“Yes.”
We take turns eating. Meanwhile, Myrna starts her studies with Kyle.
Finally, after some chaos, a calm evening begins. Stars fill the sky when Kyle suddenly stops, troubled.
“What’s up?”
“Ah, Myrna has no change of clothes.”
“Oh.”
Myrna points to a box she’d hidden in.
“Clothes. There.”
Inside is a single outfit—a nightgown.
“Nii-sama, call Persia.”
“…Right.”
Kyle and I share a rueful smile.
