As her classmate, Kamigawa knew Kita Ikuyo pretty well.

She loved posting pictures on social media—places she'd been, food she'd tried, and especially moments with friends.

But if he took a group photo with these nine girls and she posted it online, their classmates were bound to see it.

The rumors that would follow? Kamigawa didn't even want to imagine. That would make his earlier precautions of choosing to meet outside the school completely pointless.

"Oh, so that's what you're worried about," Nijika Ijichi said, glancing between him and the others, finally nodding in understanding.

In the context of a group photo, with just him and nine girls, it would look a little odd.

"But wouldn't it be so… rock 'n' roll?" Yamada Ryo gave him a grin and a big thumbs-up, clearly all for it.

Kamigawa rolled his eyes. "You can't just claim everything's rock 'n' roll!"

Was "rock" supposed to be a magic phrase that justified anything?

"Actually, it's exactly the kind of thing rock is about," Ryo replied, looking entirely self-assured.

"…True," Kamigawa sighed, reluctantly agreeing. When it came to moments like these, claiming "it's rock" did seem to let just about anything slide.

People would just shrug and think, Oh, it's just a band thing.

Kita Ikuyo, having caught onto his hesitation, quickly reassured him, "Don't worry, Kamigawa-senpai! I won't post it anywhere—just keep it for us and share it in the group."

"With that, you're okay with it now, right?" Chihaya Anon asked, hoping to get him in on the photo.

It wasn't for any particular reason; it just didn't feel right for everyone else to be in it except him.

Tomori gave him an encouraging look too. The band just wouldn't feel complete in the photo without him there.

"Alright, alright. I'll grab a stand for the camera," Kamigawa said, giving in with a small laugh as he got up to fetch it.

As he stepped away, Soyo turned to Raana, who was happily munching on snacks, and asked, "By the way, Raana, are you up for the photo?"

"...Yeah," Raana replied, tilting her head slightly before giving a tiny nod.

"Oh, and let's all exchange contact info so I can send everyone the picture afterward!" Kita Ikuyo suggested excitedly.

"Good idea!" Everyone readily agreed.

Even Raana handed over her phone, letting Kita help her add everyone.

Kita stared at Raana's phone, eyebrows raised. "Wow… do you actually check your messages, Raana?"

Looking at all the unread messages in various apps, it was a bit hard to believe.

"I do," Raana nodded.

She had a habit of only glancing at notifications when they popped up, never actually clicking on the apps.

"Alright then," Kita chuckled, quickly adding everyone and handing Raana's phone back.

As she stowed her phone away, Shiina Taki let out a small sigh. "This is starting to feel like a whole event…"

Kamigawa returned just then, stand in hand, asking, "Should we take the picture here, or is there a better spot?"

"Here's fine, but is there maybe a place in your home that's even better?" Kita asked eagerly.

Even taking the photo beside his couch made it feel like a luxury hotel setting, but she was after the perfect location.

"Only place I can think of is the balcony," Kamigawa replied after a moment's thought.

His place wasn't exactly a tourist attraction with scenic photo ops; the balcony was the best choice he could think of.

"Balcony it is!" Nijika Ijichi cheered.

And with that, everyone moved to the balcony. Kamigawa even scooped up Raana, who was still glued to her snacks.

As Kita set up her phone on the stand and adjusted the angle, Kamigawa looked on, impressed with her eye for details.

"Nice choice with the balcony as the backdrop," he commented.

"Yeah, it's perfect," she agreed.

As they worked out the details, Chihaya Anon, who had gone over to help, spotted Gotoh Hitori hovering nervously in the background. "Hitori, are you nervous?"

"I'm… not used to taking pictures," Gotoh admitted, looking down.

"I see…" Anon smiled, then, catching Hitori's unease, added, "But if it's with all of us, doesn't it feel kind of nice?"

"Yes! I'm really happy to be included!" Gotoh straightened, taking a deep breath. "I'll do my best to keep it together."

"You've got this!" Anon cheered, giving her a thumbs-up.

"Mm!" Gotoh nodded firmly. This was the first photo she'd ever taken with friends, and she wanted to remember it.

"Okay, everyone! Gather round, and leave a spot for me," Kita said as she set the camera timer.

Satisfied with the setup, Kamigawa walked over, aiming for a spot off to the side—until Anon grabbed him and guided him to the center.

"Wouldn't the center look a little odd with just me?" Kamigawa asked, realizing he'd end up right in the middle of the shot.

"No one else is better suited for the center than you," Anon declared. And just as naturally, she took the spot beside him.

With ten people, the central space was actually a duo spot. Kamigawa took one half, while Anon confidently claimed the other.

From the other side, Soyo, catching Anon's subtle move, didn't mind. Instead, she calmly took her place on his other side.

After all, as Kamigawa's "big sister," standing near him was only natural.

"Alright then," Kamigawa shrugged. No one would be sharing this picture anyway, so the center was fine.

Everyone seemed content with the arrangement.

"Should we do some kind of pose?" Anon suggested, turning to him.

"Let's keep it simple," Kamigawa replied, shaking his head. A few silly poses could work in a smaller group, but in this setting, it felt more natural to just smile for the camera.

"Got it," Anon nodded, sticking to a simple pose.

"Alright, I'm setting the timer!" Kita announced as she darted into position next to Gotoh Hitori.

As the shutter clicked, the moment was captured forever.
