Chapter 29: Freed Sellzen - 3

Just as Issei, Kiba, Koneko, and Saji prepared to chase after Freed and Valper, determined to stop them from escaping, a sudden voice stopped them in their tracks.

The voice was calm, yet carried a trace of amusement, as if the speaker found the entire situation somewhat... entertaining.

"Goodness, what have you gotten yourselves into?" the voice called, echoing in the night.

Turning around, the group was met with a sight that made their hearts skip a beat. Two magic circles materialized in the air, one glowing a deep crimson red, the other shining bright white.

From the red circle, Rias and Akeno stepped out, both looking calm and composed. From the white circle, Sona and Tsubaki appeared, their expressions serious.

"President, Akeno!" Issei exclaimed, his surprise evident as he saw his friends arrive. "What are you guys doing here?"

Akeno, always the playful one, gave him a teasing smile as she walked over to him. "I could ask you the same thing, Issei. What trouble have you gotten yourself into this time?" Her tone was light, but there was no mistaking the mischief in her eyes.

Sona, taking a more formal stance, looked over at saji and the others. "I could ask you the same, but it seems you've already gotten yourself involved. It's clear that this situation isn't over yet."

As the group regrouped after the tense moment of their confrontation, the questions began to surface.

Rias, Akeno, Sona, and Tsubaki had all arrived, and they were clearly concerned about what had been happening between Issei, Koneko, and the others.

Issei, trying to mask his unease with a forced smile, looked to Rias and Akeno. "What are you guys doing here? You weren't planning to join in on the fun, were you?" He tried to sound casual, but his voice gave away a hint of nervousness.

Akeno, eyeing him with a teasing look said. "We could ask you the same thing, Issei. You and your friends seem to have gotten involved in something dangerous. Are you sure you know what you're doing?"

Rias crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow. "Akeno's right. I know you guys have the power to handle yourselves, but you're playing with fire here. What's going on with this whole situation? Why didn't you come to us for help?"

She glanced around at the group, her eyes stopping at Koneko, Saji, and especially Issei, the unspoken leader of their group.

Akeno, ever the playful one, tilted her head, her voice dripping with teasing concern. "Yes, Issei, it seems like you've been getting into all sorts of trouble lately.

"Not to mention, what is it with you and Koneko? You two seem awfully close." She paused, her eyes narrowing slightly. "You're not keeping anything from us, are you?"

Koneko stiffened at Akeno's teasing remark, but it was Saji who spoke up, trying to brush it off. "Well, we've been trying to handle this situation on our own. We didn't want to drag anyone else into it. We can't let kiba handle it alone, after all."

Sona's voice, usually calm, held a trace of seriousness. "Saji, Koneko... this isn't something to handle alone. You can't just go off and fight on your own. And Issei, you know that this situation is too much to handle without proper help."

Issei scratched his head sheepishly, glancing down at the ground. "Yeah, I guess we kinda went off on our own without thinking. It's just… we wanted to stop Freed and Valper before they could cause more damage, but I guess we should've brought you all in from the start."

Rias sighed, her expression softening. Akeno smiled warmly, her voice gentle yet playful. "And no more sneaking off without telling anyone. We don't want to see you getting hurt."

Koneko nodded quietly in agreement, though she looked down, slightly embarrassed by the attention. "Yeah. We need to work together."

Saji, who had been standing silently for most of the conversation, looked up at Sona and the others. "I guess we got a bit too caught up in this. Sorry about that. We didn't mean to cause trouble."

Tsubaki gave them a serious look. "It's not about causing trouble. It's about making sure you're prepared and not taking unnecessary risks. You can't face every challenge alone, especially when the stakes are this high."

The Occult Research Club becomes aware that Kiba, Xenovia, and Irina are in danger, likely due to their involvement with the Excalibur fragments and the fallen angels. They send their familiars to track down their whereabouts.

The familiar returns with the news that irina has been injured. She's found lying unconscious, possibly after a confrontation with those who were after the Excalibur fragments. This news alarms the group, and they immediately decide to teleport to her location.

Once they arrive, they find Irina injured, and it's clear that she's been through a serious battle. Asia immediately rushes to her side, showcasing her healing abilities.

As Asia begins healing her, she's concerned about the severity of Irina's injuries. Her powers as a healer come into play here, and she works quickly to heal the wounds that Irina has sustained.

Irina is badly hurt, and it's obvious that she's been in some kind of struggle or battle. Despite this, she is still conscious and tries to speak to issei and the others, apologizing for dragging them into this situation.

Her eyes convey both regret and gratitude as she sees her them rushing to her aid.

Asia continues to heal Irina, and her expression is one of worry, especially as she works on the healing magic.

She understands the significance of the situation, not only because of Irina's injury but also because of the larger issue with the Excalibur fragments.

As Irina starts recovering under Asia's care, there's a moment where she said. "They got away. I couldn't get away. He was just too strong.'' She also mentions the fallen angels and their pursuit of the Excalibur fragments.

She thanks asia for healing her, beforeshe became unconscious.

As Irina finished explaining the situation, a magic circle appeared, and from it, Sona and Tsubaki emerged, along with Saji. They arrived, seemingly ready to assist in any way they could.

Raizel, sensing the impending threat, remained calm and composed. He gave a quick glance towards the group, his voice steady as he said, "Be prepared. We have got some company."

His ability to manipulate his aura flared up as he surrounded the group with an impenetrable shield of energy, reinforcing their defense.

The atmosphere grew tense as Freed, the priest wielding Excalibur fragments, appeared from behind the trees. His presence exuded hostility, and the group immediately recognized him as the one responsible for the disturbance.

Freed's smile was twisted, and he seemed to relish the situation, perhaps even enjoying the idea of facing off with Raizel and his allies.

With Raizel's shield in place, Sona, Tsubaki, and Saji readied themselves, understanding the gravity of the situation. They weren't sure what Freed's next move would be, but they knew they couldn't afford to let him get away with his plans.

Freed, drawing his Excalibur fragments, taunted the group, "So, we've got a little party. So many damn devils here. How delightful! Let's see it would be fun slicing you up. Hahaha"

Raizel's eyes narrowed as he stood unwavering in front of his team. His calm demeanor contrasted with the intense battle atmosphere. "We don't have time for your games,. You've made a mistake coming here."

The tension in the air was palpable as both sides prepared for what was sure to be a fierce confrontation. Sona, Tsubaki, and Saji remained alert, knowing that this battle was about to become a dangerous one, especially with Freed's connection to the Excalibur fragments.

The scene was set for another intense battle, with Raizel at the center, protecting his friends and allies while preparing to strike when the time was right.
