I Was Reincarnated with OP Invincibility, so I’ll Beat ’em Up My Way as an Action-Adventurer

Chapter 143

143. The Fruits Of Training

“You’ve gotten bold, haven’t you?”

With a mischievous grin, Sarome turned toward us.

Even while battling a four-armed warrior demon—Hell’s Arm—her movements were full of confidence.

“Hawawa… Th-that was just me stumbling… really…”

Alice quickly distanced herself from me, flustered.

She pressed her crimson cheeks between her hands, letting out a small, shaky breath.

My heart was still racing, pounding so hard it felt like my chest might burst.

A sweet ache buzzed through my entire body.

“Hehe, look at you two blushing. You’re so innocent.”

Sarome smiled warmly at Alice and me.

“But maybe you should save the flirting for later.”

She added, her figure flickering like a heat mirage.

“For now, I’ll take care of this one.”

What was that?

I noticed that Sarome’s fighting style was different from usual.

She typically specialized in assassination.

Suppressing her presence and striking from the opponent’s blind spots.

But this time, it was different.

With just a single small knife, she was going head-to-head with Hell’s Arm, who wielded four distinct weapons.

Hell’s Arm’s attacks were sharp—sharper than the last time we fought.

But Sarome’s movements were even sharper, leaving her opponent utterly overwhelmed.

“Elze Assassination Art: Covert Step—[Dragon Breath Flash].”

Her mischievous smile floated on the wind.

“This is the fruit of my training.”

Sarome’s dominance wasn’t due to swordsmanship or nimbleness.

It stemmed from something else entirely.

“Y-you… what are you!?”

Hell’s Arm’s voice betrayed confusion.

His attacks kept missing, slicing through empty air again and again.

He couldn’t track Sarome’s movements.

Her intermittent disappearance baffled him, leaving the demon unable to keep up.

Ah, I see—it’s the same technique she used when we fought the King Lizard,

I realized.

“Don’t get cocky, human…”

Mystic provided support with flame magic.

“Be crushed and destroyed…”

And D Eater followed up with a compressed spell.

“I won’t let you!”

I shouted.

Both demons’ attacks dissolved into rainbow-colored radiance, dispersing harmlessly.

I’d erected a barrier around Sarome.

──I quickly assessed the situation again.

Rudolph was fighting a dragon alone.

Sarome was facing Hell’s Arm by herself.

Beyond her, Mystic and D Eater were preparing their next moves,

and further back, Blaze Cyclops was slowly advancing.

It seemed likely that Sarome could defeat Hell’s Arm, as long as she wasn’t interrupted by the other demons.

In that case, our next move was clear.

“Alice and I will support Sarome. The rest of you, keep the big guy occupied.”

I told Alice and the other adventurers.

“U-understood… we’re counting on you.”

Five adventurers rushed toward Blaze Cyclops.

Alice and I worked together to block every spell the demons hurled at Sarome.

Meanwhile, she continued to toy with Hell’s Arm.

And then—

“This is the end.”

Sarome said softly, circling behind Hell’s Arm.

With a single knife strike, she severed the demon’s head.

“One down!”

Sarome shouted triumphantly.

Alright, next up were Mystic and D Eater.

“Curses, a mere human…!”

“We are nothing like that weakling!”

The two demons unleashed their attack spells simultaneously.

Unlike Hell’s Arm, these two specialized in long-range magic.

That was fine—I could counter them with my skills.

I deflected their spells with a basic defensive skill.

And then, without a moment’s delay,

──[Alter].

──[Barrier Phase].

I switched my skill type and enclosed the two demons.

“Don’t think you’ve won just because you blocked a spell!”

“Our magic is leagues beyond a human’s capacity… we’ll overpower you with a barrage!”

Mystic and D Eater began chanting again.

But this time, their spells didn’t materialize.

The black magical energy gathered in their hands dissolved into the air.

It was my skill, [Barrier Phase], which nullified any magic within its range.

“We can’t cast spells…!?”

“What’s happening? Impossible…!”

The demons were visibly shaken.

“[Mergias Bind]!”

This time, it was Alice’s spell.

[Barrier Phase] didn’t block magic from outside its range.

Her spell slipped through easily, wrapping Mystic and D Eater in swirling flames.

Chains of fire bound their bodies.

“Thanks, you two. Now it’s my turn!”

With their movements sealed by a combination of spell suppression and magical restraint,

Sarome dashed toward the immobilized demons.

She disappeared intermittently, her form flickering like a mirage.

“Goodbye, demons.”

She said coldly as her knife slashed through them effortlessly.
