Chapter 14
In the early morning, Shi Yi found himself in Pei Xing’s arms.
Pei Xing’s clothes were open, revealing his well-defined chest muscles and an impressive eight-pack.
Shi Yi’s small face was nestled against Pei Xing’s broad, strong chest, and his slender arms remained wrapped around Pei Xing’s waist.
His clothing was disheveled, and his fair, round shoulders were exposed to the air.
Pei Xing slid his large hands beneath Shi Yi’s clothes, and the sensation of skin-to-skin contact was particularly arousing in the early morning.
As soon as Shi Yi stirred, Pei Xing held him more tightly, taking a deep breath and burying his face in Shi Yi’s delicate neck. His voice carried the characteristic morning hoarseness.
“Baby, let me hold you for a little while.”
With that, his hands continued to ignite a fire on Shi Yi’s body. Shi Yi realized that this body was different from the one he used to inhabit. He couldn’t help but feel sensually aroused. Along with the warmth of Pei Xing’s palms, an unfamiliar tingling sensation spread throughout his entire body.
His breathing momentarily caught, the corners of his eyes turned red, and he took a deep breath while frowning, attempting to push the weight on top of him away.
“Get off, don’t be unreasonable!”
Pei Xing chuckled softly, propping himself up slightly and gazing at Shi Yi with intense desire in his eyes.
Those eyes were filled with unrestrained longing, not at all like the gaze of someone who had just woken up, but more akin to a hungry wolf that had finally found its prey, ready to devour it immediately.
Shi Yi turned his face to the side, avoiding Pei Xing’s intense stare. His skin, as white as jade, acquired a rosy tint, extending down to his neck. The delicate lotus-like mark between his eyebrows was faintly visible, making him appear exquisitely beautiful.
Pei Xing’s heart quickened. He lowered his head, kissing Shi Yi’s forehead tenderly, then nibbling his rosy lips with eagerness, leaving no part untouched. His large hands explored the contours of the lovely and delicate figure without hesitation.
Shi Yi’s eyes widened suddenly, and he clutched Pei Xing’s clothing tightly with his slender, white fingers. His fingertips turned white from the effort, yet his entire body was weak and powerless, as if he were drowning, letting out an uncontrollable moan.
Pei Xing eased his grip slightly, breathing heavily. Hot breath enveloped Shi Yi’s face. His eyes appeared misty, filled with desire, and his lips, freshly kissed, looked particularly inviting, slightly parted as he gasped.
“Why are you so sensitive now?” Pei Xing grinned, leaning down to kiss the alluring red lips once more before pulling Shi Yi into his embrace.
Shi Yi laid against his chest, feeling a bit dazed, not minding Pei Xing’s sultry words. This body was indeed much more sensitive than before. His past physical disability had left him devoid of desire in this area, but now he was easily aroused.
Pei Xing gently caressed his back, knowing not to push him too far, so they laid quietly together for a while. After a moment, Shi Yi drifted back to sleep.
Pei Xing was dumbfounded but carefully put the person aside then got up to wash up. Today, he needed to go to the county government and register the two shuangers.
By the time he finished washing, Xiao Liu and Aunt Hong had already eaten and his breakfast was still warm in the pot.
The meal was very simple, rice porridge, steamed buns and a plate of bacon. After Pei Xing ate it, he remembered the doctor said about Shi Yi’s physical condition. He asked Aunt Hong to stew egg custard.
There was nothing at home, so he should buy more thing in the county town.
.
Shi Yi woke up near noon, feeling dizzy from too much sleep. He vaguely remembered what happened early in the morning, he turned around and laid on the quilt. Secretly hating himself for his lack of success.
After dressing up, he found that Pei Xing was nowhere to be seen. After asking Aunt Hong, he found out that the man went out to the county town.
“Little master, you are awake. Young Master Pei especially told me to stew an egg custard for you, here it’s lukewarm.” Aunt Hong said while she brought the food out for him.
Shi Yi hurriedly said, “Auntie, you don’t have to be so polite. I will do it on my own.”
Aunt Hong had nothing to do, she just helped with cooking, made shoes or clothes, changed the quilts according to the seasons and took care of the vegetables in the backyard.
Now, autumn was about to come, she had become very busy. She had to prepare clothes for four people this year.
Shi Yi didn’t know if Shi Liu was scared to sleep all alone without him. After finishing up his food and cleaned up. He came out of the kitchen and saw two figures, to his surprise, it was Xiao Liu and Hong Luo standing at the courtyard’s entrance with a piece of paper and a book.
Xiao Liu was holding a brush, and Hong Luo had a book open in front of her, helping Xiao Liu with his writing.
Shi Yi observed the paper and book. It was evident that Xiao Liu was having difficulty learning to write, and Hong Luo’s book was filled with intricate characters. The situation suggested that he was not well-versed in reading or writing.
“Third brother!” Xiao Liu exclaimed with excitement upon spotting Shi Yi, instantly halting his writing practice and rushing into his embrace.
Shi Yi embraced the child, kissed him, and inquired, “My dear, were you frightened last night?” He anticipated the child would express his fears and complaints, but to his surprise, Xiao Liu’s eyes shone with enthusiasm.
“I wasn’t scared! I’m a big child, and I slept by myself like my sister!”
“Such a good boy, my big baby,” Shi Yi praised without hesitation. It appeared that increased interaction with peers had a positive effect.
With nothing else to do, Shi Yi decided to learn a few words from Hong Luo. The little girl was taken aback. “You can’t read?”
“What’s so surprising about not being able to read?” Shi Yi was puzzled by Hong Luo’s astonishment. Literacy was not common in ancient times, resulting in many illiterate individuals. Learning to read was a rarity.
Hong Luo glanced at Shi Yi’s strikingly beautiful face, more stunning than Liu Yingying, the most beautiful girl in the village.
She nodded in response, stating, “It doesn’t matter if you can’t read. Even if you’re illiterate, you’re still the most beautiful person in the eight villages, deserving being with the most handsome young man in these eight villages.”
“What?” Shi Yi stared at her, baffled and unable to comprehend. He felt as though he was having a surreal experience and stammered, “Sister, no, Sister Hong Luo, may I know… who the most handsome young man in all eight villages is…?”
“It’s Young Master Pei,” Hong Luo replied matter-of-factly. She assumed Shi Yi was puzzled due to his lack of education, so she consoled him, “It’s all right; you can learn from me. In time, we’ll outdo all those charming women.”
Shi Yi remained speechless for an extended period before inquiring, “Sister Hong Luo, may I ask how old are you?”
“Nine years old,” Hong Luo replied confidently, assuming he was afraid about her youth. She patted her chest.
“Don’t look down on me because I’m young. I’m very experienced in this kind of thing. Before my mother and I were sold, my father fell in love with others. I helped mother drive away those foxy girls who bullied my mother. The bad nature of man is liking new things and hating the old. You see in the book, there are mostly affectionate women and heartless men. There are a lot of people who are in love but fell into their lust. You have to improve yourself to make Young Master Pei fall in love with you until his soul couldn’t live without you.”
Shi Yi was silent for a long time, he looked at the little girl and nodded seriously, “Yes, you are right. I will go back and think about it.”
No, he needed to slow down a little bit.
