Chapter 44 - II
With their plans set, Pei Xing carried Shi Yi up the mountain to a small house deep within the jungle.
The house was constructed from bamboo, with a circular bamboo fence forming a small courtyard. Inside the yard, two crabapple trees were still in bloom, seemingly defying the changing seasons.
Pei Xing had built this yard in the past when he roamed the mountains to practice martial arts and hunt. He specifically chose this location due to the presence of a hot spring. There was only one room, and although the bedding and clothing inside had been abandoned for a long time, it was still usable with a little tidying up. The new clothes and bedding they brought were added to the house, but when Pei Xing suggested discarding the old bedding, Shi Yi disagreed.
“It’s such a waste to throw away perfectly good fabric from these clothes. Plus, this cotton quilt is still useful.” Shi Yi argued.
In his previous life, when the cotton quilts at his home became worn out, they would re-spin the cotton and reuse it. The cotton mattress was still in good condition since it hadn’t been used much. Shi Yi took apart the quilt, washed it, and dried the cotton mattress inside. After replacing the quilt cover, it was as good as new.
Pei Xing didn’t allow him to do all the cleaning alone. Together, they washed and dried the clothes and bedding. They hung them on the fence in the courtyard after the washing was complete.
.
It wasn’t yet noon after they had cleaned the house, and there were only some leftover ingredients in the small kitchen. They had brought some rice and noodles for their meals, and the two of them enjoyed a simple noodle soup for lunch.
After their meal, Pei Xing took Shi Yi for a walk in the mountains. They were deep within a dense forest, and villagers rarely ventured here to hunt due to the potential dangers.
Since no one had explored this area, there was abundant game to be found. Some small animals weren’t afraid of humans, so they managed to catch three wild ducks and a nest of wild duck eggs.
Shi Yi collected a variety of wild mushrooms. Ever since trying the wild mushroom stew, he had grown fond of the taste. This trip was an opportunity to collect more than he could eat. After drying them, he could bring them down the mountain to enjoy them slowly.
Pei Xing collected the wild mushrooms Shi Yi had gathered, then he addressed Shi Yi with a gentle smile. “You don’t need to pick so many; these are enough. If you enjoy these, we can come back later and pick more.”
Hearing Pei Xing’s suggestion, Shi Yi ceased picking more mushrooms. He held the nest of wild duck eggs he had gathered, a total of thirteen, and they appeared round and plump. He glanced at Pei Xing and the three fat ducks in his bag, asking, “Do we need anything else, or are these sufficient?”
Pei Xing’s eyes were filled with desire, and he responded with enthusiasm. “Let’s gather a few more. It’ll be convenient to have some extra.”
Shi Yi held the nest of wild duck eggs and nodded. As he looked at Pei Xing, his face flushed. Recalling their passionate moments from their last encounter, his ears turned hot.
Pei Xing couldn’t resist the urge and leaned in, planting a kiss on Shi Yi’s soft lips.
Shi Yi, slightly flustered, protested, “Don’t get carried away! Let’s finish picking and go back.”
Pei Xing chuckled and kissed his cheek before moving to the side. The two playfully bantered, and after a while, Pei Xing shot two pheasants and three wild rabbits before they started their journey back.
.
When they returned to the yard, Pei Xing promptly placed the game in the kitchen and lifted Shi Yi. He carried him to the small hot spring located behind the house. With their clothes off, they immersed themselves in the soothing hot water.
Undeterred, Pei Xing pressed Shi Yi against a large rock, parted his lips, and kissed him with intensity. As their backs pressed against the cool stone, Shi Yi shivered from the contrasting heat of Pei Xing.
And the man kept Shi Yi in a tight embrace, only releasing him when he could no longer catch his breath.
Breathing heavily, Shi Yi’s eyes glistened, and his eyes were red. He ran his delicate hand over Pei Xing’s strong chest and cursed him playfully.
Pei Xing’s heart was filled with passion as he kissed Shi Yi’s captivating eyes and said in a sultry tone, “Baby, I’m so happy.” Recalling the past few days spent alone with Shi Yi in the mountains had excited him to no end.
Shi Yi began to ask what was making Pei Xing so happy, but he was interrupted by a passionate kiss. He fell silent and soon, he made sweet sounds, creating a longing in Pei Xing’s heart. The silver bell on his ankle jingled, and this intimate moment continued until the sun set.
.
When they finished, Pei Xing leaned against the large stone, sated and content, while Shi Yi laic tenderly against his chest. With a tired look and a slight blush on his cheeks, he gently scratched his firm abdominal muscles.
Pei Xing held Shi Yi’s delicate hand in his larger one, kissed it, and sighed, “Baby, you’re teasing me. You can’t take much more.”
Shi Yi pulled his hand away and sighed, pretending to be annoyed as he buried his face in Pei Xing’s shoulder. “You’re just an animal.”
Pei Xing caressed Shi Yi’s waist, gently rubbing it. He heard Shi Yi’s dissatisfied comments and laughed softly. He kissed his fair skin beside his shoulder and said, “Baby, you’re the one in charge. Whatever you say, we’ll do it.”
