With Akatsuki's second phase of the plan commencing, Logan knew he would inevitably have to leave, and possibly soon, due to his identity, stand in opposition. The two situations are only similar but not the same.

When he opened his eyes again, the scene had dramatically changed. As soon as Logan regained control of his body, he immediately went on high alert. After scanning his surroundings, he was momentarily stunned.

A slightly reddish sky spread out above him. The ground beneath him stretched out into a hilly plain, with a clear road extending straight from his feet. He could see the outline of mountains against the unusual red sky. The air seemed normal, but the reddish reflection gave the world a surreal quality.

Without a doubt, the Reverse Summoning Technique had worked.
