I'm Really Not A Nen Exorcist (HxH Fanfic)

Chapter 437: Chapter 437 Ging's Strength

Meanwhile…

At the location of the large tent, many soldiers' corpses littered the ground.

As the place storing the ancient artifacts, this place is naturally heavily guarded.

Even with the chaos in the military camp, the soldiers stationed here wouldn't leave their posts easily.

However, under such disorder, when this place was attacked, it will be difficult for enough reinforcements to arrive in time.

The Erimo Bandit Group had planned for this. When the time was right, they launched a relentless attack on the large tent storing the ancient artifacts.

The soldiers stationed here simply could not withstand the overwhelming power of four Nen Users led by Miro. They could not hold out for long before they were crushed by the powerful Nen attacks.

But the real obstacle wasn't these heavily armed soldiers.

It was-

"Heram."

Miro, the leader of the Erimo Bandit Group, looked toward a broad-eyed, thick-browed man standing among the soldier corpses, adorned with ten golden rings around his neck. A faint smile appeared on Miro's handsome and fair face.

This man with the golden rings around his neck, Heram, is none other than the most famous Nen Exorcist in the Luluci Country. He is also a non-hunter association Ruins Hunter with a prestigious reputation in the industry. Naturally, his strength wasn't to be underestimated.

Before taking action, the Erimo Bandit Group had already identified Heram as the biggest threat and obstacle for this operation.

However, the presence of the two Pro Hunters fighting alongside Heram was a development that Miro had not taken into account.

These two Miro are Satotz and Quinn, who were hired to restore the tomb.

Although the commission they were entrusted with had nothing to do with protecting the excavated objects, as professional Ruins Hunter, they couldn't just sit idly by.

"Mr. Heram, are you alright..."

Satotz glanced at the bleeding wound on the side of Heram's abdomen, and a hint of worry flashed across his eyes.

'Although there are only four people on the other side, each one of them is incredibly strong.'

'Especially the handsome man leading them...'

Heram didn't respond to Satotz's concern, his cold gaze fixed on Miro.

His gaze then shifted slightly, passing over the three Nen Users standing beside Miro.

One was built like a bear, with a simple, honest face and large, fan-like hands, named Kabak, codenamed Bear.

The second was thin and weak-looking, with a predatory gaze and an air of cruelty surrounding him. His name is Andre, codenamed Wolf.

The third was tall and lanky, with an ugly, toothy face and a large garlic-shaped nose, but his long fingers were surprisingly elegant. His name was Agathe, codenamed Hedgehog.

These three are core members of the Erimo Bandit Group, and their strength was among the top in the group.

So, even without the advantage of numbers, they had easily overpowered the heavily armed soldiers in a short period of time and managed to injure Heram, their biggest threat on the scene.

"Erimo Bandit Group, you bastards should have gone to hell long ago..."

Heram looked at Miro and his men with extremely sharp gaze.

However, no matter how sharp his gaze is, it couldn't change the current situation.

Miro suddenly whistled when he heard this.

When Heram heard the whistle, his eyes narrowed involuntarily, and his Nen moved along with it, quickly forming a defensive posture.

Satotz and Quinn did the same, immediately taking up defensive positions.

But nothing unusual happened in the area, only heavy rain continued to pour down.

Seeing the three's overly cautious reaction, the smile on Miro's face deepened.

This was the psychological advantage he had created after injuring Heram using his concealed Emission-Type Nen ability, which is triggered by a whistle.

Now, just the act of whistling, a seemingly trivial gesture, was enough to manipulate Heram and his comrades' reactions to a certain extent.

"Our target is what's in there."

After gaining the upper hand, Miro did not continue his pursuit. Instead, he pointed toward the tent behind Hram and his two companions with the air of a victor, smiling as he said:

"Any obstacle in our way will be swept aside. In other words, if you choose to flee obediently..."

"Cut the nonsense."

Heram interrupted Miro without hesitation.

As a seasoned Ruins Hunter, he knew the nature of the Erimo Bandit Group all too well.

Despite being cut off, Miro's smile didn't waver.

At this time-

A slightly shrill female voice came from inside the tent.

"Chief, the items are gone."

"Hm?"

After hearing what the woman said, Miro's ever-present smile slowly disappeared. He looked past Heram and the other two toward the half-open entrance of the tent with a questioning gaze.

Meanwhile, when Heram, Satotz, and Quinn heard the sudden voice coming from behind them, they were all startled and quickly turned sideways, focusing part of their attention toward the tent.

Then-

They saw a woman gradually reveal herself as if she had appeared out of thin air.

The woman had short hair, delicate features, and was dressed in tight clothing that accentuated her shapely figure.

Judging by the way she had been invisible until just moments ago, it was likely she had the ability to turn transparent.

"There are no signs of a secondary transport, but the items are indeed missing."

This woman is also a core member of the Erimo Thief Group, named Zaina, codenamed Chameleon.

She met Miro's questioning gaze and briefly explained the situation inside the tent, all while quickly assessing Heram and the others' reactions.

Heram, already alarmed by Zaina's sudden appearance, finally understood why Miro hadn't pressed his advantage earlier. Now, hearing that the artifacts they taken out from the tomb are missing, his expression changed.

Although those ancient artifacts merely burial items from the side chambers of the tomb, they were of significant archaeological value.

And now they had suddenly disappeared?

Before dealing with the Erimo Bandit Group's attack, Heram only had time to evacuate those members of the excavation team who were not capable of fighting, and he hadn't had the chance to move the artifacts.

'If the Erimo Bandit Group hadn't taken them, then who had stolen the artifacts?'

Zaina and Miro watched Heram's reaction closely, but they still harbored doubts.

"Very good."

Miro no longer smiled, but looked at Heram, Satotz and Quinn with cold murderous eyes.

"I don't want to waste too much time, so..."

However, Miro was interrupted before he could finish his words.

This time, it was a shadowy figure accompanied by the clinking of chains, tearing through the rain as it forcefully made a beeline for Miro's side.

This sudden attack immediately attracted the attention of everyone present.

Kabak, the hulking man with large, fan-like hands who stood just a few meters away from Miro, quickly moved forward to intercept the incoming shadow.

"Ainbo's iron ball?!"

Kabak narrowed his eyes upon recognizing the shadow's shape, and he instantly realized that Ainbo must have met a grim fate.

As his thoughts turned, Kabak mobilized his Nen and raised his hands to block the large iron ball charging toward him with lethal force.

Thwang!

A sharp sound echoed as Kabak caught the iron ball with ease. His bear-like frame remained immobile, showcasing his immense strength.

But at the moment Kabak caught the iron ball, Ging appeared out of nowhere above it and flicked his finger towards Kabak's head.

Whish!

A tiny Nen sphere, no larger than a thumbnail, shot from Ging's fingertip and cut through the rain before seamlessly entering Kabak's skull.

Kabak's body jolted as if he had felt something, his eyes filled with disbelief. Only then did he realize that Ging had appeared out of nowhere and was now standing atop the iron ball.

"You…!!!"

In the fleeting moments before his life drained away, Kabak had no time to think. He could only stare at Ging with shock in his eyes.

Immediately after-

His strength, along with his life, faded away.

The iron ball that was caught steadily before also fell to the ground.

Bang!

The iron ball hit the ground with a deafening sound.

But Ging remained standing atop the iron ball, without so much as a glance at the corpse next to the iron ball.

With just this one strike, a formidable Nen User was killed in an instant.

And this ability Ging used bore a striking similarity to Moses's attack methods.

Moses, who saw this scene through the shadow's shared vision, couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion in his heart.

'Is it the power of the Divine Script, or...'

He looked at Ging, who is standing on top of the iron ball, in surprise.
