I'm sorry love, I'm sorry

Chapter 2: chapter 2

Juliette.

Present

The first time I saw Joseph, my heart was pounding, there was something that attracted me beyond the physical. My life was full of potholes, it was full without direction, why? It was simple; I didn't remember my past.

Despite this, I was very attracted to him, I liked him a lot and even though I looked at him from afar, it was enough for me. He used to come almost often, it made it very easy for me to watch him.

I smiled at the customers as I left, I looked at the other table and Joseph was sitting looking at the menu.

They used to be frequent customers and normally only I served them.

"Welcome, are you ready to order?"

They both looked at me. "We haven't decided yet," said his friend.

I nodded, walking back to the bar. My classmates looked at him, totally in love; he had an attractive face, and I knew it.

"He's so charming," Leyla said. "Will they have a girlfriend?" It would be a waste if he didn't have it.

I rolled my eyes. “You don't even know him, and you're already jumping on him.”

No one knew where he came from; he just moved out of nowhere. I didn't like to judge people because I didn't know anything about my past either.

"It's mysterious; I like that." He shrugged and left behind the bar.

Go ahead; I'm not interested.

On the way to the bathroom, I do my things; minutes later, I leave and return to the same place. I see Leila at the bar again.

"What happened? "I ask, approaching her side.

"he wants you to take her order," she said, annoyed. She walks back to her place, but not before hitting me with her shoulder.

My other classmates laughed.

"Don't let that bitch get to you; she always wants to be the center of attention."

I nodded and returned to her table. “Excuse me, can I take your order?” Or do you want to wait?

"Not at all; I just want a coffee and a hamburger, said her friend.

I nodded, noting her order from him. Joseph continued to look carefully at the menu.

"I just want a strawberry shake."

"You will be given his order in a few minutes."

He was about to turn around to leave, but his hoarse voice stopped me.

"Are you late home?" I ask suddenly.

"What?" I was surprised. "Yes, sometimes." For the first time, I blushed.

"You shouldn't go alone; I'll take you home," she said, smiling.

Before she could answer him, her food was ready. After a few minutes, they finished eating and left. I felt shy next to her. That man was dangerous for me; he made my heart beat hard.

My entire work day, I thought about him, and before I knew it, I was closing the place. What I didn't expect was to find Joseph smiling at me.

I approached him.

"What are you doing here? It's too late.

He smiled. “I came for you; it's dangerous for you.”

I was fascinated by him and the dimples that appeared when he smiled at me. It would be my downfall.

We both began to walk in silence. It wasn't uncomfortable; it was quite the opposite. I felt safe.

"Do I make you feel uncomfortable?" Joseph asked, breaking the silence.

My gaze fell on his. "No, not really. I'm just tired."

"I understand. How long have you been working here?."

“Two years,” I said, looking at him.

"I came to this town to start over," he answered.

It seemed like it hurt to talk about it.

"Have you lost someone?" I asked.

"No, he left and disappeared as if he had never existed."

—Your ex-girlfriend?—He nodded. I would like to at least remember my past; it is better to live with memories than forget them, I answered, smiling.

He smiled back at me "you're right, don't you have any other relatives?

"I don't know; my mother doesn't like to talk about that. Everything that has to do with the past bothers her." Sigh "I have two children; one day they will need to know the truth, and I won't be able to tell them where they come from.

⇛ It's very frustrating; I can't move forward because of it. My babies are very small for now, but that day will come. I'm afraid they will hate me.

"Maybe it would be good to go to a doctor; he will know what to do, and he will give you some treatment.

"When I left the hospital, they offered it to me, but my mother rejected it; she said that knowing the truth would hurt me.

He shook his head. “You have the right to know.”

All the way, we kept talking until we reached my house.

"Thank you for bringing me home."

"I would like to do it from now on; can I do it?" I ask, "I want to meet you."

"What?" I opened my eyes in surprise.

"Let's go out. I like you."

My heart beats again, and my cheeks turn red. She left me speechless. Until her laughter brought me out of my trance.

"Did I leave you speechless? We're not in a hurry; think about it—he winked at me; he was about to leave when I came out of my trance.

I ran to where he was, took his arm, turned him around, and his face reflected surprise.

"Let's go out; I like you too, and no one has caught my attention like you," I reply. "It's crazy, but I want to try."

My hands rest on his chest, and I continue exploring him until I take his face in my hands. He brought my face closer to his.

"You surprised me; I'm quite surprised," he says, drawing his lips to mine. He gives me a kiss. “Go home,” he smiles.

"I see you tomorrow.

I smiled watching him leave.

*******

I found you.

He was really close to her again.

This time, he wouldn't let her go; I know it.

I get home and close the door behind me. Roberto is sitting in the living room.

"I thought you wouldn't come; it's after midnight."

"I brought Juliette home," I answered, looking at him, my eyes wide with surprise.

"Really? “It's too risky for you; do you think she'll notice?” he asked, distressed.

I shake my head. "She has no idea; what worries me is her mother."

"For now, she tries to avoid her at all costs, until she trusts you."

"I have a feeling that she doesn't trust her mother."

"It is better for us; we will unmask her in time."

I nodded my head. "You're right, there's no rush. "He smiled. "We'll get her back, I promise.

And he never broke a promise. He would soon know the truth that he so desired.

"I trust you; we will do it together.

She would wait until that day, and everything would go back to how she was.

As it should have been.
