I’m the Only Human at the Beastman Academy, and now Everyone seems Obsessed with Me.

Chapter 13.2

We stood up, and other students began following suit. Meanwhile, the cat Suins… ugh. Their nasty personalities were showing again as they hissed aggressively at the physical education TA.

This is why cat Suins are the worst.

“The more I see them, the more they seem like animals pretending to be human.”

“Ji-Ji-hyuk, y-you shouldn’t say things like that in front of other cat Suins…”

“Why not? There’s no one else here but us.”

“J-just the two of us…? H-hueeet.”

Why was she blushing now? This perverted rabbit… huh?

Bzzt—

“You’ve got a call, Ji-hyuk,” Eum-ah said, glancing at my phone.

“Oh, it’s them.”

“S-someone you know?”

“Well, yeah. Who else would call me?”

“T-that’s true! B-but… the name… Nam Min-seo?”

“Huh?”

What was this? A sudden chill ran down my spine.

“Gasp!”

“W-who is that? Is it… a girl?”

As expected, Eum-ah, who had seen the caller’s name, was now radiating an intense, murderous aura.

Has she ever looked this terrifying before? No, I don’t think so.

“So… Ji-hyuk… you’ve been in contact with another girl?”

“She’s not a girl!”

“…She’s not?”

“W-well, biologically, yes, she’s a girl, but… to me, she’s basically a guy with, uh, extra parts. You know, like a bro…”

“‘Bros’ who end up doing stuff together, huh?!”

“Wha—!”

Bam!

Eum-ah’s punch landed squarely in my solar plexus. Was this the infamous rabbit Suin’s true punch? My ribs… I think they’re broken…! No, wait—are they?

But more than the pain, I realized something shocking: she hadn’t stuttered at all when she yelled just now!

Thud! Thud!

Clutching my stomach and curling up in pain, Eum-ah’s relentless punishment continued! The dreaded rabbit Suin’s Indian Bap! It hurt so much! I was going to die!!

“Huueeet… Huueeet… Y-you’re not even dating me…! A-and yet you’re seeing another girl…!!”

“It hurts! My spine is going to snap!”

“M-my heart hurts more than that…!!”

She was right. We weren’t dating yet. Not that I, Ju Ji-hyuk, wanted to be that guy who ghosts after eating and running, but the idea of dating a Suin like Choi Eum-ah left me feeling conflicted and scared.

This was a girl with trauma surrounding sexual assault, and yet she had willingly opened herself to me. She was probably thinking about marriage, which made it impossible to treat our relationship lightly.

More importantly—

“Rabbits can have six or seven babies in one womb, and they have TWO wombs! That means if I mess up, I’m looking at fourteen kids in one go!!!”

The thought of becoming a patriotic (forced) baby-making machine terrified me.

Still, I had left my relationship with Eum-ah in this ambiguous state, and now the idea of me meeting another girl had clearly made her anxious.

I patted the top of her head with a serious expression, trying to comfort her.

“Don’t cry.”

“Hueeek…! I-I just… I really, really want to date you, Ji-hyuk…!”

“Let’s think about it some more. I’ll consider it—positively.”

The idea of being the father to fourteen kids was terrifying, but it wasn’t as though I disliked Eum-ah. She might be a bit clumsy, but she’s a kind-hearted girl. She’s sweet, has a great figure, and—well, let’s just say she has a lot of good points to consider positively!

“R-really…?”

“Of course. I mean it.”

“O-okay… But… spend Sunday doing homework with me, okay?”

“Sunday? Sure, why not.”

Come to think of it, I did have a written assignment to work on.

“Sounds good. Let’s do that.”

“…Yay.”

Only after securing her claim to my Sunday did Eum-ah’s mood seem to improve.

Later, back in the dorms, I turned on my phone. As expected, there was a KakaoTalk message from Nam Min-seo, who I had ignored earlier.

[Nam Min-seo: Why aren’t you answering? We said we’d meet this weekend; aren’t we making plans?]

[Me: I was with a friend.]

[Nam Min-seo: ?]

[Me: ?]

[Nam Min-seo: Friend? You?]

This little brat!

[Nam Min-seo: Haha, kidding. So, when are we meeting? Saturday or Sunday?]

[Me: Saturday, let’s go.]

I didn’t even hesitate before choosing Saturday. Why? Because Sunday was reserved for my Eum-ah!

“See, Eum-ah, I care about you so mu—wait, what?”

[Nam Min-seo: Wanna drink?]

“Alcohol? All of a sudden?”

Come to think of it, I haven’t had a single drop of alcohol since becoming an adult. I don’t even remember drinking with Nam Min-seo.

We did plan to once, but we were both so obsessed with grinding in the Rift before the semester started that we never actually scheduled it. Hmm. Drinking, huh? Sounds good!

[Me: Ok, let’s go.]

[Nam Min-seo: You’re not going home that night, lol.]

“Hah, very funny.”

Who says I won’t make it back home on Saturday?

[Me: Just don’t end up drunk and passed out on the street, lol.]

[Nam Min-seo: Haha.]

Saturday—the big day!

Today was the day I had plans with Nam Min-seo! Time left until the meetup: 30 minutes. Time it takes to walk to the meeting place: 1 hour.

“Well then, I guess I should start getting rea—AAAH! What the—!”

“Ji-Ji-hyuk… where are you going…?”

“Are you going to keep trespassing, Choi Eum-ah?! You scared the life out of me while I was changing my underwear!”

Eum-ah had let herself in through the veranda door without a sound, and now she was staring at me with a nervous look in her eyes.

Excuse me, but I’m the one whose privacy was invaded—why are you looking like that?!

“A-are you going… to meet a girl…?”

“I’m going to meet my biologically female bro. That’s not the same as meeting a girl.”

“Hmph… same thing, whatever…”

Oh great, now she’s pouting again. Still, I can’t say she looks annoying.

Maybe it’s her outfit?

I scanned her from head to toe. Eum-ah, who had just committed her latest act of illegal entry, was wearing a black tank top that emphasized the pale valley of her chest and black shorts so short that they revealed the underside of her thighs.

A dangerously seductive outfit.

…Oh.

“Uh-oh. It’s standing.”

“Hu-hueeet…!”
