I’m the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 1294: A Bountiful Harvest

After thoroughly investigating the area, Yuga quietly left, but he left behind Gengar and Mismagius to keep a close watch. If there was any movement inside, they were to report back to him immediately.

Upon returning to the Pokémon Center, Yuga went straight to sleep, acting as if he had never been out at all.

However, because he returned late the previous night, he didn't sleep well and ended up waking up quite late the next morning.

If it weren't for Bianca knocking on his door when she noticed he hadn't come out for a while, Yuga might have slept even longer.

Most diligent Trainers have the habit of waking up early to train their Pokémon, and Bianca was no exception. She had been hoping to run into Yuga during her morning training, intending to take the opportunity to ask him for advice on training Pokémon and to get his opinion on her Pokémon's progress. But to her surprise, Yuga was still asleep past eight or nine o'clock.

By the time Yuga woke up, breakfast hours had already passed, so he simply joined Bianca for lunch.

During the meal, Yuga asked, "Isn't your home in Nuvema Town? Why have you been staying here in Accumula Town for so long? Is there something keeping you here?"

Of course, there was nothing keeping her here! It was just that she ran into Yuga! Bianca thought to herself. Originally, she had only planned to pass through Accumula Town during her travels. Unexpectedly, she had encountered Yuga.

It was rare to meet such a "legendary" Trainer, so naturally, she wanted to seize the chance to learn something from him.

As Bianca stared at him with an intense gaze, Yuga felt a bit uncomfortable and asked awkwardly, "Wh-what's wrong? Did I say something wrong?"

Bianca shook her head and replied, "No, it's just that it's so rare to meet someone like you, Mr. Shimizu. I'm just trying to make the most of this opportunity because who knows if I'll ever get another chance…"

"Haha… haha…" Yuga laughed awkwardly, thinking to himself, Have I really become so charming that young girls are this smitten with me?

In the end, Yuga did end up guiding Bianca. The girl kept steering the conversation toward Pokémon training, pretending it was unintentional, but it was so obvious that Yuga couldn't miss her true intent.

In the end, my charm still loses out to Pokémon!

Since he had nothing else to do, Yuga figured he might as well offer her some pointers.

Although Bianca appeared clumsy at times, she was quite talented as a Trainer. Whenever Yuga guided her, she was able to grasp the concepts quickly, extending her understanding to other areas as well.

And so, in this dynamic of teaching and learning between Yuga and Bianca, the day passed by in the blink of an eye.

It wasn't until the third day that Gengar and Mismagius brought back some news.

Team Plasma's black market was about to open again, so the people over there were planning to transport a batch of Pokémon from the breeding facility to the cave, and the operation was personally overseen by Maxie.

Upon receiving this information, Yuga immediately set out. By the time he arrived at the cave, Maxie's group was just about to depart, so he trailed them from a distance.

With Cosmoem's psychic shield masking his presence and Gengar and Mismagius using their invisibility, there was no way Maxie's group could detect Yuga following them.

Maxie's group advanced deep into the mountains. Accumula Town was already located on the edge of the Unova region, surrounded by rugged, towering mountain ranges. If Team Plasma was carrying out secret operations in these mountains, it would indeed be hard for the League to discover them.

This was a major difference between the Pokémon world and Yuga's previous world.

In Yuga's past world, most of the land had already been thoroughly explored by humans. But the Pokémon world was so vast, with countless untouched regions. These pristine areas not only nurtured a wide variety of Pokémon but also provided fertile ground for dark organizations, such as those dissatisfied with the League's rule, to grow and develop.

This is one of the reasons why dark organizations in the Pokémon world have consistently left a significant mark on history.

Yuga trailed Maxie's group for an entire day until they reached a circular valley.

The valley was surrounded by high and steep mountains on all sides, with only a narrow canyon serving as the entrance and exit—a natural bottleneck that looked like a thread of sky.

The valley seemed like a paradise hidden from the world, with flowers blooming everywhere and streams trickling melodiously. Many young Pokémon were playing on the grass, guided by people dressed in strange uniforms.

Seeing this scene, Yuga recalled what Granbull had said about being familiar with the environment surrounding the breeding facility. Was this what it meant by "familiar"?

No wonder he couldn't find anything near Accumula Town no matter how hard he searched. That Granbull really was a scam!

Still, he had finally found the place. Watching those Purrloin, Venipede, and Scraggy... Yuga could almost drool.

(☆o☆)

Mine, mine, they're all mine!

Although he was brimming with excitement inside, Yuga didn't rush to snatch the Pokémon. Instead, he used his invisibility abilities to carefully survey the entire valley.

Team Plasma had developed this valley extensively. They had built no fewer than five or six Ecopark, leveraging the valley's excellent natural environment. Some of these Ecopark were enclosed, while others were semi-open, and all of them housed a large number of Pokémon.

Yuga suspected that this might be one of Team Plasma's primary locations for distributing Pokémon internally.

Guarding this valley were two of Team Plasma's Seven Sages, Giallo and Rood. Yuga didn't actually recognize these two old men—if not for hearing others call them by their names, he wouldn't have known their identities.

He wondered just how strong these two were. To be stationed in such an important place by Team Plasma, their strength must be considerable, Yuga thought.

These two were quite sharp. If not for Cosmoem's assistance, Yuga might have been discovered by them.

While Gengar and Mismagius could help Yuga stay invisible, they couldn't conceal his aura. Thanks to Cosmoem wrapping him in its psychic power, Yuga managed to remain undetected.

After Yuga had mostly understood the situation in the valley, Maxie had already left with a group transporting Pokémon.

The Pokémon being transported by Team Plasma were clearly not of the highest quality—they weren't meant for legitimate Trainers but for the black market. High potential Pokémon were, of course, kept for Team Plasma's internal use.

After Maxie left, Yuga suddenly thought of a problem. If he took all the Pokémon here, what would he do with the people? He couldn't possibly kill them all, right?

While he wasn't opposed to killing when necessary, there were at least a thousand people here. Killing them all... well, Yuga wasn't sure he had the stomach for it.

And if he did slaughter them, wouldn't he become a mass murderer?

Should he report this to the League?

But if the League got involved, there was no way he could keep all the Pokémon for himself. That would feel like a loss.

After much deliberation, Yuga came up with a plan.

He quietly left the valley and found a hidden spot to call Cynthia, asking if she was still with Caitlin.

Fortunately, Cynthia hadn't yet left Unova and was still staying at Caitlin's place. Yuga then told Cynthia about his discovery and asked her to inform Caitlin, suggesting that Caitlin lead Unova League forces to "suppress the bandits."

Given the large number of Team Plasma members in the valley, as well as the situation in the cave, Yuga specifically reminded Cynthia to have Caitlin bring plenty of people to avoid being outnumbered.

Moreover, they needed to arrive secretly. If Team Plasma noticed anything amiss, it could complicate things.

After finishing the call, Yuga hid outside the valley again.

Caitlin's team moved quickly. By the afternoon of the next day, Cynthia called Yuga to say they had arrived in Accumula Town.

Cynthia herself had also come to assist Caitlin.

After receiving Cynthia's call, Yuga didn't immediately return to Accumula Town to meet up with them. Instead, that night, he once again infiltrated the valley, visiting every Ecopark inside.

The night was silent, with most of Team Plasma fast asleep, leaving only a few patrolling members still awake.

Yuga arrived at the first Ecopark, where a Team Plasma member was on guard. Gengar, concealed and invisible, used Hypnosis, and the guard collapsed softly to the ground.

Next, Yuga summoned Mismagius.

With Gengar, Mismagius, and Dusknoir working together, they deployed spatial techniques, creating a dimensional barrier that instantly enveloped the entire Ecopark. This ensured that whatever happened inside wouldn't alert anyone outside.

The first Ecopark primarily housed Purrloin and Liepard. Activating his Insight skill, Yuga scanned for high-potential Pokémon and then released Vivillon.

A shower of Sleep Powder descended, lulling all the Pokémon in the Ecopark into a deep sleep.

Effortlessly, Yuga captured most of the high-potential Liepard and Purrloin, securing 10 Liepard and 12 Purrloin, all of which were green potential Pokémon.

Yuga repeated the same process with the other Ecopark.

In the second Ecopark, primarily home to Scraggy and Scrafty, Yuga captured eight Scrafty and 15 Scraggy. Among them, one Scrafty was blue potential Pokémon, while the rest were green potential Pokémon.

The third Ecopark housed Whirlipede, Venipede, and Scolipede in large numbers, the most populous among all the parks. Yuga captured 18 Scolipede, 16 Whirlipede, and 23 Venipede, all green potential Pokémon.

The fourth Ecopark featured Ducklett and Swanna. Yuga collected five Swanna and 12 Ducklett, two of which were blue potential Pokémon.

The final Ecopark housed a mixed variety of Pokémon, so Yuga was more selective. He captured five Escavalier, five Accelgor, and four Audino, all green potential Pokémon.

Yuga was particularly thrilled to find Audino here, a very rare Pokémon on par with Chansey. These four Audino were tasked with caring for young Pokémon in the valley and had exceptional utility value, instantly catching Yuga's attention.

With so many Pokémon in his Ecopark, Yuga could never have too many Pokémon skilled in caregiving.

Yuga didn't take all the high potential Pokémon, leaving behind some green potential and blue potential ones. After all, once Caitlin and the others arrived, the Pokémon here would belong to the League. If there were no high-potential Pokémon left, it would raise suspicions.

By leaving some, even if Caitlin noticed Yuga's actions, he could feign ignorance.

When questioned, he'd simply play dumb. Yuga had done it before without hesitation.

Working against the clock, Yuga moved quickly. After collecting the Pokémon, he left the valley, thrilled with his massive haul.

Before leaving, Yuga stationed his Aegislash at the valley's entrance to prevent Team Plasma from escaping if they noticed something amiss.

Once outside the valley, Yuga called upon Cosmoem, who teleported him directly to the cave's entrance. The long-distance teleportation left even Cosmoem visibly exhausted.

The reason Yuga returned to the cave was that he had set his sights on the Reuniclus and Zoroark inside.

Before entering the cave, Yuga summoned Decidueye, handed it a note, and instructed it to deliver the message to Caitlin and Cynthia in Accumula Town.

Due to the time constraint, Yuga didn't have the luxury of returning himself.

After Decidueye departed, Yuga entered the cave and located the hidden chamber where Zoroark and the Reuniclus were kept.

However, he left Ninetales stationed at the cave entrance.

This time, without Cosmoem's concealment, the moment Yuga entered the chamber, all the Reuniclus—except the sleeping Zoroark—immediately sensed his presence.

Before they could sound the alarm, though, Gengar, Mismagius, and Dusknoir had already activated their spatial abilities. The dimensional barrier instantly suppressed the psychic signals of the Reuniclus and the illusions created by Zoroark.

Outside the cave, as the psychic barrier and illusions vanished, the Team Plasma who are guarding at the entrance noticed the anomaly, and the sound of alarms echoed through the cave.

By the time Maxie arrived with reinforcements and found the hidden chamber, Yuga had already captured Zoroark and thirty Reuniclus into Poké Balls.

"Shimizu Yuga! What are you doing here?"

Maxie's face was filled with shock at the sight of Yuga. He couldn't fathom how Yuga had discovered this place or how he managed to get inside.

Without even considering resistance, Maxie turned to his subordinates and shouted, "Retreat! Retreat!"

The memory of Yuga's battle with the legendary Pokémon had left such a deep impression on Maxie that he couldn't muster the courage to fight back.

Yuga instructed Gengar and the others to dissipate the spatial barrier and watched calmly as the scattered Team Plasma members fled in all directions without taking action.

The panicked Team Plasma members rushed toward the cave's entrance, only to be met by waves of searing flames, effectively blocking their escape.

Ninetales sat leisurely at the entrance, spraying flames inside as per Yuga's instructions. The fire from a Level 100 Pokémon wasn't something anyone could endure.

When Decidueye returned with Cynthia and Caitlin, the first thing they saw was Ninetales unleashing flames, leaving them momentarily speechless.

As soon as Ninetales noticed Cynthia and her group, it retracted its flames and allowed Yuga to come out.

Yuga briefly explained the situation inside the cave to Cynthia and Caitlin, after which they decided to split into two teams.

Cynthia led one group to handle the people and assets in the cave, while Yuga took Caitlin and the rest of the team to surround the valley.

Other than capturing the Reuniclus and Zoroark, Yuga hadn't touched anything else in the cave.

There was plenty of valuable stuff inside, worth an enormous amount of money. Just thinking about it made Yuga's heart ache, but he forced himself to stop. Taking only what was appropriate was enough.

At this point, dawn had yet to break. Yuga, along with Caitlin and the others, quickly headed toward the valley.
