Chapter 196: Chapter 196 - Aren's Punishment

Third person POV

And then, Aren's dismay turned to sheer anger, and Aren ordered his nearby guards to capture and arrest Russell and his friends. But before that happens, everything pauses, but Aren and Russell are the ones who don't get frozen by the pausing of time. And then, Ester came down from his high realm via teleportation of magic and began walking towards Aren while saying to him coldly and upsettingly, "How disappointed are you, Aren Krähenblut …"

Aren was taken aback by his presence, while Russell was surprised to see him again, remembering his first meeting with him months ago.

Not remembering about Ester, Aren became frightened at Ester's dark and angry aura and asked him, "W-Who are you?"

And then, in front of Russell, Ester punched Aren and grabbed the selfish prince of the Batela nation by his wedding clothes. "You little, selfish bastard, still selfish as ever, even in this life…" Aren was scared of him, and Russell was surprised with shock to see that.

"W-What do you want from me?" Aren frighteningly asked Ester.

"Nothing," replied Ester coldly. I am here to punish you for your selfishness."

The Elder Guardian then threw him to the ground and resumed time, unpausing everything around them.

Everyone was stunned to see Ester, and Arius, alongside the priest and a handful of Aren's soldiers were in fear because these guys knew that the boy was Ester in his human form. The May party, Elai, and her party, and others were stunned as well, and these people didn't even know about Ester. And then, in full of everyone in the scene, Ester exposed to them the true identity of Aren, who was a Renad from another fantasy world. His former identity is a prince named Hadrian Rollrock, from a powerful nation. That person had died by falling down a flight of stairs. His life back in that world was basically the same as his current life: selfish, greedy, and oppressive, as well as self-centered. Ester had reincarnated him as Aren Krähenblut of Batela to try to make him a better person, but it didn't work either. Hadrian, as Aren Krähenblut, remained selfish and oppressive as ever. Still, after that Renad had overstepped boundaries by trying to coerce Elai into marrying him despite betraying and deceiving her in the past, Ester decided that enough was enough and came down to that world to punish him. Eventually, Ester punished Aren for his long arrogant and selfish attitude with the 100th Amnesia. This means that, by the 100th reincarnation cycle, that person's previous life's memories will be wiped out. Aren, despite not feeling anything at all, was shocked and horrified upon hearing from Ester about that punishment.
