IN Harry Potter With a System

(Andromeda's POV)

"Why Harry?" Hearing his words, I couldn't help but ask.

"Pardon?" I could see that he did not really want to answer my question but I felt like I needed to know it.

"Why are you doing all this? Employing Healer, Lawyer, bodyguards, Can you please tell me why? " I asked, this time more clearly.

"What will you do knowing that Andy? You have taken a vow of absolute secrecy so you can't tell anyone about it. Moreover what will I gain from telling you such hidden secrets? It will not benefit me in any way." His words shut me up.

I thought 'He is right, why should he tell me even if there is anything. He wouldn't lose anything by not telling me this and might even be able to benefit from it some time in the future.

I feel like this information may prove crucial in dealing with some future events but What is it that I can give him for this information... Yes, that might be something he would want.'

"Harry, from your words I can gather that you do not have much favourable impression of Dumbledore and his followers. And to be able to manoeuvre around him, you will need solid information. so I'm ready to exchange information for information."

"Hmm.. Now that is an interesting proposal. But no.."

"What!! but why.. You will get some real information about various parties involved around you." His refusal was unexpected. It made me think' Does the information he has is so precious that my deal doesn't appeal to him. But what can it be.. Damn, I can't even use legilimency on him due to the contract.'

"Harry, just please tell me one thing.. Does the information affect me and my family? " I waited for his answer with bated breaths. No matter if he was a child or not, he was the boy-who-lived. He might really know something.

He looked into my eyes very seriously and said, " very much so." His answer made me feel even more panicked... I needed to know the information. I knew He would be in Hogwarts in a few days for maybe the next 10 months.

Calming myself I asked, " What do you want in exchange for your information?"

"Andromeda, let's be frank here. What if after getting the information from me, you decide to simply resign from the job. Even the information you have is not of much importance to me. I can make do without it. It is simply a losing deal for me." this got me thinking about what he said and what options I had.

"Harry, tell me clearly what would it take for you to share any and all information you have that may affect me and my family."

" I want you, mr. Tonks and ms. Tonks to become my employees for at least the next 10 years. During which you and your husband will also have to play the role of my advisors. Andy, please don't think that I'm taking advantage of your situation. The information I have is very very sensitive and without this much guarantee I will not be assured of sharing it with anyone." His words me me very anxious.. I didn't know what should be done.

"Andy, you are a good woman. During this whole conversation you did not ever think about using force against me and that proves my point. But I don't know your husband. My situation is very precarious right now as you can observe from all this security and secrecy.

If you become my true friend then I promise to help but as you can see I don't have anyone to fall back to so I can't afford to take any risk at the moment. I just hope you will try to understand me as well."

His words woke me up from the daze. I realised that He was right. I am a grown woman with my husband and daughter to rely on. We also should not be the direct target of someone as powerful as Dumbledore. But I still panicked. And he... He was very smart and mature, no doubt.. But he was still only an 11 year old kid, all alone with no one to watch his back. If just this little confrontation shook me so much ,what might he be feeling all those time.

"Harry, If you sign another contract with me and my family that you will not hide anything that can affect us, then I will convince Ted and Dora to sign the employment contract you want us to." I finally decided to go all out. Unknown is indeed much more terrifying.

(Harry's POV)

Hearing Andy's words, I nodded inwardly. That was exactly the outcome I had wanted to achieve. It was a win-win for both me and them.

"Alright Andy.. We will meet at 4pm tomorrow at this very place. While you are trying to convince your family please don't forget about your vow of absolute secrecy.. If it would help you, you can call me before trying to explain them to take the vows of absolute secrecy."

Bidding her farewell I finally went to my mom's trunk. At times like this, I miss having a personal home, but soon.. soon..
