In my Devil's Arms

Chapter 136: The Shareholders Meeting

So the day arrived. The team was completely prepared.

" Eat from lunch boxes we prepared", said Grace. She was worried about poison.

" Okay", said Ro.

" These are the compiled financial reports", said Shai handing him a few papers. " I have highlighted the points we discussed."

" Okay Maddy you speak when the will is mentioned", said Raj.

" Okay".

" I am joining as shareholser", said Ro. " Maa had a share too. I got that too. I now hold 2%", said Ro.

" Good for us", said Raj.

The team marched to the main hall.

" Kenny you join me to represent Queens", said Raj.

" Okay.

Kamini was restless too. All her strategies, hard work she poured in for years and the plotting she did was being tested.

" When he rebelled and his father threw him out I thought that was end of it. Now he comes back and cause a ruckus here", she said to Bhanu.

" He is a fox that Rajeev. My girl is bewitched. She does not get that Rahul is good for her", said Bhanu.

Kamini pursed her lips.

HELL WITH THAT GIRL. Once all this ends in her favour she will get Rahul far away from her. And marry him to a girl of her choice.

Tackling Rajeev was her top priority. Elusive, liar, cunning as a fox, with a complete black heart and nine lives the monster was spreading his heads like hydra. IN PARTY HE EMBODIED SATAN. And those four devils helping him...Aaah horrible horrible.

She lit a cigarratte and smoked perfectly using a holder. She needed external help. She dialled a number.

The call connected

Meanwhile

Rahul and Rakesh were worried about Kamini.

" She should slow down and avoid direct confrontation with him. I don't want him to hurt her", said Rakesh. He has understood that Rajeev was dangerous.

" Only if she listens to me. She concentrates just on profits and no investments. I am running that art department on my own. Given a chance...", he said in exasperation.

" No use. She does not listen. I was against breaking that contract with farmers. I am afraid what if Rajeev capitalises on that", said Rakesh.

" He will", sighed Rahul. " Mother is mistaken. The b*stard knows business".

" How can you say that"?

" Kenny would have never stood by him otherwise. I trust her judgement", said Rahul sadly. Too bad she was on his side he thought.

" She was enquiring about the curse on our family", he said

" Ohh no", said Rakesh. " They must not find out".

" Funny thing is that our brother agrees", snorted Rahul.

" At least he has that much decency", said Rakesh.

But they were scared.

As Raj entered the meeting hall he saw Rahul. Both of them ignored each other.

" Best of luck Kenny", Rahul wished her playfully.

" Same to you", she smiled back.

She hugged both the twins as Raj kept scowling.

" Shiva help us all", Kenny prayed.

The Shareholder's meeting started sharply at 10A.M.

Old king Randheer stood up. He said,

" I welcome all the shareholders of Bhishma on account of my company. Our vision for you all is to see that you receive maximum returns on your investment. "

There was a mild applause.

" My eldest grandson Rajeev has agreed to my request to join this company. He is a partner since the age of 13 and I hope you all will welcome him; based on his prowess of business of course."

" Let us first discuss the performance of Bhishma in this quarter", said a gentleman.

" Dharm Bansal", whispered Parry. " Not on our side".

Rahul stood up.

" In the last quarter the company saw a boom in the selling pf our prodicts in east Asia. We captured a new market in west Asia. Our cloth was bought by top designers in India and west", he said. " Our records show impressive profits", he said.

" So as you all can see Rahul is managing Bhishma well", said Kamini.

" Now prince Rakesh will present new ventures", said Bhanu.

" We focus now on European and Australian market. We are buying export quality cotton from UP and West Bengal markets. We get them in low cost. We have also started Rayon manufacturing ", he said.

" Are all the shareholders present", Kenny asked Parry.

" Not Mr. Ramcharan Oberoi", said Parry.

" Heard that name before somewhere", she said.

" Vikram Oberoi's father", he replied.

" You know him", she asked.

" He disappeared after his son's death managing everything remotely. That person in muave suit is Veer his representative", he replied.

" Oohh", she said as her face fell.

" My eldest son has shown no interest in running the family business. He knows nothing about it. It will take time for him to learn", she halted deliberately. " To understand and run it without the proper business training." She made a sad face.

" I mean I get that we all will be happy to have him but shareholders investment and interests should not be compromised", said Rahul joining his mother.

" I believe he has an art degree", said Kamini with disgust. " No offence to artists", she said as Rahul stared at ground clenching his fist; " But we run a business here".

" And business requires years of training and dedication".

" Prince Rajeev", said a man. " My name is Dheerajbhai Ramani. "Today I chair this meeting. We all would like to hear from you too".

Rajeev stood up smartly. He walked in front of everyone throwing an evil smile to his brothers.

" He is going to do something unexpected ", said Rakesh. " Expect worse. This is the smile he gave us when he went for the kill in that damn Polo match after the half time".

Rahul remembered it too.

" I hope we win. Mother is highly invested. If we lose she will throw a fit and we will be the ones facing her ire", he said.

Raj took the stage.

" I am thankful to all the shareholders who are present here taking time out of their tight schedules. Bhishma is as close to my heart as my late father was", he halted looking at Kamini.

" I know I have been missing out on this as I pursued my degree in states and was busy in my ventures over there. But I did keep a track of Bhishma. "

He looked at the twins

" And although I am impressed by how my brothers are running it by I am sure the hard won business degrees", he halted smiling.

Solly and Maddy chuckled.

" I believe I can further improve it", he said.

" With a dancing degree", said Bhanu.

" What's in a degree", said Raj. "Business is dine by heart and decisions are taken by mind."

Someone looked up sharply. He has heard this statement before.
