The next day

I woke up early, I went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast

I made golden yam with omelette and fries, then I made 'normal tea' I also made french toast and black tea in case of incasity

When he came to the dining, he sat down and I served him, it was a miracle he didn't complain

I waited until I thought it was right before I spoke "umm, I have an appointment with some patients at the hospital today and I won't be back till 2:30pm so I thought I should let you know" I said straight forwardly and he briefly glanced at me before saying

"You're not going" he said firmly

I saw that coming

"Why?" I asked calmly and he gave me a who- do-you-think-you-are-to-question me look, but he answered anyways "My friend will be coming over today and you will do your wifely job by catering for him" he said indifferently and I raised a brow

"Wait, so because your friend is coming over, you want me to cancel my appointments just to cook for 'em???" I questioned and he met my gaze and said "yes"

Like seriously!! does he think I'm going to play around in the hospital?? What's wrong with this guy

I rubbed my forehead before I spoke again "okay, by what time is he coming?" I asked

"2pm" he said

I think I can reschedule my appointments

"What if I come back by 12pm?" I insisted and he looked at me with a raised brow

"Didn't you hear what I said earlier, you are not going 'anywhere' " he emphasized on the last word

"This is very important try to understand, I need to be at the hospital, I promise you I'll be back early and cook whatever you want, please" I said the last word in a way that even I couldn't hear myself clearly

I can't believe I'm begging him

"Okay then, if you insist" he said and stood up "the list will be given to you, but, if any of the things listed is failed to be prepared, then blame yourself for whatever comes next" he said sternly and walked away, I sighed

I wonder what list he is talking about anyway

As if Olivia read my thoughts, she gave me a note with a list of dishes, at first I thought it was some kind of menu, but then

It wasn't

This is the list he was talking about

Am I some kind of food manufacturing machine to make 15 DISHES! within 2 HOURS!!

And for just ONE PERSON!!!

This is highly unfair, right now, I think he is trying to take some kind of sick revenge on me I looked through the list and most of them are snacks thankfully, so I made an order and strictly asked Olivia not to let anyone else collect it when it arrives because for now, she is the only person I could rely on

After that, I went back to my room and had a bath, then I dressed in a material flay gown, I wore a matching veil and shoe, I got my bag and slid my stuffs into it, I put on kohl and a little lipgloss to my face and zoomed off

On my way to the hospital, I called my assistant and asked her to reschedule my appointments, when I got to the hospital, it was already 8am and by 8:30am I started seeing the first patient and I made sure to spend 1hr 30mins with each patient

By 11:30am, I was done, so I went home afterwards, immediately I got home, I had a quick shower and dressed in a random gown, I got my hair in a french pleat and put on a matching scaff then I headed for the kitchen and started cooking immediately

I asked Olivia if the order has been delivered and she said no

I just hope it is brought before Davecomes back

Just as I was about to call again, I heard the doorbell, I hastily went and opened it just to meet an unknown man with a p-cap

"Good afternoon, an order was placed by Mrs Dave from this address" he said politely and in a professional manner

"Oh yes I am the one" I said and let out a small sigh

"Okay then, I'll just get the orders" he said and disappeared, soon he was back with boxes of pastries, I got some maids to take them in while I signed the papers he requested, I thanked him and he left afterwards

I inspected them, and they were just as I wanted, I unpacked them and kept them aside then I was left with making the remaining dishes, I made chicken &egg wraps, peppered chicken curry, potato & beans salad, steamed chicken dumplings, spiced vegetable rice, spiced cabbage stir fry, potato and minced beef curry etcetera

With the help of Olivia, it was hectic though, I didn't realize that time had gone by until I heard the doorbell, a maid went to see who it was and soon came back with Davestrolling behind one hand was in his pocket and the other one was over his shoulder as he used two fingers to hold onto his suit jacket

"Hlo, welcome" I said unsure of what else to do as he stood at the entrance of the kitchen, but being the arrogant man he is, he didn't reply my hlo instead he only nodded slightly and walked in

"So, are you done?" he asked smugly

"Almost" I said indifferently

"Well you better get it done ASAP, he'll be here any moment" he said in a stern voice

"Sure" I said and he left, I made the caramel yoghurt, banana pudding and a few other desserts, then I got everything in place before going back to my room, I decided to take a good bath that lasted 40 minutes before I came out and then I rubbed my lotion and dressed in a red dress, I blow dried my hair and got it in a casual bun and got a matching veil Just then, I heard a knock, I opened the door just to find Olivia, Davehad sent her to get me, I suspected that this special friend of his was finally here, I wore my flip-flops and adjusted myself in the mirror, I like my face natural so I didn't bother putting on any make up

I strolled behind Olivia, on our way to the sitting room, I heard some noises but as soon as I stepped into the room, it became oddly silent, when I looked up, I met two pairs of eyes staring at me, the all too familiar dusty brown eyes were looking at me indifferently while the caramel brown eyes which strangely looked like shaloms' was staring at me in awe and disbelief

It felt so uncomfortable, I felt the sudden urge to clear my throat, but Davebeat me to it and that was when his friend came out of his daze, Dave was about to speak when he received a call, he excused himself and left leaving me alone in this awkward situation but his said to be friend broke the silence

"Uhm... so, you must be Anna, Dave's wife right?" he said awkwardly and I nodded slightly "Yes" I said and he smiled broadly

"Well, I'm Daniel, it's good to see you" he said

"Same here" I replied and he was about to say something again but I quickly said "excuse me" and briskly walked away

I went to the dining and started setting the table, after I was done, I went ahead and called them over, after which I served them and made my way out when Dave called

"Where are you going, come here and serve yourself" I turned around and arched my brows at him but he signaled for me with his eyes to come and sit, I hesitated

"Come on" he insisted and I reluctantly walked back to the table, I saw his friend staring at me from the corner of my eyes, I felt so uneasy as I served my self rice with cabbage sauce and sat down with two pairs of eyes following my every move, just then a call came in and thankfully it was for me
