In My Feelings

"Anna "dad called from the dining where he was taking his coffee "yes "I answered and went to see what he wanted

"I want you and your sister to get ready, we will be visiting a friend of mine later today" he said and I nodded "okay... but do I have to go? "I asked "yes well, I want you especially to be there, it's nothing much, he just wants to see you girls, then we'll talk a little business and that's all, just be ready by 3:00pm okay? "He said "sure, I'll inform Shalom "I said and left

When I told shalom about it, she was rather happy, I found out that she had been to the house while I was away.

At noon, I went to her room to ask her to start getting ready just to find her already getting dressed, so I went back to my room, I took a quick shower and applied my lotion, then I dressed up in a pink camisole with black stripes and a fuchsia pink kimono with white and black polka dots, I tied my hair in a neat bun, then I applied kohl and lip-gloss, I got my veil and flats, then I sprayed my perfume. Got my phone and headed out

I found Shalom still checking herself out through the lengthy mirror and I face palmed myself, I had to literally drag her out, dad was already waiting on the passenger's seat, the driver was on the driver's seat and we sat at the back seat in the black SUV, the driver started the car when we were all set and zoomed off and Shalom of course didn't fail to disturb the hell out of me and she did that to the extent that I had to 'whisper thank you lord' when we got to the house

We walked out of the car and headed to the house or mansion rather. It was beautiful though, but too big for my liking. We were welcomed by a woman who looked to be in her mid-fifties, she was beautiful and spoke gracefully, we exchanged pleasantries and entered, the woman ushered us with varieties of snacks and drinks

Before long, dad's friend was out and a new round of exchange of pleasantries happened again

"So, is this Anna? "The man asked with a smile etched to his face as he glanced at me, then back to dad

"Yes, she is my first daughter, she came back recently from Dubai and is now working as a neurologist "dad said proudly

"That's great, I'm proud of your achievements "dad's friend said smiling heartily

"Thank you "I said with a ghost of a smile

"Oh and shalom how are you? "He inquired turning to Shalom

"I'm fine thank you sir "she replied and he nodded

"Okay now you girls should go and join up with the girls they're in Emma's room, Shalom I'm sure you must be familiar with the house by now right?" he said, she nodded and stood up from where she sat

"Go on "he said again and we left the scene
