LIGHTNOVELWORLD Chapter 13: Hunting pirates: East Blue bounty buffet
-One week later-
Carter finally reached the east blue. And the moment he did he was met with a new quest.
[New task available:
-Bounty buffet
You have entered the east blue, the weakest of the seas. Take out enough pirates to equal 100 million berries.
Rewards: .5 attribute points for every bounty over 5 million, 50 shop points for every bounty over 5 million, random skill token]
"That's a damn good reward. I just need to hunt a bunch of no-names," Carter smirked as he turned his gaze to the open seas.
'The highest bounty in the east blue is Arlong with 20 million, most pirates in the sea have barely over 3 million on their heads.' Carter thought "This is gonna take a lot of pirates to fill the quota."
"It's gonna be a slaughter!" he cried with glee at the prospect of cleaning up this sea.
—Two hours later—
In the original one piece OVA, on a small island. The pirate Ganzack worth 8 million berries and his crew had taken over a town with a powerful plesiosaur and had forced its inhabitants to build him a massive ship to challenge the grad line with.
And much to Carter's glee he had located this island. The massive "devil's tower" had been quite the giveaway.
"Hmm, now that I think about it. That plesiosaur had some armor on its head and neck right? I suppose Dive could use some extra protection."
Taking out Dive's pokeball, he then released the massive lapras and landed Justice on her shell.
"La? Lapras?"
"We're about to kill a pirate that has a plesiosaurus as a pet, it's up to you whether we kill it or not given the similarity in your species."
"La…pras."
About twenty three minutes later Carter was painting over the Ganzack pirates insignia on Dive's new armor while the now unarmored plesiosaur watched from a distance. Ganzack's head was safely sealed away in his inventory with the other bounties and it was time to move on to his next target.
The poor excuse of a man was dead before he could register that his base had been invaded. Justice had swiftly taken care of the other members of the crew.
"Oi, plesiosaur." Carter said to the nervous creature, "Go to the grand line and find an island called Little Garden, there's a bunch of prehistoric creatures like you. You should feel right at home."
The plesiosaur nodded and dove into the sea.
–Five hours later–
"Gahg!" the last member of the Eldorado pirates' 'hyena three' let out a drowned gagging sound as Carter slit his throat. The other two had already been killed.
"Who the hell are you!?" Carter turned around only to see Eldorago himself and his hired help Golass.
"I'm your executioner." he said with a smirk
"Ha! You think a shrimp like you can beat me!? I have a bounty of ten million berries!" Eldorado bragged without knowing a damn thing about who he was facing. 'This kid thinks he's hot shit huh? Well let's see how he reacts to my massive bounty.'
"Ten million?" Much to Eldorago's shock, Carter began to laugh. "Listen buddy, I just got here from the grand line. I've killed pirates worth hundreds of millions of berries. To me. You. Are. Nothing."
Carter gave the two no time to react as he let out a haki slash towards them.
Sensing danger, Eldorago jumped away but Gollas was cut in half, killing him instantly.
'Damn! This kid isn't normal, is what he said really true!?' Eldorago thought as he began to panic. 'No time to think that, I have to kill him now.'
"Damn kid! Face my devil power!" Eldorago inhaled deeply. 'No matter how good he is with a sword, my devil fruit will kill him for sure!'
"AAAHHHHHH!!!!!!" Eldorago let out a massive burst of energy from his mouth.
Carter simply smirked at the attack and allowed Al to swallow up the energy. Eldorago looked absolutely perplexed as he started at the shadow-like demon.
"Hmm, it tastes like a pop-rock." Al observed.
"Not supringing since it came from the goe goe no mi, it's literally called the scream scream fruit. No way in hell it wouldn't have some sort of kick to it."
"W-what the hell are you!?" Eldorago demanded with horror written on his face.
An oppressive aura surrounded him as Carter gave the pirate a wicked smile. Eldorado started to tremble as Carter began to chuckle, and his panic only grew as the chuckle evolved into a dark and disturbing laughter.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I told you already didn't I?"
The color drained from the pathetic pirate's face as he recalled Carter's earlier words.
Seeing his opponent's pale face Carter smirked. "That's right…"
"I'M YOUR EXECUTIONER!"
The pirate screams filled the sky as his fate was sealed.
A few moments later Carter carefully stored the Goe Goe no mi as well as the heads of Eldorago and Golass into his inventory. He also placed the massive haul of treasure in his inventory as well.
He had to hand it to Eldorago, he had a LOT of gold and jewels. By the time he had merged all the gold coins, solid gold ornaments and Eldrago himself's armor into ingots he had 45 one kilogram ingots.
'Well, onto the next one'

A few more hours later and Carter had stumbled onto a battle between pirates. Cannons fired and the ships splintered as the battle between the Shupeal and Galley pirates. Flipping through the bounty book he found the two crews.
-Shupeal pirates

Captain: The hexagon: Shupeal. 3,500,000 berri, Maji Maji no mi (magic magic fruit), allows the user to use magic typical of a general party magician.
-Gally pirates

Members with bounties: one
Captain: Crescent moon: Gally. 5,000,000 berri, pistol user.
'Man, [Kin of devils] seriously works, doesn't it? This is my second devil fruit today.'
"It most definitely does carter-boy" Al added his opinion as Justice nodded her head.
Both were nothing special so he just let justice and Dive play with the crews after taking his bounties and the devil fruit. Shupleal put up a small fight with his devil fruit's telekinesis ability but wood release made short work of him.
He then encountered Billy 'The orca killer' and his Yes pirates. Billy thought he was hot shit cause he had the skillful grade blade: Yamaoroshi. The sword itself was pretty nice, it was a very large odachi but it was pretty damn light and made a fine addition to his growing collection of Meito and Yoto swords.
He eventually encountered a crew not mentioned in any one piece media shown in his home world. Called themselves the 'Goat head pirates.' they actually had pretty decent strength by east blue standards but that was probably because of the fact the captain was a zoan type.

He destroyed them and took the captain's fruit.
'The east blue is seriously boring compared to the grand line.' he thought as he stored away his spoils.
It took Carter till the next morning to find his next target, he had found Clockwork island. The home of the card pirates, and the last few bounties to put him over the edge of one hundred million.

Captain: Bear King. 11,600,000 berri, Kachi Kachi no mi (hard hard fruit), allows the user to harden and heat up their body.

Pin Joker. 9,900,000 berri, rapier and poison user.
Honey Queen. 7,800,000 berri, Toro Toro no mi (liquid liquid fruit), allows the user to create control and become an unknown liquid with the consistency of syrup.
Skunk One. 6,000,000 berri, poison gas user.
Boo jack. 3,200,000 berri, spiked armor user.
Carter was here for a few reasons actually, not just for the bounties of the card pirates or to liberate an island, but he was also here for the 'king cannon' which bear king wanted to use to conquer the grand line and become king of the pirates, in reality it wasn't much but the cannon itself wasn't a bad weapon. He could combine the cannon with the Salamander for some extra firepower.
'Now that I think about it, Enel's flying ship the Maxim should already be on sky island. I'll steal that when I pay Enel a visit on my way back to marineford. Integrating the Salamander into it will give me a pretty sweet ride.' Carter thought. 'I'll use the black garnet to power it once I've recreated it too.'
He also wanted Honey Queen. Not for what you would think either, he wanted her to study. Her devil fruit was very strange, a logia that became a strange water-like liquid. For some reason she was also able to submerge herself in water without feeling fatigue. The fruit was worth studying and simply killing her and giving the fruit to someone to experiment on them wasn't worth the effort.
Smiling at the thought he almost didn't notice his haki picking up a few cannon balls flying at him.
"Incoming, starboard side." we warned his dragon.
Justice dodged and weaved between the cannonballs and roared towards the group of five ships that had the gaul to fire on her. Without even having Carter order her she began to return fire. Getting a better look he noticed that there was someone on the figurehead on the lead ship or more specifically in a hot tub embedded in the figure head.
Carter lept off justices back back and dove toward the lead ship. If he remembered correctly then Honey Queen should be on that ship.
Grabbing the main mast he slid down it while using his devil fruit to Decombine and destroy it on his way down. The deck creaked as he landed, looking around he found a total of 10 fodder pirates onboard along with Honey Queen.
Justice landed shortly after and began to attack the crew while Carter made his way to the hot tub at the front of the ship.
It was obvious to anyone who saw her that Justice was still pretty damn pissed so the sounds of pirates being burned, electrified, poisoned, encased in amber and just generally killed did not surprise him at all.
'Just remember to make an amber container Justice' he shot her a mental reminder of the plan.' She looked at him and gave a low growl in acknowledgement.
"Okay we seriously need to either get you a variant of the Hito Hito no mi, or get me a telepathy skill."
She gave a nod in reply before getting back to tormenting her playthings.
When I reached the ship's figurehead, (which doubled as a hot tub) I came face to face with my primary target. Honey Queen…
And she was completely nude.
'Damn! I forgot she was basically a nudist in the movie!' I thought as I focused my vision solely on her face. 'Seriously! Why!? She's a logia type. Her clothes will become liquid with her but she always casts them off before transforming!'
"So, this is Honey Queen of the card pirates huh?"
She seemed to not take Carter seriously just like every other pirate in this weak ass sea. "Yes, that's me. What can I do for you little marine?" she asked, sounding much too cocky for his taste.
"I'm here to offer you a deal, surrender now and I won't have to kick the shit out of you before capturing you and slaughtering your crew or don't surrender and I kick the shit out of you before capturing you and slaughtering your crew. Your choice."
"Ha! You knew who I was and still thought your coils harm me? I'm untouchable little marine." she said as she rose from her tub, exposing her rather 'ahem!' distracting body.
She approached Carter slowly while Carter continued to simply look at her face, which actually seemed to frustrate her a bit.
'What's wrong with this kid? He has a perfectly sexy woman like me in front of him and he doesn't even blush?'
"What's wrong? Are you shy about seeing my body, little marine?"
"No, I'm just wondering when you are going to notice. I cut the other ships in half." It was only then that she realised Carter had drawn his sword.
'What!? I was looking at him the whole time. How did he draw his sword without me noticing?' After her initial shock Carter's words finally registered in her head. 'T-there's no way right?"
She turned her head to the side to check on the rest of her little fleet's ships and her eyes widened in horror. Each and every other ship was slowly sinking into the sea. It was clear to see that they had been cut cleanly in half.
"I'm from the grand line by the way," Carter said, startling her out of her shock. "And on the grand line we have ways of bypassing the intangibility of logia types. I've already killed one and he had a bounty of 95 million,"
Carter quickly wrapped his hand in armament haki and dashed towards her. She tried to get away by turning liquid but when cater clamped his finger around her arm it re-solidified.
"So I once again ask" he smirked as the woman realized her position. "Surrender or not?"
"I-I surrender."
"Good choice."
A moment later justice landed on the deck next to Carter and dropped a head at his feet. To Honey queen's dread and Carter's delight it was the head of Boo Jack.
"Nicely done partner. Now, the container?"
Justice then spat a few globs of amber at the deck. She gave Carter a look as to say. 'Do it yourself.' and took back to the sky and flew over towards clockwork island.
Carter only chuckled and grabbed the now hardened amber. 'Rearrange," the material merged together and formed a medium sized bottle. "Well, get in" he said as he set the bottle down in front of Honey queen.
She complied cautiously by shifting into her liquid form and entering the bottle.
"Good, now it would be best if you took a little nap now, so…"
"Dark Static"
Before she could react, the honey queen was knocked unconscious as dark red electricity spring from Carter's hand into the bottle. This was the result of a whole lot of dedication to his synchronizing with the black garnet shard. A few sparks were all he could manage for now but it was getting better every day.
Carter then fused the bootle shut and placed it into his inventory. Time was basically stopped inside the system space so she would be fine.
Then he walked around the ship for a bit noticing that Justice's victims were all dead and their bodies were just going to go to waste. Carter decided to do some resource farming. Large crews like this were great for this purpose. He took out kubikiribocho and snapped the blade off at the base with haki, then prepared to regenerate the blade with the blood of the dead pirates. He repeated the process till nearly every drop of blood was drained from the ship before converting all the broken blades into chakra metal ingots and using geppo to finally go over to clockwork island.
…he also stole Honey queen's hot tub. What!? It's a hot tub!
Landing on Clockwork island, Carter had obtained his main objective and decided that the other worthless idiots on this island were not worth having the little back and forth banter before slaughter. So.
"Mayfly technique!"
He sank into the earth and raced around the island. He found Skunk one alone and made him a pincushion with wooden stakes.A sample of his paralysis gas was also taken for study.
Pin joker was found relaxing in the castle, without alerting him Carter bisected him with Shichiseiken, carter also noticed that he had no scar across his face which meant that Zoro had not encountered him yet.
Carter first created a fruit tree outside the throne room and simply walked into the place to fight Bear king. Bear king tried to bash in Carter's head with his hard-hard fruit but Carter caught his attack and turned him into a red stain.
Then he picked the newly reincarnated fruit from his tree, took the diamond clock because it was actually made of near PURE DIAMOND. Then he informed the island's residents they were free and left. He also used his devil fruit to make some no name look exactly like Honey Queen so he could claim her bounty.
