Chapter 17: Chapter 17 The arrival of Akaza
It was the weekend, and there were many people in the city. Therefore, the news that Lin Cheng, the owner of Seiji Martial Arts School, had kicked Fujimoto Martial Arts School, spread quickly.
The reputation of Fujimoto Martial Arts School, which had once been one of the pillars of Sakura Town, plummeted.
Previously, the school had been the first choice for anyone wanting to learn martial arts in Sakura Town. Now, the fact that it had been publicly defeated by the Seiji Martial Arts School made prospective students hesitant.
No one wanted to learn at a school that had been humiliated.
The Seiji Martial Arts School, on the other hand, saw an increase in enrollment. Despite its high tuition fees, Lin Cheng recruited 30 new students in just one month, thanks to its growing reputation.
This, combined with the profits from the medicinal diets he offered, ensured that both he and Mitsuri made a more than comfortable living.
Students at the Seiji School of Martial Arts also began to improve markedly under Lin Cheng's teachings and his special training regimen. Meanwhile, the students of the Fujimoto School of Martial Arts continued to lose ground, both in skill and morale.
Two months after Lin Cheng defeated Fujimoto Martial Arts School, the number of students from the rival school was reduced to less than half. The few that remained were there more out of inertia than loyalty, mainly because they could not afford the cost of the Seiji Martial Arts School.
At that time, Lin Cheng had turned his gym into the most prestigious place to learn martial arts in Sakura Town.
Takashi Nagase, who had once been the subject of ridicule and humiliation, now walked the streets with confidence, although his natural arrogance was still irritating to some.
"You think I'm going to bully you, Ichiro?" asked Takashi with a sardonic smile to a former rival from the Fujimoto Martial Arts School.
"I'm not interested in wasting my time with someone who's not worth it."
"It's like squashing a bug. It would just dirty my shoes."
Takashi had not only gained strength, but also an air of superiority that made it hard to bear.
Meanwhile, Lin Cheng watched everything with a calm smile. He had gotten what he wanted: more students, more income and, most importantly, a dominant position in the Sakura Town martial arts world.
......................................
The fall of Fujimoto Martial Arts School seemed inevitable, but no one expected it to come to such a tragic end. At dawn, Sakura Town awoke to the news that the entire staff of the dojo had been brutally murdered during the night.
Lin Cheng, owner of the now thriving Seiji Martial Arts School, was called to the scene as a suspect due to his recent conflicts with the dojo. Although local authorities knew he had no need to resort to such methods, his strength and reputation placed him among the few possible perpetrators.
The mayor of Sakura Town, a pragmatic man and a connoisseur of demon legends, met with Lin Cheng at the destroyed dojo. The place was shrouded in an air of terror: torn bodies lay all over the hall, with clear signs of superhuman strength.
Among the dead were the school's head teacher and Watanabe Yuu , whose body was left split into two grotesquely separate parts, leaving traces of his final attempt to escape.
"Mr. Lin Cheng," the mayor said grimly. "We know this is beyond ordinary human capabilities. We suspect a demon has been responsible for this. Although there are no signs of bite marks, the level of brutality is inhuman".
Lin Cheng moves forward slowly, his expression was more serious than usual.
"I'll look into it," he said firmly, though he already had a suspect in mind: Akaza, the Third Highest Rank of the Twelve Kizuki.
Akaza was known for his obsession with the strong, particularly martial artists. His appearance in Sakura Town was no coincidence, and the destruction of the dojo was a clear message: he would soon seek out Lin Cheng.
Lin Cheng returned to his dojo quietly, but his mind was busy. He was aware that Akaza would soon show up at his door.
As soon as he arrived, Kanroji Mitsuri ran up to him.
"Mr. Lin Cheng!" she exclaimed, worried. "I heard that everyone at Fujimoto Martial Arts School has died, is everything all right?"
Lin Cheng looked at the young woman with a faint smile. Although Mitsuri had come a long way under his tutelage, taking on a demon like Akaza was beyond her capabilities.
"It's all right, Mitsuri. But tonight you must return to your parents," he said calmly.
"No!" Mitsuri looked at him with tears in her eyes. "I am your fiancée. I will be with you, no matter what."
Although normally obedient, this time Mitsuri refused to follow his orders. She felt that what Lin Cheng would face was far more dangerous than any previous challenge.
Lin Cheng became suspicious. "Can't you trust me to protect you?" he said as he stroked her hair gently. Before Mitsuri could answer, Lin Cheng used a special pressure point, temporarily knocking her unconscious.
"I'm sorry, Mitsuri," he murmured, placing her in a safe room inside the dojo. He knew that, even unconscious, Mitsuri would wake up before dawn due to her unique physical constitution.
With her safe, Lin Cheng began to prepare the dojo for the confrontation. He knew he could not defeat Akaza head-on, but he planned to use his surroundings and his cunning to even the odds.

Please support me on patreon. It's from chapter 14 onwards.
A big favor to everyone, I just published my novel on this same page, but you can find it on another account, the name of the novel is Virtual Reality: Fighting with avatars in another world.
It would be a great help from you, and if all goes well, I will publish the entire battle of Akaza against Ling Cheng this day or tomorrow, hehe.
I'll tell you about the theme of my novel. So far I've only published 5 chapters, but I plan to do it every day.
The theme is a game. Well, at first it's slow, but then the main character will bring humans from Earth to his world, so that they can help him with the enemies that suddenly invaded it.
This type of novel is a bit complex to write because of the different points of view of the main characters. Well, right now it's not because it's at the beginning of the story, but later on it will be.
So... please support me with my original novel. As an incentive, I'll be posting the full fight between Akaza and the protagonist, two chapters per day, until Sunday.
