Amid the dust and debris, a figure began to rise.
Knock, knock, knock.
Akaza's footsteps echoed as he emerged from the smoke, his body now fully regenerated. His face, which had been shattered moments before, was now intact, as if it had never taken a blow.
Akaza rang out as he turned his neck, producing cracking sounds that broke the silence of the night.
"I didn't expect to find someone as interesting as you in this place".
Lin Cheng remained silent, observing the demon with an icy calm.
"Did you fully recover from that blow?" asked Lin Cheng, almost in a whisper.
Akaza ran a hand over his face, even more excited.
"Yes! You're different, much more interesting than the usual weaklings, this will be fun!".
Lin Cheng was no ordinary person.
The power that resided within him came not only from his physical strength, but also from the combat experience he carried with him. His presence was overwhelming, and the way he used techniques was flawless, as if he was born for battle.
A moment ago, he had used the dead force technique, a move that channeled the flow of enemy power to return it amplified. This technique, though complex, to Lin Cheng was like child's play.
Akaza noticed it. In the first exchange, they had been evenly matched, but in the second, Ling Chen had come out slightly better off thanks to that skill. However, the golden-eyed demon didn't seem worried; he was just testing his opponent's strength.
"That's exciting, it's been so long since I've encountered a human as interesting as you!" exclaimed Akaza as he stretched his arms out with a wide grin. "And to think that you only use your naked body and those hands to face me!"
Lin Cheng did not respond to the words. His gaze remained fixed on his opponent, cold as steel, though a slight curve to his lips hinted that he enjoyed the challenge.
The battle continued.
Akaza, no longer holding back, launched a charged blow with full force. The wind it produced caused the dry leaves and dust on the ground to rise up in whirlwinds. The fist, cutting through the air like a guillotine, seemed unstoppable.
However, Lin Cheng did not back down. In one fluid motion, he slid to the side, using his left arm to redirect the blow with surgical precision. At the same time, his right hand tensed and launched a counter punch straight at Akaza's abdomen.
Boom!
The impact echoed through the night like a dull thunderclap. Akaza was sent flying, crashing into the rubble of the wall that had collapsed earlier.
Lin Cheng slowly brought his fist down, not losing his composure. The dust and stone fragments began to settle, revealing the pink-haired demon rising to his feet once more.
"Not bad, human" Akaza said as he shook the debris from his shoulders. Although his face had been disfigured by the impact, it had already completely regenerated in a matter of seconds.
The demon flashed a wide grin, his eyes shining with a mixture of respect and excitement.
"But if you think this is all I have, you're sorely mistaken".
Without waiting for a response, Akaza lunged towards Lin Cheng again, this time with such overwhelming speed that it could barely be perceived. The two collided in midair, their movements barely visible in a whirlwind of blows and counter blows.
"Come on, human, show me more of your strength!" exclaimed Akaza with a chuckle. Each blow seemed to fuel his enthusiasm for the fight even more.
Lin Cheng, though still silent, seemed to accept the challenge. His body moved like a perfectly calibrated machine, each movement fluid, each blow calculated with lethal precision.
The ground beneath them began to crack even more with each impact, and the surroundings echoed with the echo of their battle. Although neither seemed to be giving ground, both knew that the real combat had only just begun.
"Interesting... very interesting," Lin Cheng muttered in a low voice.
Akaza let out a laugh. "That's the way I like it, human! Make it worth your while to completely tear you apart!".
With those words, the two combatants launched themselves at each other again, like unstoppable forces destined to collide.
