Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

"Keith!" Layla shouted as she watched Keith handle the front lines of the funnel. Keith was barely blocking every bullet fired by the [People of Earth] members with his weapon. He knew that a firing squad is impossible to deal with when playing defensively, so with a [Time Spirit] out, he managed to pretty much handle things easily. The funnel strategy used allowed them to fight the [People of Earth] members by flanking them straight off the bat. Since he was the one facing the bullet storm, Layla looked a bit concerned as she watched him fight off everything while the other Sentinels start to eliminate the enemies from their flanks in a hit-and-run strategy.

After having dealt with the rest of the members, Keith noticed a figure slip into the walls of the town. He felt a bad premonition as he received communication from HQ. "Keith, Draxus has been separated from the [Core] group, so Lily and Julie will be heading towards the northern gate. Can you cover their escape?" Keith looked around and thought that they won't have much problems handling the rest of the waves. "How many [People of Earth] waves left?" Keith wanted to confirm the situation as he didn't want to put his friends in danger. "Only one group is preparing, they're heading towards the northern gate." "Right where they are huh? Alright." Keith looked back to the southern gate as he gave orders to Layla. "Layla, can you cover for me on the southern gate? I'll go check the northern gate for a bit." "Got it, be careful alright?" Keith smiled as he hugged her for a moment before leaving the area.

After a few moments, he arrived to the northern gate where he found a full platoon with seemingly three people in command. As he had the [Vision Spirit] watch over the area, he saw the figure that slipped into the walls going towards the [People of Earth] group. "What about the other gates..." Keith had the visionary spirit watch around the other gates, and noticed that they're mostly on a standoff since the Sentinels are merely on standby until the enemies go up or attack them. "Now I guess it's those that will be a problem on the northern gate. With Viceroy covering the western gate and Maria covering the eastern one, he was relieved to let Layla handle the southern gate and go straight for the enemy's core group.

"Florence, did you get everything prepared?" Lawrence, the leader of [People of Earth] arrived just on the inner side of the northern gate of the town. "Brother, yes I do have everything ready." Lawrence nodded as he listened to his brother's information. "Alright, Ronan, Henry, prepare yourselves as well." The two other members of [People of Earth] nodded, just as Lawrence was about to start his speech for his group, Keith landed in the middle with a shockwave, knocking everyone away.

Keith didn't hesitate as he started swinging around his chain and sickle. He quickly eliminated the army from the center while they were shocked as he didn't want to waste time fighting against them. With the [Time Spirit] accelerating his body, and [Vision Spirit] allowing him to predict their dodges, he was able to make short work of the army, instantly getting rid of the majority. "I didn't think you'd be the one that I have to fight against, but you've been planning something have you? Lawrence." Lawrence clicked his tongue as he knew that Keith not being present in the [Core] group was a major problem to his plans. "Florence, Ronan, Henry, you need to be careful against that kid, he's one of the harder enemies in the Sentinels." "What about your brother?" "I'll handle the escaping royalty." Florence, Ronan, and Henry faced Keith and prepared their weapons. 

"Mostly swords huh...?" Keith was unsure on how to approach the battle, since he has not seen the abilities of the three new opponents. However, seeing as Florence and Lawrence are related, he had to instantly play defensively. "Fire!" Florence issued an order to the members who are still alive, they began firing down Keith on a concave. Keith swung around his weapon, deflecting bullets and waiting until they reload. But just as the volley of bullets ended to reload, another one had started. "Shit, they're well coordinated huh?" Keith waited for the small gap in between firing and reload switch tactics by the enemy and stopped time in that moment. Just as he started to move away from the storm of bullets, Henry moved in close to Keith who was shocked as he moved in stopped time.

Keith dashed backward, knowing that he is already in a horrible position and kept his distance between Henry and himself. As time started to flow again, Henry slid down to avoid the next bullet storm. Keith pulled back his weapon as he brought out a pistol and fired down at Henry. The bullets were blocked as Henry slashed up at Keith, giving him an open cut at his shin. Keith made use of a [Space Spirit] to warp himself out of the horrible position. "Guah!" He appeared behind Florence and kicked him off the stage where he was giving a speech. Ronan reacted late, and tried to retaliate. 

Keith blocked the sword with the chain and deftly swung the chain ball down, hitting Ronan from behind as Keith moved to the side to avoid collision. After some time he swiftly moved around the area to get rid of the rest of the platoon.

"Lily! We have someone ahead of us." "Huh?! That's unlucky..." Lily clicked her tongue in frustration as they were escaping towards the north gate. Lawrence appeared with two of his swords which were emanating powerful energy. "Those swords look dangerous..." Lilianna stood back and had her sword ready, Julianna followed along as the two of them prepare for battle. "To my surprise, I never thought I'd be the one that deals with the [Prime]'s hearts." After hearing what Lawrence had to say, Lilianna finally realized who their opponent is. "Lawrence... The current leader of [People of Earth] huh?" Lilianna was annoyed, as Lawrence is a powerful threat comparable to the current apostles that Draxus is fighting against. "Lily... What do we do...?" Julianna was nervous, but she was determined to get through with her family. "We have to fight perfectly, it will be difficult to break through that man." Lilianna looked around while having her weapon ready, checking to see if they have good positions somewhere or possible enemies hiding around. "Doesn't feel like he has anyone else here..." Lilianna thought to herself as she rushed forward to make her attack. Lawrence raised one of his sword which emanated dark blue energy. Dark blue orbs materialized beside him along with a bluish tornado in front of Lilianna, forcing her to step back immediately. In that moment, Julianna approached in from the side. Lawrence launched the dark blue orbs which Julianna slashed with her sword. However, as she looked at her sword, it started to crack and show signs of damage to the blade. "Wha-!?" Julianna was shocked as she was now in a position where she could lose her weapon. "Lily, his attacks can break our weapons!" As she shouted, Julianna hid her sword and brought out a standard sword. Lilianna did the same as she dashed to the side to avoid the small tornado.

The two of them continued their fight as the King and the Queen watched in both awe and worry.
