Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

Serkyrio and his group had arrived to the capital of Quisterion. Oswald welcomed them with a smile as he brought them to a lively town. The townspeople who saw the prince in the carriage cheered on his return to the capital safely. Due to the noise, Draxus who was asleep in the carriage got woken up. Olivia who was sitting next to him was laughing lightly as he opened his eyes. "Guhh... Dahell is happenin...?" Remuel felt indifferent while watching the crowds that are giving way to the carriages. Arlesk was talking with Ulysses about the town while Serkyrio was talking to Oswald who is welcoming them.

The carriages continued to move forward without even needing the identification of the other people. Seeing the prince, the guardsmen understood to allow them to pass. "Being welcomed grandly feels pretty nice eh?" Remuel let out his thoughts which Arlesk noticed immediately. "What? I never thought somebody like Remuel wants to stand out." Remuel didn't pay Arlesk's remark any mind and simply allowed his mind to wander. After some time, they arrived in front of some drawbridge which leads to the castle. They had entered a royal palace for the first time in their lives. Draxus felt a chill crawl up his spine which made him look around warily. Serkyrio who noticed that immediately asked Draxus about it. "What's up?" Draxus calmed down and replied to Serkyrio in a chilled tone. "I felt like somebody is out to get me..." Serkyrio simply smiled while Olivia who overheard that laughed lightly. Arlesk who noticed Draxus like that grinned a little bit which gave more bad premonition to Draxus. "Draxus, we're in royal grounds, behavior." Serkyrio gave an order to Draxus who was slightly having internal panic. Draxus immediately fixed himself and shrugged off the chills on his chest. The carriages had stopped just right at the entrance of the castle after the drawbridge. Oswald was the first one to come out of their carriage and was immediately greeted by the nobles that are coming to the castle. He returned their greetings and faced Serkyrio and the others. He then explained to them various things before the audience of the king. "First things first, those clothes won't do but I don't think father would say anything about it. But Draxus, you have disheveled hair, so Olivia, bring him to your room. Add some makeup if needed since he has baggy eyes." Draxus who heard Oswald's words became completely surprised. "Eh?" He let out a stupid voice while his hand gets pulled by Olivia who was smiling, to the castle interior. "Ehhh?!!!" That was the last thing that was heard from Draxus for the time being. Oswald turned his gaze to Serkyrio, Arlesk, and Remuel who was putting back his phone into his pocket. "Remuel?" Oswald asked, Remuel smiled and responded with a light laugh. "Ah, don't worry, I just took a picture of him being pulled by Olivia-hime. It's gonna be good material for future meetings within the four of us." Oswald who heard Remuel's explanation went "I see..." then notified the three. "We'll give you a tour first, since the king also has to prepare to receive the visitors. After that, you guys will be moved to the waiting room. Draxus will be meeting you there later. Will all four of you represent your group?" Serkyrio immediately answered positively to that which made Oswald scratch his head. "Very well, then we need miss Begona as well to represent the other group?" Begona, as if she heard her name being called appeared right in front of them. "Of course, what about the rest of the members though?" It didn't really surprise any of them aside from Oswald but he continued on his discussion. "They're free to stay in the castle but it might turn into an inconvenience if all four hundred are to remain here." Begona pondered for a bit before answering. "Very well, all of us would like to explore various things now that we're in the new world anyway. I'm sure that we would disperse all around the capital after the hearing. There is a tiny problem with the money though." Begona looked around with a snicker that wasn't visible to the other four. "Very well, each member would be given five gold coins as starting money. Please use it well once you have received it." Begona showed a radiant smile while Serkyrio gave her a scornful gaze. Arlesk who is still unaccustomed to the currency asked Oswald if it will be alright. "Uhh Prince Oswald, pretty sure two thousand gold coins is a little too much don't you think?" Oswald shook his head slowly while replying calmly. "To us it's only twenty platinum coins, it's not that big of a price since we're also the ones that summoned you guys here in the first place." Serkyrio who heard that loud and clear, immediately asked Oswald about it. "Prince Oswald, this may be too much to ask but can we investigate and research on the magic that you guys used?" Oswald was surprised that Serkyrio asked him for something. He had a clear impression of Serkyrio that has an image of [I have everything I need, so I don't have to worry about anything else]. "Very well... I'll ask the royal magicians to allow your group as they please to research it." Serkyrio smiled and gave Remuel a reminder. "Remuel, take Harold with you later so you two can begin the research." Remuel smiled and nodded in response. "Alright, then Ulysses, can you handle the tour for them, I have to go see my father." Oswald called Ulysses over to guide them, Celestine found her parents so she had left the group. After about an hour of walking, Serkyrio, Remuel, Arlesk, and Begona had explored all over the castle aside from the secret rooms. They were then brought to the waiting room where Draxus was waiting with dead fish eyes. "The hell happened to you?" Remuel asked in reflex as he instantly saw that kind of sight from Draxus. Olivia had left the room earlier in order to meet the king which is her father. Draxus looked up to the sky on the window while giving a low mutter. "Makeup... Is scary..." Arlesk who heard that laughed a little because if Draxus didn't have dead fish eyes, he would have an aura of a prince in a kingdom of ice. Right next to him, is a giant crystal weapon that was designed similarly to a certain claymore in Genshin. Serkyrio made a retort while facepalming because of Draxus who had been bored while waiting created some weapon samples that he'll use in the future. "[Song of Broken Wallets]?" Draxus who heard the joke instantly recovered and made a retort. "Don't, I've heard too much of that joke already about me whaling in Genshin." Begona started talking to the maids about the upcoming affairs and the current royal family.

After some time waiting, a maid came to notify them that the king is waiting for them. The five people that are waiting fixed their clothes one last time and went towards the throne room. As they opened the door, they were greeted by a wide room and a red carpet that was surrounded by high class people. Some of them are bigshot nobles and viscount Zeraphim was among them. The daughters of many nobles started getting a little noisy as Serkyrio, Arlesk, Remuel, and Draxus walk forward with a serious look. Some voices could be heard going [Kya!! Kya!!] while some of the young female nobles could only stare at the four while going [Pohee~] as if struck by charm. The five of them including Begona kept walking forward until the presence of the royal family. They lined up at the end of the carpet and bowed a little while moving their right hand over their chest. They kept that position until the king told them to raised their heads. The king sat on the throne with his overwhelming presence and calm disposition. His clothes had a somewhat gaudy royal color while having a large robe and a scepter on his arm. The crown rests on his head as if to show that he really is the king. Beside him on his left was the queen who was wearing a nice dress with a nice crown on her head. Olivia who is introduced as the second princess of the Quisterion kingdom. On the right of the king was the prime minister who is behind him and then prince Oswald. After him was the country's hero Ulysses Held. The hall was still pretty noisy even after the group had raised their heads. Olivia's gaze connected with Draxus who seems captive and gave a smile. She was wearing a beautiful white dress with her hair tied down to braids to the front. Draxus who received Olivia's radiant smile blinked once and returned a deeper smile. Needless to say, many people who saw that interaction clicked their tongues male and female alike. The king who heard many tongue clicks raised his hand and turned his gaze around the area, as if to silence them.

"We welcome you, people of another world. I am Oscar Ferrous Quisterion, may I wish to know of your names?" Each one of them introduced themselves in a polite manner, befitting for the ears of even royalty. "I am named as Serkyrio Kaiser, one of the representatives of the [People of Earth] that your country has summoned." Serkyrio bowed lightly once again and raised his head immediately. Following him was Arlesk. "My name is Arlesk Finlay, a disciple, and close aide of Serkyrio Kaiser." Remuel who was after Arlesk, "I am Remuel Baphomet, a disciple, and researcher of Serkyrio Kaiser." And then Draxus. "I, Draxus Heimdal, am a disciple, and a sentinel of Serkyrio Kaiser." Begona who was the last one to introduce herself followed after Draxus. "I am called Begona Wallowhart, a second representative of the [People of Earth] group." The king nodded and the prime minister spoke out this time. "We, the people of Quisterion are grateful for accepting our invitation. As the representatives and his disciples have come, we offer you freedom to do as you'd like, and to explore a world that is different than yours." The five of them continued to listen to the prime minister who was explaining some things that are occurring as of the moment. "A year ago, a war had ended between our Quisterion kingdom and the Kitrixia empire. We do not wish for you to become destruction but to become the peace and intermediate between us two countries for the betterment of both." Arlesk and Draxus immediately twitched their eyebrows to the request. Remuel looked indifferent while Serkyrio looked over in suspicion. "Is that how it is? Very well, I will accept the request." The prime minister was shocked to the words that came out from Serkyrio. A smile floated on the face of the royalties which made them feel relieved as peace will finally come. "I have a condition though."

Those sudden words that came from Serkyrio's mouth somewhat angered the surrounding nobles. Some words came out like: "An attitude like that to the king?" and "Is he insane? To ask something directly from the king?" were audible to some extent. They were all shunned by the king as he raised his hand up to his head. "Very well, what is the request?" Serkyrio showed a smile and immediately gave his answer. "This world's history."
