Chapter 58 - II
“Isn’t it you, who think I’m stepping on Huan’er’s way? That’s why you threw Yule’s finger into Jing Xingzhi’s yard!” Cheng Wei thought about it carefully, and only Xu Zhongqi knew that Jing Xingzhi was coming over.
But what kind of temperament did Cheng Huan have? He didn’t like to do serious business and just to idle around all day long. Letting him entered any of the six divisions in the government office would only serve to add to the burden of the sixth divisions.
Xu Zhongqi saw that his expression was becoming more determined, and she covered her face and cried: “What do you mean? It makes me so chilled! If I had known, I might as well have been with my child who died young. Let’s just die together!”
Xu Zhongqi said, preparing to throw herself at the stone pillars of the flower hall.
Cheng Wei, with quick eyesight and quick hands, pulled the person back first.
He looked at Xu Zhongqi’s sad expression, and his heart softened again, wondering if he had guessed wrong… Otherwise, why would Xu Zhongqi not feel guilty at all, and still cry like this?
Cheng Wei sighed and punched the table in the middle of the flower hall angrily.
There was a ‘bang’ and the noise was so loud that the servants waiting outside were frightened.
When Cheng Huan saw this scene, he walked out with a pale face.
.
Cheng Huan originally wanted to go back to his own yard, but when passing his yard, he would definitely have to pass by his eldest brother Cheng Yule’s yard.
Jing Xingzhi led the black dog that was sniffing around. When he saw Cheng Huan walking in a hurry, he stood still and called him: “Cheng Huan.”
Cheng Huan turned sideways and saw him, raised his eyebrows and called out: “Uncle Jing.” He added, “I don’t feel very well. I’m going back to my room first.”
After saying that, he turned around and walked quickly to his yard.
Jing Xingzhi led the black dog, followed by two agents from the government office.
He asked the two of them: “How is the relationship between the little young master and the eldest young master?”
The two detectives were both old men in the government office. They knew the rules. The black dog had been trained and would not bite, so he let Jing Xingzhi took it.
One of them said: “The eldest young master was born to the former wife. He has a normal relationship with the little young master and the madam. Even the eldest young master doesn’t like the master very much. He just likes to go to brothels.”
Jing Xingzhi added: “Have the investigators come? The eldest young master is dead and someone chopped off his fingers. Isn’t this a big thing?”
One of the men shook his head with a grimace: “Only us went out to handle the case and have to wait until tomorrow to come back. But there was no movement at the time of the accident, which is the strangest thing.”
Jing Xingzhi saw the large courtyard near them and said, “you said this dog can smell blood, but the government searched all over and only found one in my yard. Where did the other pieces go? The motive of dismembering the body is much worse than killing. It should be because of great jealousy of the deceased.”
Jing Xingzhi started talking to them and attached his spiritual energy to his eyes and scanned the government office for signs of evil and blood.
No matter why or what the reason was, Jing Xingzhi was innocently dragged into trouble by the murderer. If the murderer wanted to drag him into the water, he wanted to see if the murderer’s hands were strong enough to chop him.
He remembered the two courtyards that were scattered with blood, and distinguished the places where the blood was concentrated. Then Jing Xingzhi pretended to pull the dog in for another sniff, and then patted the dog’s butt, poured spiritual energy into the dog’s brain.
With such a touch of spiritual energy, if Jing Xing shook the rope to the east, the dog would run to the east; if he pulled to the west, the dog would run to the west. Orders and prohibitions were not considered, but the obedience was perfect.
Seeing the dog running out, Jing Xingzhi caught up and said, “This dog seems to have smelled something else? Look at it…”
The dog flicked his tongue and ran to the front of the main courtyard in a hurry. In the main courtyard barked twice.
In the past, this dog would have been beaten to death. What kind of place was the main courtyard, how could animals be allowed to mess around?
But when they saw Jing Xingzhi, the detectives, and others following behind the dog, the maids were so frightened that they turned pale and stopped them while going inside to report the news.
.
In the main courtyard.
Cheng Wei was not there, he might be turned back to Cheng Yule’s yard, just missing Jing Xingzhi and others.
Xu Zhongqi was the only one in the main courtyard. When the maid said that a black dog had come to her door, Xu Zhongqi’s first reaction was that it was impossible. She had clearly tried to cover things with the powder she bought secretly at a high price, so she could hide it from that silly dog!
The second reaction – that dog was going to ruin her business and it was best to deal with it.
Xu Zhongqi bit his lower lip and went into the house alone on the pretext of changing his coat. She opened a layer of the dressing box and smeared the dog-luring stuff inside onto her calves.
After doing this, Xu Zhongqi left the room with a cold face and took the maids to let people into the main courtyard.
As soon as Xu Zhongqi appeared, the dog immediately barked at Xu Zhongqi, and Jing Xingzhi almost couldn’t hold it back.
Xu Zhongqi felt happy when she saw the mad dog rushing towards her.
When the dog was disobedient, how could Jing Xingzhi not know that there was a trick!
He raised his foot and gently kicked the dog’s butt, and pulled the dog hard: “Come back!”
