Chapter 16: A nice night
"You have everything you need, right?"
"Yes, Mom. Don't worry, Akio is with me, nothing will happen. You know I'm not the only one I have to worry about, hehe." Rena had said while delicately touching her belly which gave signs of having grown slightly, causing Shizune to have a warm look as well as a smile as she continued to say goodbye to her beloved daughter.
A few weeks had passed since that little celebration and the plan for Akio and Rena to have a little trip arose, and at this moment you could see how they were right at the train stop that would help them reach their destination while Shizune was accompanied by Kurono and kept making sure that her daughter didn't forget anything.
"Don't worry, Mother. I gave myself the task of preparing plans for any unforeseen event." Akio knew that he had to intervene since the voice from the station was heard announcing that their train was about to arrive.
"Yes, Mom. You've already checked my suitcase like five times, everything will be fine... The train is about to arrive, so Akio and I will be leaving."
"I... Okay, but I'm serious, be very careful, but above all... Have a lot of fun." Shizune accepted that she was exaggerating a bit at that moment, but if she didn't, she wouldn't feel comfortable with herself.
"Trust me, we will, haha… And, by the way, Kurono-san."
"Yes?" Kurono had been silently watching the moving farewell and it seemed that they finally realized his presence.
"I'll leave Mom in your care, make sure she enjoys these days off."
"You can go safely, Shizune-chan is in good hands." Just hearing that Shizune had returned to having an embarrassed expression on her face. She still remembered the moment when the idea of spending these days alone with Kurono came up, and she was just as nervous as before.
Rena and Akio said several more words of farewell as they entered the station, both Shizune and Kurono waited until they could no longer see their figure, as well as the train, moving away, and noticing that they had finally been left alone.
"And... I guess it's our turn to go on our way, don't you think so?"
"Y-Yes, I will be in your care these next few days, Kurono-kun." Kurono gave a simple laugh when he noticed Shizune's nervousness, but he only took her hand gently and then took her with him to his car where Shizune had already prepared everything that she would need.
…
…
The way back wasn't too long, Shizune could tell that Kurono's house wasn't too far from the apartment where she lived, but she already knew because Kurono had mentioned it in the past.
Something that could be said is that both Kurono and Shizune had gotten closer as a couple, it was not strange that at every opportunity they had, they got together to spend time together or simply Shizune invited Kurono to dinner just as Kurono gave himself the task of asking her out on little dates not as extravagant as the first one they went on.
Although the idea of spending these days alone was somewhat sudden, neither of them could deny that they felt somewhat excited about it. Shizune really couldn't feel happier these past few days, there was always a smile on her face and both Rena and Akio realized that this was because of Kurono.
The short time they had been in this new relationship had been wonderful for both of them, they already knew each other well enough, but they understood that there were many new things and they discovered them as the days went by.
Going back to the present, Kurono had accompanied Shizune to the door of his house at the same time that she kept her attention on the structure that was in front of it. Shizune had strange thoughts about the place where Kurono would live, she thought it would be a huge house or something like that, but once she saw it and entered it, there was only one idea in her mind and it didn't take her long to express it.
"And what do you think, Shizune-chan?"
"It's... Quite cozy." The image of the place had reached Shizune, the house was not exaggerated at all, it seemed to be a typical ordinary house in which a normal family could live. You could see the living room as soon as you entered in addition to the kitchen and the stairs that probably led to the second floor.
"Haha, I guess you can call it that. I live here by myself, so the space is more than enough for me. I'll take your luggage upstairs, but did I want to ask you a question before that?"
"What is it, Kurono-kun?"
"Well… I prepared the guest room for you, but how about you sleep with me in my room?"
"Eh?... Eehhh?!" The surprise besides Shizune's totally red face was the first thing Kurono saw after asking that question. He knew that this would very possibly be Shizune's reaction, but he didn't see anything wrong in trying to ask the question also because they were already a couple. Kurono thought that in the end, it had been too much for Shizune, but the words that came out of her a few moments later were enough for Kurono to also feel a little embarrassed. "I-I'm sorry, Kurono-kun, it's just that I was surprised, but... I really wouldn't mind, no, rather, I want to spend tonight with you, Kurono-kun."
Also realizing what she just said, Shizune had that blush all over her face again as she tried to explain what she really meant.
...
…
Shizune had been waiting in the living room while Kurono took her things upstairs. She was looking around the place looking at some pictures, there weren't too many, but there were enough to catch her attention.
"Kurono-kun looked so cute when he was a kid, hehe."
"Looks like you couldn't control your curiosity."
"Ah, s-sorry, Kurono-kun."
"Haha, don't worry about it, you can investigate as much as you like, but it's already a little late, would you like some dinner?"
"That would be fine, just tell me where all the things are and I'll make you something delicious." Shizune was about to move towards the kitchen to start her own battle, but she felt Kurono take her hand before.
"I can't let you do that."
"Huh, why not?"
"You are now my guest, Shizune-chan, and as such, it is my turn to take care of serving you properly, so rest a bit and let me prepare something for you this time."
"But it is not necessary…"
"No, of course, it is. You've already let me taste your food, I'd also like to prepare something for you myself, and I won't take no for an answer." Without being able to say anything else after that, Shizune had to desist from her attempts to persuade Kurono and accept his request.
Kurono had advanced that time to the kitchen and got to work, Shizune had actually followed him and remained in the kitchen visualizing Kurono's figure while the ingredients seemed to dance in his hands, the pleasant smells did not take long to reach her and, just with them, she could tell that the food would be delicious.
Kurono didn't take too long to prepare everything, it was a typical Japanese-style dinner with varied dishes but enough for two people, both he and Shizune began to taste everything at the same time, and the praise didn't take long to come out of her, making Kurono have a proud look on his face.
The talk between them was present throughout the dinner, sharing laughter and jokes from time to time, but also generating that unique feeling between them that showed that they were now in a relationship.
Once they finished dinner and took care of cleaning everything, Kurono told Shizune that if she wanted to see a movie since it was a little early to go to bed, to which Shizune fully agreed. The night was already special for both of them, they were sharing time alone with the person who made them incredibly happy at that moment, many feelings were within them as the night continued and they continued to enjoy that moment.
…
The movie had ended, and the credits filled the TV screen in the room, but it seemed that the people who were enjoying it were not paying any attention to it as they were busy with something more important.
A few simple sounds were heard in the room, the somewhat ragged breathing and the warm aura of the moment were what was present at the moment that both Kurono and Shizune were sharing that scene where their lips did not want to part for the world. There was nothing that prevented them, they just wanted to continue feeling the love that each one was expressing and that was noticeable as they sought to get closer to the other.
The moon had already risen outside, a simple silence was in the air, and although they didn't know it, the night was far from over.
