Joining the Joyful Union Sect, My Life in the Grip of My Senior Sister

Chapter 275: A Gift of First Impressions

Chapter 275: A Gift of First Impressions

The woman before them was dressed in a striking red and white battle outfit that perfectly accentuated her already fiery and captivating figure, making it hard for anyone to look away.

Her features bore some resemblance to Jun Yunshang, but where Jun Yunshang’s beauty was delicate and enchanting, this woman exuded a more majestic, regal, and cold elegance. Her fiery red hair was tied back in a sleek ponytail, giving her an even more decisive and polished appearance.

Although she couldn’t match Jun Yunshang’s breathtaking beauty, her icy, noble demeanor and striking features made her a rare and exceptional beauty in her own right.

She seemed utterly accustomed to being the center of attention, as if she was born to be the focus of everyone around her.

Leading a towering fire-red beast, she slowly walked toward Lin Fengmian and the others.

The beast resembled a lion, but had wings sprouting from its back and a single horn on its head. Its tusks jutted outward, giving it a fierce and intimidating appearance.

Its fur was a solid red without a single flaw, and the aura of fire-based spiritual power that radiated from it was overwhelming. Its massive frame moved like a mountain, exuding an oppressive force that made it impossible to ignore.

“That’s a Unity Realm Lion Roar Beast. Quite impressive,” Luo Xue couldn’t help but say in admiration.

The burly man who had been standing guard immediately saluted when he saw her approach.

“Princess Fengya,” he greeted.

“Zhong Han, thank you for your hard work. You may step down now,” the woman said, lightly waving her hand.

Jun Yunshang’s eyes widened in surprise as she recognized the newcomer. “Sister Fengya, what are you doing here?”

The woman was none other than Jun Yunshang’s elder sister, Jun Fengya, the ninth princess of the Junyan Empire.

Jun Fengya’s gaze dropped to the hand resting on Jun Yunshang’s waist, and she teased, “What is this? Little Yunshang has found herself a sweetheart and doesn’t want to see her sister anymore?”

Jun Yunshang’s face flushed a deep red as she subtly shifted to the side, trying to distance herself from Lin Fengmian’s hand.

“No, no! Sister Fengya, I was just wondering when you were heading out,” she quickly explained.

Jun Fengya laughed softly, “I just stayed behind to see what kind of man my little sister has found for herself. I couldn’t resist.”

Jun Yunshang shot a quick worried glance at Lin Fengmian before she hastily explained, “Sister, you’re mistaken. Young Master Ye and I are nothing like that.”

Jun Fengya raised an eyebrow at her younger sister’s explanation, her lips curling into a teasing smile as she turned to Lin Fengmian. “So this is the man who caught my little sister’s attention? What luck Little Yunshang has… picking up such a rare gem while out on her travels.”

Slightly taken aback, Lin Fengmian now found himself unexpectedly branded as the number one genius of the Northern Abyss. “The number one genius, huh?” he mused. “It seems that I’m not the only one with such talents in this world.”

Jun Fengya smiled knowingly at Lin Fengmian. “You must be the legendary Ye Xuefeng, the number one prodigy of the Northern Abyss, right? It’s an honor to meet you. I am Jun Fengya, the ninth princess of the Junyan Empire.”

Lin Fengmian gave a nonchalant response with a slight raise of his eyebrows. “Princess Fengya, are you here to stop me?”

Jun Fengya lightly chuckled, sensing his wariness. “What if I am?”

“Then I’ll be happy to wait,” Lin Fengmian replied with calm indifference. “But I would like to settle down in the city and have a good rest first.”

“You are quite proud, Young Master Ye,” Jun Fengya remarked with a smile. “But right now, I have no intention of being your enemy. I’m just here to introduce myself.”

“Is that so?” Lin Fengmian said, his tone still cool. “In that case, step aside.”

Jun Fengya, however, remained unfazed, still smiling. “I have a mansion in town where you and Little Yunshang can stay. I’d like to talk to my sister a little more.”

Lin Fengmian furrowed his brow. Do you two have such a close relationship?

He glanced at Jun Yunshang, who looked back at him with a hint of pleading in her eyes, unsure of what to do.

After having spent some time with her, Lin Fengmian quickly understood.

It turned out that they were surface-level sisters. In that case, there’s nothing to worry about.

With a cold expression on his face, he said, “No need. Just step aside.”

Jun Fengya continued to smile. “Young master, why do you reject me so harshly? I really have no bad intentions.”

“I have no favorable feelings toward you,” Lin Fengmian coldly replied, “Step aside.”

His voice grew colder as he added, “The last person who blocked my path… they’re already halfway through a bowl of Meng Po soup and met a miserable end.”

He smiled slightly, an aura of malicious intent and overwhelming killing intent emanating from him, making the air feel oppressive.

Jun Fengya felt as though she was being stared at by some monstrous being, an unease creeping down her spine. Her mind involuntarily recalled the terrible fate of Jun Jueli as described in the intelligence reports.

Although Ye Xuefeng’s talent was unrivaled, his temperament was notoriously bad, and he was said to be erratic. The ones who perished at his hands seemed to meet a particularly gruesome fate, suffering long before their death.

Before Jun Fengya could respond, her guards were already glaring at Lin Fengmian, their anger boiling over.

“How dare you talk to the Ninth Princess like that!”

“Brat, what do you think you’re doing, getting so arrogant?”

“Yes, you’re looking for death!”

The huge Lion Roar Beast behind them let out an angry roar, its front claws scraping against the ground with sparks flying, adding to the tension in the air.

Lin Fengmian swept his gaze over them with a dismissive sneer. Then he nonchalantly said, “Princess, hold on to your dog. If it keeps barking at me, I’ll stop being polite.”

His words, though seemingly harmless, were an extreme insult that sent the entire group into a rage.

“Are you insulting us by calling us dogs?” one of the guards shouted.

“How dare you insult us? Do you know who we are?” sneered another guard.

“You’re just a snot-nosed brat! What is your problem?” they continued angrily.

Lin Fengmian shrugged his shoulders and mocked, “I didn’t mean anything by it. But if everyone is so eager to take offense, I can’t help you. In my eyes, you’re all no different than that beast.”

His words were sharp and cutting, almost labeling everyone as worthless.

Jun Fengya’s subordinates were furious, especially the ones with a bad temper, who glared at Lin Fengmian as if they wanted to tear him apart.

Lin Fengmian smirked, his finger outstretched. “Don’t like it? Come at me.”

Seeing the situation escalating, Jun Fengya quickly raised her hand to stop the guards, signaling them to calm down. She silently stepped aside to make space.

“It seems that Young Master Ye has misunderstood me. Since you don’t wish to come with me, I won’t insist,” she said with a faint smile.

“But I’d like to invite both of you to my residence in the city tonight at the Heavy Bright Pavilion for a welcome banquet to offer some hospitality. I hope the young master will grace us with his presence.”

Before Lin Fengmian could reject her offer, Jun Fengya took out a blue pill and smiled, “Don’t worry, Young Master Ye. I promise you won’t be disappointed.”

Lin Fengmian immediately recognized the pill as a top-grade Spirit Fusion Pill, and his eyes brightened with interest.

At first, he thought that Jun Fengya might be using it to coerce him, but to his surprise, she casually dropped the pill on the ground, allowing it to pick up dust.

Looking at Lin Fengmian, she remained calm, “Since it fell and got dirty, I no longer have any interest in it.”

“If you don’t mind, consider it a little gift from me to you, a token of our first meeting. The effect of the pill is still intact despite the dust.”
