Jujutsu Kaisen: I Have A Gardevoir

Chapter 126: Ch.126 Big Sister Who Understands and the Unscrupulous Big Younger Brother

Although in the field of science, identical twins are just as normal as any other fetuses,

in the world of Jujutsu, because they originate from a single egg, identical twins are regarded in mysticism as one entity, or rather one concept.

That is, the same source of Cursed Energy, the same Cursed Technique, shared by both twins.

It was originally one whole, now forcibly split into two halves. It's not hard to understand that such splitting can lead to technique fracturing or the inability to inherit Jujutsu fully.

Compared to those unfortunate predecessors, the fact that Maki Zen'in and Mai Zen'in ended up each displaying extreme attributes on opposite ends is already a blessing in disguise.

One inherited a highly promising Cursed Technique, while the other possesses a reverse Heavenly Restriction.

The only pity is that they aren't extreme enough.

In the world of mysteries, being infinitely close and truly reaching the threshold are vastly different. They're a world apart.

Take Maki for example: although she's often nicknamed "Little Toji" or "Little Tyrant," as long as she doesn't eliminate that last tiny trace of Cursed Energy, she can never remove the "little" from her name.

All future growth can only focus on martial skill and intellect, never achieving that leap from quantitative to qualitative change.

As for Mai, there aren't really comparable cases. But considering how important completeness is in the Jujutsu world, the burdens and limitations of her "Construction" Cursed Technique would be much smaller after it's perfected.

If we dare to think even bolder, it's not impossible for her to become a second "Nuclear Bomb Sword Immortal." Although, purely by scientific theory, Mai could already theoretically "knead" a nuclear bomb by hand—after all, she can directly interfere with physical rules and conjure fully critical radioactive material. It's not out of the question.

The problem is, if she actually created it, Mai herself wouldn't have much left.

Not making a fully assembled nuclear bomb but just producing nuclear material is also feasible. This is exactly the kind of stage that Akira believes best suits the talents of a Jujutsu Sorcerer.

Having such a strategic-level ability yet not being put to good use—Japan's downfall (日本药丸, "Japan medicine pill" as a pun meaning "Japan is doomed") is no empty statement.

Of course, it's easy to imagine and complain, but actually doing it is difficult.

Creating a hand-made nuclear bomb, which either endangers others or oneself, is already very hard. Getting Maki and Mai each to become more extreme in their respective directions is even harder.

Although Akira knows of a certain method, neither he nor the twin sisters would accept it. He must find another way.

And in the Jujutsu world, there are only two who can be considered researchers: one is the big boss Kenjaku, and the other is right before his eyes—Yuki Tsukumo.

Akira's intentions are obvious.

"Twins… twins…"

As the explanation deepened, Yuki Tsukumo gradually fell into thought, tapping the bedside table beside her now and then, muttering to herself.

"The upper limit of a Jujutsu Sorcerer is basically decided the moment they're born—whatever you're meant to be, you will be. But that's in the overall sense. Without destroying the whole, if we only make fine adjustments internally within the twins…"

"Is it possible?" Akira pursued the question.

"It's not entirely impossible. Although exactly how to operate would require further research and verification." Yuki Tsukumo finally organized her train of thought. "This trip to Kyoto was truly worthwhile. So many gains! Ah~ I'm full of motivation. Young people nowadays are really remarkable."

"As long as there's a possibility. As payment for sharing this information, I hope you can agree to one thing."

Akira's intentions were as clear as day to Yuki Tsukumo.

"You mean without going against their will, right? With that attitude, you still say you don't want the 'sister combo meal'?"

"It's really not that. I just feel that one must not deviate from the most basic respect and bottom line in being human. Such things are far too rare in the Jujutsu world."

"Well said. I like it."

Yuki Tsukumo raised her thumb, showing her approval of Akira's words.

"Don't worry. As for humanity, I don't have much left, but it's still more than those old fossils at the top. Even if I had no humanity at all, I wouldn't want to ruin such precious 'materials.' If they were ruined, I might never again have any hope in my lifetime.

If it really got to that point, I could only ride a motorcycle around the world, admiring all sorts of handsome men and beautiful women. Although that wouldn't be bad either, a person should have some pursuit in life."

Akira also gave a thumbs-up: "I have no talent in these areas, so I can't help much. I can only wish you, big sis, the best of luck."

"No, you can help, and not just in one way."

"If you mean introducing you to Maki, that I can do."

"That's just one of them. The most valuable aspect of your ability is 'creating Pokémon.' Since you can create Pokémon that 'devour curses' to grow, why can't you create Pokémon that fundamentally absorb Cursed Energy?"

"This…"

Akira began to think.

Regular Pokémon don't have such abilities—after all, that's a world unrelated to Jujutsu Kaisen's worldview.

But what if it's a Legendary Pokémon or a Mythical Pokémon that controls the laws of nature?

After all, in the Pokémon world there's a creator god, the origin of life, and wish-granting machines—super-level BUG entities. The only question is when and where to obtain their memes.

But as Yuki Tsukumo said, a person should have some pursuit in life. As long as there's not a complete lack of hope, there's a direction to work towards.

"I'll try my best to attempt that."

"That's the spirit!"

Yuki Tsukumo spread her five fingers, vigorously patting Akira's back, then reached out her hand forward and said:

"Do you know? Being Special Grade isn't just about having extraordinary strength, it's also about appearing out-of-line to the higher-ups. Akira, you're already in that realm, so let me say this to you—welcome to the world of Special Grades. Let's get along well."

"Thank you. It's my honor."

They clasped hands, their gazes meeting, smiling at each other.

This pair of individuals, a man and a woman separated by a generation, may still be far from calling each other soulmates, but they do share a certain common trait.

A similar trait can also be found in Satoru Gojo.

Perhaps this is the fundamental reason they've been able to reach this point.

And after finishing their serious conversation, Yuki Tsukumo did not leave. Instead, she continued chatting with Akira.

They talked about life, ideals, and all sorts of interesting anecdotes from the Jujutsu world.

Because she's been active abroad all year round, Yuki Tsukumo hasn't been trapped by Japan's narrow and deformed island environment.

In terms of breadth of mind and wide vision, she's definitely number one in the Jujutsu world.

Talking with her not only broadens horizons but is also pleasing to the eye.

In just a few hours, the increase in Akira's knowledge reserves was about equal to eight years in rural Shikoku. The title "Urahara Kisuke of the Jujutsu World" is well-deserved.

Among the topics were various obscure and little-known offshoots and secrets of Jujutsu, as well as the global layout of the mystical world.

Because of the barrier set by Master Tengen, Japan's Cursed Spirits and Jujutsu Sorcerers are more active than elsewhere.

But that doesn't mean other places are weak. The world is huge, and with so many people, there will always be some extraordinary existences.

Moreover, due to differences in culture, tradition, and politics, in many places Jujutsu Sorcerers aren't severed from the mundane world—instead, they are closely intertwined.

For example, the mystery of identical twins was solved by European alchemists working together with doctors.

For example, across the sea, in the "Flower-Growing Nation" (a nickname for China), a few years back there emerged a Special Grade hypothetical Cursed Spirit called the "Thunder Beast." Rather than exorcise it, the Jujutsu Sorcerers there tried their best to control it as a free source of electricity.

They extracted energy from it while using supercomputers to calculate its consumption and recovery, pushing the concept of sustainable development to the limit.

Unfortunately, only a handful of countries worldwide can pull off such feats. If the whole world could manage this, Yuki Tsukumo wouldn't need to consider freeing humanity from Cursed Energy at all.

Wouldn't free labor be wonderful? Whether socialism, capitalism, or even feudal or slave systems, none would refuse, right?

Except maybe some saints or white-left liberals.

Although Akira found it hard to understand why anyone would want to "box with Cursed Spirits for equal rights," Yuki Tsukumo had indeed seen such people.

The solution was simple: lock these people in a room with a Cursed Spirit for one night, and they all become honest.

At this point, the understanding big sister and the unscrupulous big younger brother both laughed.

The whole luxurious large-bed room resounded with peals of laughter like barbell plates clanging, filling the air with a cheerful atmosphere.
