Sajuna's face turned a deep shade of red, and without thinking, she stepped on Amamiya's foot.

"Where exactly are you looking while talking?" she snapped.

Following that, Amamiya found himself acting as a photographer, his primary job now being to take photos of the two girls.

"Hey, my phone is ringing," Umi announced, raising her hand to signal a pause. She grabbed her phone and stepped aside to take the call. "You two go ahead and start. I'll catch up after I answer this."

Amamiya turned to the pink-haired girl. "So, what's Sajuna-san's decision?"

"I'm exhausted. Let's take a break," Sajuna sighed softly. Suddenly, faint cries drifted from a distance, catching her attention. She turned toward the sound. "Is that an elementary school student crying?"

"It does sound like it," Amamiya replied, glancing at her. "As a magical girl, isn't it your duty to save the day?"

"…"

The two made their way to the corner of the park.

The source of the crying was a little girl with a round face, short bobbed hair, and a small yellow hat perched on her head. She sniffled incessantly, while another young girl beside her tried to console her.

Upon inquiry, they learned that the crying girl had accidentally dropped her bracelet onto a tree while playing beneath it. The bracelet held significant value, and she couldn't retrieve it. Fearing punishment from her parents, she had grown increasingly distressed.

"I see it," Amamiya said, pointing to the tree. "The bracelet is up there."

The tree was a cherry blossom, though it was already May, and its flowers had long since fallen, leaving only dense green foliage.

The bracelet was clearly visible on a branch over two meters above the ground.

A breeze swept through, rustling the leaves and casting playful shadows on the ground.

"That's pretty high," Sajuna remarked, turning to Amamiya.

"Don't look at me," he replied quickly. "Saving the world is a magical girl's responsibility."

"I'm not an actual magical girl…"

Sajuna wanted to argue, but two delighted squeals interrupted her thoughts.

The elementary school girls stared up at her with sparkling eyes.

"Is big sister a magical girl?"

"When I grow up, I want to be a magical girl too!"

"Magical girl, please retrieve the bracelet. If not, Mom's going to be super scary!"

"…"

Faced with their eager pleas, Sajuna pressed her pink lips together, forcing a smile. Reluctantly, she nodded.

"…Leave it to me."

Agreeing was one thing, but figuring out how to retrieve the bracelet was another.

"Climb the tree?" Sajuna muttered, tilting her head as she assessed the problem. "No, the branch looks too thin. It won't hold my weight… and I've never climbed a tree before."

With no other options, she turned to Amamiya for help, whispering, "Can't you just jump and grab it?"

Amamiya sighed. "As a magical girl, you're not supposed to ask random passersby for help."

"Hmph." Sajuna scoffed. "Even magical girls can have servants, can't they?"

Amamiya glanced around. "And where exactly are these servants?"

She raised her chin, smirking. "You're one of them."

"…"

Amamiya gave it a try, jumping to reach the bracelet, but fell short by a considerable margin.

"Hmmm…"

Sajuna pouted slightly, her pink lips pursed in frustration as she frowned.

Under the expectant gaze of the elementary school girls, she seemed to reach a decision. With a soft sigh, she gestured for Amamiya to come closer and murmured:

"Bend down."

Amamiya complied, lowering his head to listen.

"I can't reach it by myself…" Sajuna's warm, sweet breath brushed against his ear as she whispered hesitantly, "Can I sit on your shoulders?"

Amamiya looked utterly taken aback. "I see you as a friend, and you actually want to ride on me?"

Sajuna puffed her cheeks in frustration. "Then what else can we do?"

'What's so bad about it?' she thought. After all, school sports festivals have horse-riding battles every year.

Amamiya sighed and suggested, "I could just lift you up."

"Lift me? Really?" Sajuna looked doubtful.

For someone as petite as you—flat chest, short legs—it wouldn't just be possible; I could probably walk laps and do exercises while holding you, he thought, but wisely kept the comment to himself.

"You'll know if we try," he said instead, his tone confident.

"Fine…" Sajuna hesitated for a moment before reluctantly nodding.

Amamiya stepped behind her, placed his hands on her sides, and lifted her effortlessly.

'She's lighter than I thought,' he realized. 'Probably less than 40 kilograms.'

What surprised him more was how slender her waist felt. His fingers could actually touch when he clasped her sides.

"So…so high!" Sajuna gasped softly at the sudden change in perspective, then quickly stiffened as realization hit her.

'This posture… isn't this just being held up like a kid?'

She ground her teeth in mild humiliation. 'I'm a high school student! I'll be in college in a year and a half! How could I let someone hold me up like this?'

"Hurry and grab the bracelet," Amamiya urged from below. "I can't hold you forever."

"Don't look around!" Sajuna snapped.

"Relax," he assured her. "The light's too dim for me to see anything."

"You'll definitely look anyway!"

"…"

Despite the banter, Amamiya easily held Sajuna high enough for her to retrieve the bracelet caught in the branches.

"Almost…got it." Sajuna exhaled in relief as her fingers closed around the bracelet. Her lips curved into a small smile of triumph.

The two elementary school girls clapped and cheered below, their eyes shining with admiration.

"Big sister is amazing!"

"I want to be a magical girl when I grow up!"

Sajuna bent down slightly to toss the bracelet to the grateful children. However, the shift in her center of gravity threw her balance off.

"Whoa!" she yelped, her body swaying precariously.

Fortunately, Amamiya reacted in time, steadying her before gently lowering her to the ground.

Once her feet touched the earth, Sajuna hastily pressed her skirt down and clenched her knees together. Her face flushed a vivid red, almost glowing.

'!!!'

Amamiya, meanwhile, had a peculiar look on his face. He raised his fingers, inspecting a faint shimmer on them as sunlight filtered through the leaves.

A subtle wet stain gleamed faintly.

Sajuna's face burned hotter. She shouted defensively, "It's SWEAT!"

"It's over 30 degrees today! Of course, it's normal to sweat, right?!"

"Don't worry," Amamiya replied seriously. "I'll keep it a secret. I won't tell anyone about what happened today."

Sajuna fumed, her teeth clenching in frustration. "It's not even something strange! There's no need to keep it a secret!"

"So I should tell people, then?" Amamiya asked innocently.

"…"

Sajuna fell silent.

Though she insisted it wasn't a big deal, she 'really' didn't want anyone else to know.

Their conversation was interrupted as another figure approached.

"JuJu-sama! Amamiya-kun!"

Umi came running toward them, her face filled with worry. "Something's wrong!"

She stopped to catch her breath and hurriedly explained, "I just finished my call and saw a movie ticket lying on the ground. I picked it up out of curiosity, and then—"

A sudden breeze swept through, blowing the movie ticket from Umi's hands.

Sajuna instinctively caught it, glancing down at the ticket. Her eyes widened.

Before she could process what was happening, the sound she dreaded most echoed in her mind:

[Congratulations! You've picked up a ticket to the "Horror Cinema" dungeon...]
