Kamen Rider Deku | My Hero Academia X Kamen Rider

Chapter 55: Prologue | The Usual Morning Detour [UPDATED]

[9 months later]

"Rider Kick!!!"

The green-armored rider shouted, his voice echoing across the vast quarry as he launched himself into the air!

His figure cut through the sunlight as he soared mid-flight, his glowing right leg extended outward in a devastating flying side kick aimed at the Pomeranian dog-like monster imajin!

"WAN WAN?!?!"

The dog imajin yelped in panic, but its cry was cut short as the powerful kick struck its chest dead-center with incredible force, driving it backward with an audible impact!

But the green rider wasn't done yet.

His attack pressed on—relentless and unyielding! The dog imajin's monstrous body stumbled further and further back, its clawed feet skidding through the rough, sandy terrain of the quarry...!

And then—it happened.

As the rider's kick drove it back further, a glowing, translucent figure began to emerge from within the dog imajin's monstrous form...!

The "host" of the imajin—its true human vessel—was forcibly expelled! The man's limp body fell free, landing on the ground with a faint thud.

The green rider phased cleanly through the host, his momentum unbroken as his relentless kick continued to drive the dog imajin further back.

Finally, the attack reached its climax—a radiant explosion erupted from the rider's kick!

The dog imajin's monstrous body was consumed by the explosion, scattering dust and debris across the quarry!

The green-armored rider then landed gracefully nearby, standing up tall and powerful as faint trails of green energy dissipated from his glowing leg.

Behind him, the explosion eventually subsided, leaving behind a smoldering crater.

As the dust settled, he turned to survey the results of his work: the scorched terrain where wisps of dark miasma rose faintly into the air.

He extended his hand, materializing a small clear vial. Holding it out toward the miasma, he watched as the dark mist began to flow into the vial, dissipating as it condensed into a murky, purplish liquid.

"Alright~, got another unique one~," the young man inside the green armor muttered, a grin tugging at his lips behind his masked helmet.

"Oi! Deku!"

A familiar voice called out from the distance. The green-armored rider turned to see his childhood friend, Bakugou Katsuki, standing at the edge of the quarry.

"Are you done yet?" she shouted, her tone sharp with irritation.

Dressed in her black school sailor uniform, Katsuki stood with her arms crossed, her patience clearly wearing thin.

"Yeah, I'm done here, Kacchan~," Izuku called back casually, his usual nonchalant tone earning him a glare.

Grabbing hold of the white Driver on his waist, he dematerialized it along with his armored form. His unruly green hair and black school gakuran were bathed in the warm morning sunlight as he returned to his usual self.

"Hurry up, will you?! The entrance exam's gonna start in half an hour, dammit!"

"I know~, I know~, I'm coming~!"

Izuku jogged toward her, reaching her spot at the quarry's overlook. Katsuki, her arms still folded tightly, met him with an exasperated glare.

"Seriously, Izuku, was this morning detour really necessary? Dragging us all the way out of town just for this one dog guy..."

She pointed toward the center of the quarry, where the unconscious man lay sprawled on the ground.

"You know we could've handled this later, right? That guy didn't even seem that dangerous," she added, her tone heavy with annoyance.

"Haha~, sorry, sorry. I couldn't help it," he said with a sheepish laugh, unfazed by her glare. "This guy had a pretty rare imajin sub-type, so I got a little hyped up."

Katsuki sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as if already exhausted despite the early hour.

"You and your weird collector habit..." she muttered, shaking her head. "...Whatever. Let's just go already."

"Sure thing~."

They made their way to a nearby parked motorcycle—the green rider's sleek, custom ride.

Izuku materialized two helmets, handing one to Katsuki before hopping onto the bike and revving the engine a few times to warm it up. Katsuki climbed on behind him, begrudgingly wrapping her arms around his waist for support.

Though as usual... she couldn't hide the slight blush on her cheeks whenever she rode with him, which, as always... went completely unnoticed by the young man in question.

"Alright, let's go~."

With a final rev, the motorcycle roared to life, speeding out of the quarry and toward the bustling metropolis of Musutafu.

After weaving through the busy highways of Musutafu, they finally arrived at their destination:

U.A. University.

"Whistle~, this place is as impressive as they say, isn't it, Kacchan?"

"Yeah... It's the best hero university in Japan, after all."

U.A. University was indeed one of the top higher education institutions in Japan, but also, most importantly, the No. 1 hero-oriented institution in the country.

The campus building itself gleamed under the morning light, giving it a striking allure for the eyes.

At the large gated entrance, there was already a large influx of people, mainly high schoolers like them, entering the premises. Today, after all, was a big day for this university—it was none other than the U.A. Entrance Exam.

Izuku and Katsuki's arrival—on a sleek motorcycle, no less—drew the curious stares of many aspiring students.

"I-Izuku, let's quickly park your wheels already..." Katsuki muttered, finding the attention a bit overwhelming, given that she had been clinging to his waist moments ago.

"Sure~."

With his motorbike parked in the designated visitor parking, they now stood at the entrance of U.A. University—once again, admiring the sight of the grand campus.

"See, Kacchan? We made it just in the nick of time~."

"Yeah, barely! If it weren't for your 'detour,' we'd have been here way earlier."

Izuku chuckled softly, unfazed by her scolding, "relax~, will you? We're here, aren't we?"

"Like hell I could relax, Deku, you damn idiot!" Katsuki snapped, the irritation in her tone as sharp as her mouth. "If only we'd arrived earlier, we could've done a quick survey of the campus or gathered some intel about the exam itself..."

"Now, now, don't worry too much about it, Kacchan," he reassured her, "I'm sure we can do a little tour after the entrance exam—"

But before he could finish, a loud shout cut through the air...!

"I'm late, I'm late!"

Both of them turned back their gaze in unison... to see a brunette young lady sprinting toward them...!
