Japan, Ozunu Orphanage: Forest

"Mhmm." Scarlett stirred as she was about to wake up. Her brow furrowed as her right hand went towards her face, touching it repeatedly.

Her eyes snapped open wide, and she sat up, looking around while holding her face. Before relaxing as she didn't see any enemies but she noticed her glasses on the ground.

She took it, a frown appearing on her face as she scanned the area. Then the sound of soldiers and Arashikage ninjas waking up filled the air.

She stood up and walked towards General Hawk, helping him to his feet. "Someone was here." she whispered to him, "They took the Ozunu clan ninjas and kids."

General Hawk frowned, his gaze shifting from Talia and Noshiko, who were still asleep with their masks, on to Raizo, who was also unconscious.

He then turned to his side, where Blind Master and Hard Master were helping their Tōryō to stand.

"Looks like someone got to them before you guys did." General Hawk said, knowing the Arashikage Clan's intention to recruit the Ozunu children. 'Hopefully, they have a way to find them,' he thought, needing to know where the Ozunu Clan was.

He was okay with the Tōryō being a child, but he wouldn't rest easy until he knew where they were and who had taken them and put them to sleep.

He looked at Noshiko, who was starting to wake up.

Sen didn't respond to General Hawk. Instead, she surveyed the forest, searching for any trace of the intruders.

Her gaze landed on Lucian, who was still unconscious. She studied him carefully. 'Looks like he's still safe,' she thought, examining his clothes. Her eyes narrowed, contemplating something.

"The Arashikage Clan doesn't want to recruit the Ozunu ninjas. We wanted to build a new relationship with the new Tōryō." Sen said, turning to General Hawk.

General Hawk frowned at her words but didn't argue with her, his gaze still fixed on Noshiko. "You don't have any friends who can knock us out with mist, do you?" he asked, his voice laced with suspicion.

Only supernatural beings could do that to them.

Sen followed his gaze, looking at Noshiko, frowning but shaking her head in denial. "The Arashikage Clan doesn't have any guests who can do that." She denied any connection to the attack, thinking, 'but I still need to confirm it with Noshiko,' as she had noticed something while observing Lucian.

Noshiko, who still felt a little groggy, felt their gaze on her. She quickly touched her face, sighing with relief. 'Looks like I put my mask on before I was knocked out,' she thought.

She looked around, noticing Satomi and Talia starting to wake up. Her eyes darted towards Talia, who was naked without clothes and her mask.

She hurried towards Talia, then she held Talia's head down. Making Talia's eyes glow with anger but Noshiko simply whispered in her ear, "Don't look, the soldiers will know your identity."

Talia's eyes widened Realizing She had only canceled her transformation when she faced Areum. She hurriedly bowed her head.

General Hawk, seeing this, frowned and shouted at the soldiers,

"Get this lady some clothes." The soldiers looked at each other, confused, wondering where they could find clothes in the middle of the forest.

Blind Master shook his head, narrowing his eyes and focusing on Talia.

Clothes appeared on her and her face became covered with a ninja mask like the Arashikage Clan.

"Thank you." Talia said, bowing to the Blind Master, who returned the gesture.

Satomi, now awake walked in front of Talia, covering her body, blocking the sight of other people.

Sen stepped forward, facing Noshiko. "Do you guys know who took the Ozunu clan away?" she asked, hoping for answers.

General Hawk focused on the two women, his gaze intent wanting to see through if they're lying.

Noshiko frowned, putting her hand on her head, thinking, 'My only memory is why they took them. There were four or five of them,' she shook her head toward Sen.

"You don't know, or you don't want to say?" Scarlett asked, her voice sharp as she looked at the glasses in her hand, which had been deliberately crushed with force.

Noshiko looked at Scarlett, her purple eyes glowing intensely.

Scarlett froze, feeling a sense of danger as if being targeted or hunted. She reached for her crossbow but General Hawk pushed her back.

Seeing this Noshiko turned her head towards Sen, "No, I don't. My memory is fuzzy, but I can remember seeing four or five people, two men and three women. They're the ones who took them." She said, her gaze locking with Sen's, conveying her honesty.

Sen sighed, sensing Noshiko's truthfulness. "Then can you describe them?" she asked, hoping for more details.

Noshiko shook her head in denial, "I only know their gender because of their body shapes." She then looked at Talia and Satomi, hoping they could offer more information.

Satomi closed her eyes, concentrating on her memories, but she couldn't recall anything beyond what Noshiko had already said, so she shook her head.

Sen and General Hawk exchanged a troubled glance. Whoever had done this was incredibly powerful, capable of altering the memories of an Alpha Wolf.

Their gaze shifted to Talia, who also shook her head, indicating she had no additional information.

Sen sighed, her gaze landing on Raizo, before looking at Lucian. "It seems the Ozunu Clan had stronger support than we realized." she said, marveling at Lucian's continued survival. 'How can such a small child take all that damage?' she thought in wonder.

General Hawk followed her gaze as he also looked at Lucian. "Why do you think they helped them? And not just to take the Ozunu clan, but they don't want a traitor and a dying child behind?" he said, his voice laced with doubt. He watched Raizo and Lucian, noticing the extent of Lucian's wounds. 'This kid doesn't have any hope of surviving,' he thought, regretting the lost opportunity to learn more about the next Tōryō of the Ozunu clan. 'Pity,' he thought.

Raizo frowned, his memories still hazy. He could still hear Takeshi's voice, 'Live your life, little brother, but you already know where you belong,'

Raizo walked toward Lucian and placed his palm on the boy's chest feeling Lucian condition carefully.

Sen watched Raizo, then shook her head, disagreeing with General Hawk's assessment. "No, if they only wanted the kids, they wouldn't have left loose ends alive." Her eyes turned towards Raizo. "And it seems the kids said goodbye properly." she said, gesturing to Lucian's clothes. The bloodstains on his clothes had decreased and covered with marks.

"He must have been moved, touched, maybe even hugged." Sen said, understanding that the children's farewell would have been possible only if those who took them were friendly. 'But who would dare to help the Ozunu clan?' she thought, knowing they were hated by both humans and supernatural forces.

She looked at Lucian's face, 'But why would they leave behind the Tōryō? Is he too far gone?' she wondered, considering his grievous injuries.

General Hawk nodded in agreement with Sen. He saw the blood on Lucian fading. 'Since they are friendly, maybe he saw them,' he thought.

"Did you remember them, Raizo?" General Hawk asked, hopeful for some good news.

"No, I don't. Now let me focus." Raizo said, not opening his eyes as he continued to check Lucian's body. He frowned. 'Even if I guide his healing, his body won't hold for long. He needs immediate help,' he thought, worries gnawing at him.

Noshiko walked towards Raizo with Talia and Satomi, her expression reflecting their shared concern.

"What happened? Is he going to die?" she asked, her voice cold. Everything they had been through, their mission, was about finding Lucian.

They had found him but now they might lose him.

Satomi's eyes were filled with sadness. She knew how hard Lucian had worked to save the children, and now he was paying the price.

Raizo opened his eyes, worried etched on his face. He looked at Noshiko and the others. "He's dying. He needs help immediately. Maybe you guys can do something?" His voice held a glimmer of hope, that the supernatural beings present can save Lucian. 'He's the future of the Ozunu clan,' Raizo thought, imagining the children waiting for Lucian to wake up, and the changes they will bring.

Noshiko met his gaze, seeing the hope in his eyes. She shook her head slowly sighing, "Sorry, I don't have anything that can help him." Her gaze fell to Lucian's face, sadness etched on her features.

"Maybe I can -" Satomi began, but Talia pulled her arm, shaking her head.

"We already did everything we could." Talia said, as they had helped Deaton find Lucian. It was enough that they had found him and helped him, but healing him while Satomi lost something was too much to ask.

"Think about your pack." Talia whispered to Satomi.

Satomi's shoulders slumped, her eyes fixed on Lucian before she closed her eyes and clenched her teeth.

"Can you do something? Then help him!" Hearing them Raizo stood, his gaze locked on Satomi, his full of voice urgency.

Talia pulled Satomi behind her as she looked at Raizo. "No." she said, her eyes glowing golden yellow, warning Raizo.

Raizo clenched his fist as his gaze was unwavering as he looked at Talia.

The tense atmosphere was palpable.

The soldiers and the Arashikage clan members couldn't help but watch the unfolding drama.

General Hawk looked at Sen. "Why don't you help them?" he asked, knowing the Arashikage clan had extensive healing facilities in Japan.

Sen looked at the tense group before answering. "I want to, but even the Arashikage clan doesn't have the ability to bring back the dead." she said, her words a sentence of death for Lucian.

His own clan couldn't help him, and those who wanted to couldn't.

What they didn't know was that Lucian could survive on his own but he just wasn't going to heal quickly. The Golden Tree would always help him until it was destroyed.

The tension hung heavy in the air when a sound of running and shouting echoed from a distance. Everyone turned their heads, even Raizo and Talia, who halted their argument. The soldiers pointed their guns towards the source of the sound.

They saw the Arashikage clan approaching, a masked figure running beside them like Talia and the others but the difference was His body shape was clearly male.

Seeing them, General Hawk ordered his soldiers, "At ease, men. Friendlies."

The masked man ran past them, heading towards Noshiko and the others.

"What happened? Did you find him?" Deaton asked, knowing he hadn't been able to help much when he heard about the Arashikage and soldiers attacking the Ozunu clan.

He had stayed on the helicopter.

"You didn't?" Deaton asked, confusion evident in his voice when he saw Noshiko shake her head but then his expression shifted to shock as Noshiko moved aside, revealing Lucian's unconscious form.

"Is this him?! What happened to this kid?" Deaton exclaimed, kneeling beside Lucian and inspecting his wounds.

He reached for a pouch on his waist, opening it to reveal dry leaves of unknown plants. He placed them on Lucian's shoulder wound and other injuries, stopping it's bleeding. 'Even if I stop the bleeding he's already lost too much blood,' Deaton sighed, his hopes for Lucian's survival waning.

He checked Lucian's pulse, feeling his heart beat faintly. He wasn't sure if it was normal, and he couldn't believe a child with such serious wounds could possibly survive.

Deaton looked around the clearing, hoping to find something useful but there was nothing.

He sighed, finally turning to Satomi, his eyes filled with a complicated mix of emotions. "You're the only one who can help him now." he said.

"No, we already did everything we could. I know you wanted to find him but I can't let Satomi suffer because of him." Talia said softly, knowing it was Deaton's mission to bring Lucian back.

Raizo clenched his fist at Talia's words, but he knew she was right. He couldn't force them to do something they weren't willing to do.

Deaton shook his head, understanding Talia's concern about Satomi losing her alpha status. "No, I'm not talking about that kind of healing."

Talia's eyes narrowed, her brow furrowed as she heard Deaton's words. "Then what do -" Her eyes widened as she understood what he meant.

"That's not healing. It's betting his life, whether he survives or not," Talia said, her voice laced with doubt.

"Yes, but if we do nothing, he will just die." Deaton replied, thinking it was better to gamble than to do nothing.

"He is dying, but if Satomi does it and fails, she will be the one who killed him." Talia said, understanding how Satomi felt emotional for the boy.

Hearing their conversation, Raizo's eyes brightened. "Please, please help him." he pleaded bowing low to Satomi.

"What Deaton is saying isn't a heal! And now his body is weaker, maybe it will just kill him faster." Talia argued, knowing Raizo's desperation.

Raizo ignored Talia's words, continuing to bow to Satomi, showing his plea was silent but urgent.

"You - " Talia began, but Satomi interrupted her.

"I'll do it." Satomi said, her voice was resolute. She stood and walked towards Lucian, kneeling beside him.

"Satomi." Talia called out with worry and concern in her voice.

Noshiko moved to Satomi's side, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Satomi smiled slightly at them, "This is the only thing I could do for the boy." she said, her gaze towards Lucian's face as she touched his cheek.

"Survive, and stay strong. Your friends are waiting for you." she whispered to him.

The soldiers and Arashikage clan members couldn't help but take a step forward to watch, curiosity and apprehension mingled in their expressions.

General Hawk and Sen's eyes widened. 'Could she be...?' they thought in unison, realizing the possibility of Satomi being an Alpha Wolf of the Lycaon Lineage.

They exchanged a brief, knowing glance before ordering their men to move.

"Soldiers, go back to the orphanage and check if any of the Ozunu clan are still hiding there." General Hawk shouted, his voice booming through the forest.

The soldiers, confused by the sudden order, looked at General Hawk.

"The mission is complete. We're going back home." Sen said, turning to walk towards the helicopter. Blind Master and Hard Master exchanged glances before following, while Akiko trailed behind them.

The Arashikage Clan Ninjas took a look at each other before they started following, Jinx and Storm Shadow who were leading the way as they began their journey back to their base.

Seeing the Arashikage clan moving and his soldiers still standing there, a vein pulsed on General Hawk's forehead, his anger evident. "Are you still standing there? Go now!" He stormed towards the helicopter, not wanting to see the soldiers' reactions.

Scarlett followed behind, a slight smile playing on her lips.

Maslow took a step forward, "You heard the General, let's go. Finish this mission and get back home." he ordered, leading the way toward the orphanage, setting an example for his soldiers.

The soldiers glanced towards Lucian and Satomi before following Maslow.

While Mika walked beside Maslow.

"Aren't you a bit curious what they're going to do?" she whispered, knowing the suspicious timing of the leaders' orders to leave at the same time as Satomi was about to heal lucian.

"We are just soldiers following orders." Maslow said plainly, stopping for a moment and looking straight ahead.

"But you are not, so tell me about what you see later." he whispered, his voice low enough for only Mika to hear, before continuing his walk.

Mika paused, watching Maslow walk away before her eyes lit up.

She walked slowly towards Raizo.

The helicopter began to lift off the ground. General Hawk and Sen nodded at each other before focusing on Lucian and Satomi, understanding what Satomi was about to do. The helicopter soared into the air.

They couldn't risk it.

General Hawk knew his soldiers and the Joe's were loyal but the sudden power they could gain if they discovered the bite was too tempting.

He didn't dare bet on Joe's desire for strength, knowing Joe's only accepted human members.

While Sen had already experienced betrayal for strength and knew that those who were bitten would join Satomi's pack, not their clan.

Noshiko's hands tightened on Satomi's shoulders, her gaze fixed on the soldiers and Arashikage clan, their figures fading into the distance.

She watched the helicopter disappear into the sky, then focused on Mika, who was now walking slowly towards them.

Mika felt Noshiko's gaze and smiled wryly. "Hello." she said, waving awkwardly at Noshiko.

She walked to Raizo's side, hiding behind him as she watched Lucian closely. She looked around observing them before her eyes widened in alarm as she screamed.

"AHHHHH!" She saw the illusion of Talia's body collapsing, leaving Talia stark naked.

Talia, eyes widening as her illusionary clothes vanished, raised her hands to cover her private parts.

Raizo and Deaton closed their eyes out of respect.

Talia walked to the side then shape-shifted back into a full wolf, her form returning to its natural state.

She then looked at Lucian.

Raizo felt his hand being pulled. Knowing it was Mika, he rolled his eyes, a wry smile appearing on his lips.

They all watched, their attention fixed on Satomi and what she was about to do.

Satomi held Lucian's wrist, pulling down his black sleeve, her red eyes glowing intensely. Her fangs emerged, and she bit him, then gently released him.

She used her sleeve to wipe the blood from his face.

"That's it?" Mika whispered, confused. She had expected something more mystical, magical something more elaborate.

"That's it. That's how to be one of them." Raizo whispered, looking around, figuring out why General Hawk and Sen had ordered their men to leave. 'A very tempting power,' he thought, shaking his head.

"He still needs to survive, and this time he's the only one who can help himself." Satomi said, finishing cleaning Lucian's face. She fixed his hair and then held his hand, hoping to give him strength.

When a voice suddenly appeared behind them.

"You look more like his mother, more than Ahjumma."
