Chapter 110: Hunting Season
The seventh squad was eerily silent, save for the collective sound of jaws hitting the ground. All eyes were glued to Gojo, casually holding a ten-kilometer-long mountain like it was a beach ball.
The absurdity of the scene was almost enough to fry their brains.
"W-what… is that even allowed?" Naruto stammered, scratching his head.
Sasuke, ever the brooding cool guy, crossed his arms, though his widened eyes betrayed his shock. "Light-Heavy Rock Technique? Isn't that something only the Tsuchikage—"
"Correction!" Gojo cut in with a smug grin, balancing the mountain on a single finger like a circus performer. "I call this the 'Make Every Kage Jealous' technique. Unique, one-of-a-kind, and patent-pending."
Even Tsunade, who had arrived moments earlier with Kurenai, raised an eyebrow at the spectacle. "Light-Heavy Rock… That's supposed to be the signature move of the Tsuchikage's clan, right? And he's just… tossing mountains around for fun?"
Kurenai blinked, clearly trying to process the ridiculousness of it all. "I think 'fun' is his default setting."
With a nonchalant flick of his wrist, Gojo launched the mountain into the air. It landed with a thunderous crash, sending tremors through the earth that rattled windows in the nearby village.
"Okay, class, pay attention!" Gojo said, clapping his hands together. A shimmer of chakra enveloped the now-grounded mountain. "Earth Style: Weighted Rock Technique."
The mountain shuddered as its mass increased exponentially, cracks spidering across its surface. Within seconds, it crumbled into an avalanche of rubble.
"And that, my dear students, is how you make a mountain… into a molehill." Gojo turned with a flourish, his blindfolded gaze directed at the dumbstruck Team 7. "Any questions?"
Sakura's hand shot up, her eyes gleaming with determination. "Teacher Gojo, I get it! By decreasing an object's mass with the Light-Heavy Rock Technique, you can make it easier to move, and by increasing it, you amplify its impact. It's… brilliant!"
Naruto's brain, however, was running on fumes. He tilted his head. "So… it's strong?"
"Oh, it's very strong, Fox Kid," Gojo replied with a smirk. "But too bad you can't use it. No Earth Style chakra for you."
Naruto's jaw dropped. "WHAT?! But I wanted to show off in front of Sakura-chan!"
"Tough luck, buddy. Stick to summoning cats," Gojo teased, lightly kicking Naruto away. "You've got enough on your plate with that and Sage Mode training."
Naruto grumbled, his hands forming the seals for his Summoning Jutsu. "Stupid rocks. Stupid cats. Why can't I summon something cool, like a… tiger or a dragon?"
Meanwhile, Sasuke, ever the overachiever, scoffed. "Hmph. When I master my Fire Rasengan, I won't need your fancy Earth Style. I'll surpass you all." He turned back to his training, his Sharingan glinting with determination.
Gojo strolled over, ruffling Sasuke's hair like he was a misbehaving puppy. "Sure, sure. Keep telling yourself that, Emo Kid."
"Tch," Sasuke grunted, swatting Gojo's hand away.
While Sasuke stewed, Sakura excused herself to practice her own techniques. She was the only one in the group with Earth Style chakra, and she was determined to master these new abilities.
Gojo watched her go, turning to Kurenai and Tsunade with a proud grin. "See? My students know when not to be a third wheel. Great instincts, right?"
Tsunade shot him a withering glare. "Be serious for once. We need to talk."
"Oh, I can be serious," Gojo replied, leaning casually against a tree. "But only if it's worth my precious time. Are we talking life-or-death serious or Tsunade's-lost-another-gambling-bet serious?"
The vein on Tsunade's temple twitched. "Jiraiya's gone rogue—he's investigating Rain Village."
Gojo's jovial expression flickered for a moment. "That idiot. I warned him about the Rinnegan…"
Tsunade continued, pulling out a scroll. "Kakashi also found two Akatsuki members: Hidan and Kakuzu. Hidan's abilities are… unique, to say the least. And Kakuzu? He's a relic from the First Hokage's time."
Gojo opened the scroll, glancing over the intel. "Huh. A zealot with immortality issues and a guy who fought Hashirama. Sounds like a party."
Kurenai stepped forward, placing a small charm in Gojo's hand. "For protection."
Gojo grimaced, tucking it into his pocket despite his protests. "Ugh. Charms are so cliché. But since it's from you…"
Tsunade's frown deepened, a spark of jealousy flashing in her eyes. "Just don't get cocky out there."
Gojo turned with a wink. "Me? Cocky? Never. Now, you two behave while I'm gone." And with that, he vanished into thin air.
As the dust settled, Tsunade muttered, "That brat… He's getting more insufferable every day."
Kurenai smiled innocently. "But you still like him, right, Tsunade?"
"Follow me," Tsunade barked, stomping off. Kurenai followed with a smirk, leaving the seventh squad to their training—and their ever-outrageous teacher's legacy of chaos.
