Konoha: Uchiha's Two-Way Travel in One Piece

Chapter 32: Senju & Uchiha Alliance

-----

It wasn't just Uzumaki Mito who was curious—Tsunade, standing nearby, was equally intrigued.

This transformation was astonishing and left everyone yearning for answers.

"If I could gain the method to enhance vitality and physique, my strength would see a dramatic improvement," Tsunade thought, her heart racing with excitement.

"At the same time, Grandma's condition could be completely resolved!"

If not for her fear of Uchiha Jiri reprimanding her or causing unnecessary misunderstandings, she might have blurted out her questions then and there.

Jiri, noticing the silent curiosity, chuckled lightly as she took a sip of tea. "There's nothing I can't say."

"I expected some questions when I came here, so I'm prepared to discuss terms."

With a calm demeanor, she continued, "It's nothing complicated. My son recently had a breakthrough and made some progress in medical techniques and pharmaceuticals."

"He developed a method to replenish and restore one's life essence and vitality."

"And also a way to nurture the eyes and their associated meridians. That's all."

Mito's eyebrow twitched slightly. "…."

Tsunade was speechless, both of them looking at her with expressions that screamed: 'Do we look like fools to you?'

'If you don't want to tell the truth, fine—but at least make up a believable lie!'

However, such details were unimportant.

All they needed to know was that the Uchiha clan genuinely had a way to restore vitality and life force. That alone was enough.

"I'll be direct," Mito said, her tone serious. "Because of sealing the Nine-Tails, my vitality has been constantly draining at an unsustainable rate. If this continues, I'll only have a few years left to live.

"What must I offer in return to obtain this method to restore vitality and life essence?"

Mito had no patience for beating around the bush. She knew trying to outmaneuver Uchiha Jiri was pointless; Jiri wasn't the type to fall for such tactics.

Being straightforward might even leave a better impression.

"As expected of Uzumaki Mito—straightforward!" Jiri smiled appreciatively. "But no need to rush. First, let my son, Kaito, examine you to understand your situation."

Treating the symptoms required understanding the problem first. Only then could they propose a suitable solution.

"Eh?" Mito looked surprised, glancing at Kaito, then back at Jiri. "Are you serious?"

Was she so committed to this fabrication that even she believed it?

Jiri caught the doubt in Mito's expression but didn't explain further. She simply smiled. "Try it, and you'll know."

Mito scrutinized Jiri for several seconds before nodding. "Fine. Let's see how you'll cover this up."

No way could this six-year-old boy, Kaito, really possess such skills, right?

Mito extended her hand toward Kaito. "What do I need to do?"

"Just place your hand on the table." Kaito gestured calmly.

Mito complied, laying her palm on the table before him.

With a composed expression, Kaito placed his fingers on Mito's wrist. Using his intermediate medical expertise, he quickly assessed her condition.

It was straightforward: her excessive life force depletion matched his initial expectations.

Replenishing her lost life force would resolve the issue. However, due to the extent of the loss, she would require a life-replenishing potion for immediate recovery.

That wouldn't address the ongoing drain caused by her sealing the Nine-Tails, though. For that, she'd need periodic doses of supplementary medicine.

"It's clear now," Kaito said, removing his hand. He gave a subtle nod to Jiri.

Then, under Mito and Tsunade's skeptical gazes, he explained, "Your body is in good condition overall, thanks to proper care."

"The issue is simply excessive depletion of your life essence. Taking the life-replenishing potion will fully restore it in one go."

"Of course, age-related life essence loss isn't included in this remedy."

If such losses could be reversed, it would require an immortality potion rather than a life-replenishing one.

"Life-replenishing potion?" Mito and Tsunade echoed in unison, curious.

Mito turned to Jiri. "Is this the same potion you used yourself?"

At this point, Mito was beginning to believe that Kaito might truly have medical expertise.

"Could Jiri's tale about her son's breakthrough actually be true?" Mito wondered, unsure.

Jiri shook her head. "No. My condition was far more complex than yours, so my recovery took over half a month."

She added, "Of course, if the life-replenishing potion had been available back then, my recovery might've been quicker. But slower recovery had its own advantages in my case."

"I see," Mito said, nodding in understanding. Jiri's situation was indeed more intricate.

"So, what must I offer to obtain this potion? Once I take it, will it prevent further excessive depletion of my life essence?"

Before Jiri could answer, Kaito spoke up. "No, it won't prevent future depletion. The potion will only address your current losses.

"Afterward, you'll need occasional doses of a specialized supplement I've developed: nutrient pills."

"These pills are like a vastly enhanced version of military rations pills. They quickly restore stamina, alleviate fatigue, and provide a gentle boost to life force."

"These pills will be available for purchase at our new Uchiha pharmacy. You can get them whenever needed."

With that, Kaito looked at his mother. "Mom, now you can discuss terms."

His job done, Kaito returned to Jiri's side and sat quietly.

Jiri smiled and turned back to Mito. "Three conditions."

"First, from today onward, the Senju clan and Uchiha clan will form an alliance and stand together."

"You've probably noticed that Tobirama's students aren't exactly trustworthy or benevolent. Both the Senju and Uchiha are their targets for suppression or even destruction."

"They're our common enemies."

Mito nodded in agreement. "I can't deny that. I agree to the alliance."

An alliance with the Uchiha couldn't make things worse than they already were. If anything, with Kaito's abilities and the Uchiha's recent reforms, the clan might exceed her expectations in the future.
