Chapter 34: Completely Recovered
Happy New Year
[Bonus chapter for the new year]

"Enough! Nine-Tails, keep quiet!"
"No amount of shouting and whining will change anything. I've completely recovered!"
"For the next few decades, this old lady will continue to keep you company. Aren't you thrilled?"
Uzumaki Mito's spiritual form materialized within the sealing space. She gazed at the Nine-Tails with a faint smile as she spoke.
The Nine-Tails froze, momentarily speechless.
"I can't believe this..."
The next moment, he erupted into a string of curses, furious and vile.
Mito, initially in a good mood, felt her expression darken.
"Shut up!"
With a swift gesture, several golden chains shot forth, wrapping tightly around the Nine-Tails' massive mouth, silencing him completely.
No matter how much he thrashed or struggled, the beast couldn't break free.
Inwardly, the Nine-Tails was on the verge of tears. "She's a demon! This woman is the real demon!"
Once he was subdued, Mito's spiritual form gradually faded from the sealing space.
---
Back in the real world, Mito Uzumaki slowly opened her eyes. She flexed her hands and stretched her body.
She felt amazing.
She even experimented by undoing the Yin Seal's appearance-preserving effect.
The result? She looked slightly more mature, with a refined, elegant demeanor, but no trace of her former frailty or old age.
"Ha! The results are excellent! I'm very satisfied," Mito exclaimed, her face glowing with delight.
Her gaze toward Kaito softened, filled with warmth.
'What a treasure of a boy,' she thought to herself.
"Maybe I should encourage him to spend more time with Kushina?"
"If something comes of it, it wouldn't be a bad thing at all," Mito mused.
And if that happens, getting more Life Elixir in the future would practically be a freebie!
If it weren't for the age gap between Tsunade and Kaito, she might have even considered pushing Tsunade to marry him.
"The Uchiha are so enviable, especially Uchiha Jiri," Mito thought with a hint of jealousy.
---
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the village, Tsunade suddenly felt a chill run down her spine. She glanced around, puzzled. Finding nothing unusual, she dismissed the feeling, though she remained unsettled.
"I feel like something bad is watching me," she muttered to herself.
At the same time, Kushina, who was out shopping with Mikoto, let out several sneezes in quick succession.
"What's going on? Is someone cursing me?" Kushina wondered aloud, looking confused.
"Hey, Kushina, are you okay?" Mikoto asked, concerned.
"Uh... probably fine," Kushina replied, scratching her head. Then, her face turned stern. "It's probably that girly Minato talking smack about me! Hmph! Just wait till school tomorrow—I'll teach him a lesson!"
Nearby, Minato happened to overhear everything. He froze, his face filled with helplessness.
Why does this always happen?
Despite his efforts to be kind to Kushina, his intentions were consistently misinterpreted as malicious.
It's like there's an insurmountable wall between us...
And that wall is called "our completely different worldviews."
---
Back to Uzumaki Mito.
"So, how are you feeling? Fully recovered?" Uchiha Jiri asked when she noticed Mito had opened her eyes.
In truth, Jiri didn't even need to ask. She could sense Mito's overflowing vitality and powerful presence without effort.
Jiri estimated that if she were to fight Mito now, it would be a fifty-fifty match, just because of nine-tails.
"Yes!" Mito confirmed with a nod, her face alight with joy. "I've completely recovered! This elixir is exactly as advertised. Thank you so much!"
"With this, I can live for decades longer!"
Now, she had the time to set everything in order for the Senju and Uzumaki clans. She could also guide Nawaki and Tsunade to full maturity.
"No need to thank me," Jiri said with a light chuckle. "It's just a deal, after all.
"Besides, having you alive benefits the Uchiha even more.
"With you here and the Senju clan standing as a buffer, the pressure on the Uchiha eases considerably."
Thinking about how Sarutobi Hiruzen and the others would remain under Mito's thumb for decades filled Jiri with glee.
"Don't forget, we're allies now! We agreed to stand together," Mito teased. "If there's pressure, we'll share it."
She quickly added, "By the way, I'd prefer if we didn't let the monkeys—Hiruzen and the others—know I've fully recovered just yet.
"Publicly, we can claim that your methods have merely extended my life by a few years.
"That way, they'll still have a glimmer of hope and won't act recklessly out of despair, creating unnecessary problems for us. What do you think?"
It was unwise to corner an opponent completely.
It was better to proceed gradually.
After all, eliminating the Third Hokage and his faction outright would harm Konoha itself.
Moreover, the ninja world wasn't stable at the moment. Another Great Ninja War could erupt at any time.
Mito believed the Senju needed to focus on quietly regaining their strength.
She also wanted to rescue what remained of the Uzumaki clan.
"Agreed," Jiri said after a brief pause. "The Uchiha aren't ready for an open confrontation with them yet. We can afford to wait."
"But you'll need to suppress your life force a bit," she added with a smirk. "Otherwise, who'd believe you haven't fully recovered?"
Mito smiled faintly and placed a hand on her abdomen.
In an instant, her surging vitality was dampened, reduced to roughly double what it had been before her recovery.
"Done! Let's finalize our alliance," Mito suggested. "Even if it's just a formality, it's better to make things official. What do you think?"
Jiri raised an eyebrow but nodded. "Sure."
"Wait here while I prepare the documents," Mito said, standing up. She turned to Tsunade. "Tsunade, keep our guests company."
"Got it!" Tsunade replied.
After Mito left, Tsunade poured fresh tea for Jiri and the others. Then she turned to Kaito with a curious smile.
"Hey, Kaito, can you tell me about your medical techniques? Let's have a discussion."
"Sure," Kaito agreed easily.
As they spoke, Tsunade quickly realized just how exceptional Kaito's skills were.
Minutes into their discussion, she was astonished to find his expertise far exceeded her own.
However, his methods were entirely different from hers and from mainstream ninja medicine.
It felt like an entirely separate medical system.
The more she learned, the more amazed she became.
When Mito returned twenty minutes later, holding the alliance documents, a scroll containing the Flying Thunder God technique, Tobirama's Water Release techniques, and a large scroll brimming with advanced sealing knowledge, she paused at the door.
Tsunade was still engrossed in her conversation with Kaito.
Most of the time, it was Kaito doing the explaining.
Tsunade, listening attentively, marveled at how quickly he absorbed and expanded on ideas.
His learning ability stunned both Tsunade and Mito.
