Leader of Goblin Debauchery: I Can Infinitely Evolve my Artifacts

Chapter 16: Chapter 16- A Battle

'!?'

The young man who held Thalrexia by the hair felt his eyes widen as he watched Keith's body floating just above the hole. One foot hovered an inch above the arrow artifact, its sharp, wooden shaft vibrating slightly as it obediently held his weight.

"You shouldn't have touched her," Keith's voice was ice-cold, his focus razor-sharp as his eyes locked onto the young man still gripping Thalrexia.

There was no hesitation in Keith's mind—he was done. He would end this fight now, and he would make them regret crossing him.

"Y-you—!" The young man's voice trailed off, his shock evident. His eyes widened further as he saw Keith balancing on that small arrow, something that should've been impossible just moments ago.

Only a second before, Keith had been in a position where he couldn't even pull himself up, and now, he was floating above the ground.

Before the young man could say another word, Keith executed a flawless back drift, his body snapping backward with practiced grace.

Swish!

The arrow, once held beneath Keith's foot, shot forward with its own momentum, spiraling toward the young man's face with deadly precision.

The young man's cocky smirk vanished, his eyes shifting from arrogant confidence to raw panic as the arrow rushed toward him.

"Shit!" The young man stumbled backward, his body reacting too late, his feet failing to gain any solid ground.

The arrow was inches away from piercing his skull when a massive green hand shot up. The orc closest to the young man intercepted the projectile with terrifying speed, managing to catch the arrow in his palm.

Skclth!

"Khrieeekkk—!"

The arrow sank deep into the orc's palm, tearing through thick skin with a sickening sound that echoed through the air. The orc grunted in pain, his massive frame stumbling back from the impact, blood spraying from the wound.

Keith, now having landed on the other side of the hole, his body low and tense, calculated his next move. His muscles tightened as he lunged forward, feet pressing into the earth as he pushed himself toward the orc with unnatural speed.

The arrow, still lodged in the orc's hand, snapped back toward Keith, and without missing a beat, he grabbed it mid-air.

"Come back!"

The moment the arrow was back in his hand, Keith surged toward the young man, who had just freed his grip on Thalrexia's hair. His eyes widened in terror as he tried to retreat, but the ground beneath him betrayed him.

He stumbled backward, falling to the dirt, his hands scrambling to protect himself as Keith's shadow loomed over him.

But before Keith could land the killing blow, another orc—a massive, hulking beast—arrived with a roar, swinging a fist at Keith's body.

The punch came fast and heavy, but Keith was faster.

In one fluid motion, Keith placed his left palm against the orc's bulky fist, twisting his own body with inhuman agility. His feet connected with the orc's face in a brutal, bone-crushing kick.

"Lrrhhrk!"

The orc's body whipped backward, his skull rattling from the impact, but Keith wasn't done.

He used the orc's body as leverage, twisting once more, his both hands now planted firmly on orc's hulky muscular arms.

Without hesitation, he swung the arrow in mid-air like a football kick with his feet, and in a single, savage thrust, he drove it deep into the orc's skull.

Sckhlt!

"Rghhh!—THUD!"

The orc's roar turned into a gurgling, choking scream, his body trembling before it crumpled to the ground.

Blood poured from the orc's eye socket as the arrow pierced through his skull, shattering the mass of his brain in an instant.

The beast's body fell with a sickening thud, dead before it even hit the dirt.

Keith didn't stop.

The orc's body hadn't even hit the ground before he was already in motion again, his muscles tensing as he spun toward the young man. The moment he landed on the ground, he swiftly pounced on him.

His body moved like a blur—unstoppable, relentless.

'Come back!'

Keith called out to the arrow once more, and it shot back toward his waiting hand at a speed faster than the eye could follow.

The young man barely had time to react as Keith's arm shot forward, the arrow plunging into his chest with a sickening force.

"AaaaRrrrrGggHhhh!"

The young man's scream was cut short as the arrow embedded itself deep in his chest, the tip piercing his heart. His body went rigid, and his eyes bulged as the blood spilled from his mouth, staining his clothes.

"Kkhhhrkk!" The orc, whose hand had been pierced by an arrow, reacted swiftly when he saw his master under attack. He swung his massive fist towards Keith, but the move didn't go as he intended. Keith, skillfully using his own body weight, yanked the young man forward, positioning him directly between his own body and the orc's swinging fist.

BAM!

"ARRGH—!?" The young man's eyes rolled back, blood splattering as Keith had effectively used him as a shield. The orc's punch struck hard, leaving a testament of its impact — the shape of the fist bulging on the young man's chest.

Without wasting a moment, Keith twisted, yanked the arrow from the young man's side, and delivered a powerful sidekick that sent him airborne, launching him off the ground.

In one fluid motion, Keith drew the arrow back, aiming it straight at the orc.

In midair, he spun with enough momentum, releasing the arrow just as it cut through the air, penetrating the orc's forehead and lodging firmly in place.

The blow was enough to make the orc drop to its knees, its eyes rolling back as the life ebbed away.

Thud

"Haah....haa...You're still alive?" Keith landed softly, eyes darting toward the young man, who should have been gravely injured.

To his surprise, the young man clutched a bottle in hand, pouring its contents over his gaping chest wound.

It dawned on Keith that this bottle was the same artifact the young man had shown him back in town. Without considering the implications, he delivered a swift kick to the young man's head, knocking him out cold.

From his observation, it became clear to Keith that the bottle was some kind of healing artifact, which apparently was keeping the young man on his feet despite his severe injuries.

Turning swiftly, he directed his focus to Thalrexia, whose body lay limp on the ground, her head hanging near the edge of hole. Keith rushed over, kneeling as he lifted her head.

"Hey, wake up! Don't close your eyes!" he urged frantically. As he swiftly leaned to lift her body up, he felt her skin was cold. He could see her face soaked in blood, with eyes wide open and hollow, and her breathing appeared to have stilled.

Quickly, he pressed his ear to her chest, but he heard nothing.

She wasn't breathing, nor was her heartbeat audible, and the coldness of her skin clearly indicated the state of her body.

She was dead.
