**Chapter 3: The Phoenix Town*?

Jasper crouched behind a jagged rock, his entire body trembling with fear. His eyes were glued to the monstrous shadow moving in the cave ahead—a massive blood-red centipede, 18 feet tall and 38 feet long. Its spiked tail gleamed like forged iron, and its segmented body radiated a menacing energy.

Jasper swallowed hard, his throat dry. The creature's slow, guttural growls sent chills down his spine. Fortunately, it didn't seem to notice him hiding in the shadows.

The beast moved sluggishly, its massive form scraping against the cave walls. Jasper dared to take a closer look and noticed the creature was severely injured. Poisonous fluid oozed from deep gashes in its body, and its usually impenetrable shell was fractured in several places, especially around its neck.

Jasper whispered to himself, recalling Aryan's words:

"**Blood Sound Centipede**... one of the most dangerous creatures in the high ranks. It's nearly invincible—except for the soft flesh beneath its shell."

The memory made Jasper's heart race. This was his chance to gain strength—real strength. But doubt gnawed at his mind.

"What if it wakes up? What if I fail?" Jasper murmured, clutching the hilt of the sword Aryan had given him.

He clenched his jaw, forcing himself to focus. "No... I won't stay weak. This is my only chance to prove myself!"

Taking a deep breath, Jasper unsheathed the shimmering sword. The blade gleamed faintly in the dim light, its sharpness promising swift justice. Steeling himself, he crept closer to the centipede's exposed neck.

Jasper's hands trembled, but he tightened his grip. He positioned the sword carefully, aiming for the fractured area. Then, with all his strength—

**Swish!**

The blade sliced clean through the creature's neck.

"**HSSSSS!!!**"

The centipede let out a deafening hiss, thrashing wildly as blood sprayed everywhere. The crimson liquid gushed like a waterfall, staining the rocky floor. Jasper backed away, heart pounding, as the beast's movements slowed and finally stopped. Its massive body disintegrated into glowing particles, leaving behind a faint red energy.

The energy shot into Jasper's forehead like a lightning bolt. He screamed, clutching his head as unbearable pain surged through him. After what felt like an eternity, the pain subsided, replaced by a flood of foreign memories—memories of a powerful sound-based technique.

Jasper stumbled back, panting. "What... just happened? Did I... learn that technique?"

He rubbed his hands together, focusing on the energy coursing through him. Clapping his hands together, he unleashed a devastating soundwave. The shockwave rippled outward, smashing nearby rocks to dust and causing the walls of the cave to crack.

"**BOOM!**"

The entire cave began collapsing. Jasper's eyes widened in alarm. "Oh, come on!" he yelled, sprinting toward the exit as the roof caved in around him.

He burst out of the tunnel just as the entrance crumbled behind him. Gasping for air, he fell to his knees, exhausted.

"Man... that attack was crazy strong," he muttered. "But it drained almost all my energy. I'll need to be careful using it."

Looking back at the destroyed cave, Jasper wiped the sweat from his brow. "Well, at least I survived. But I wonder... what's Aryan up to right now?"

The scene shifted to an open plain with sparse trees. A tall man with white hair and a handsome face strolled casually, his white robe and shiny shoes glowing faintly in the sunlight. He muttered to himself, seemingly lost in thought.

"Manda mushrooms, red ruby mushrooms... Wait, did I miss something?"

Suddenly, a man with long brown hair dashed toward him, shouting at the top of his lungs. "Hey, you! Hand over all your stuff and bow before me! Maybe then I'll let you live!"

The white-haired man stopped and blinked at the newcomer. "Huh? Did you say something? Sorry, I was busy thinking about mushrooms."

The brown-haired man scowled. "Do I look like a joke to you?"

The white-haired man tilted his head, inspecting him. "If I had to judge by your face... yes."

"YOU'RE DEAD!" the brown-haired man roared, drawing a bloodstained card from his pocket.

He pressed his finger to the center of the card, and an orange explosion erupted in front of him. When the smoke cleared, a massive red-and-orange bear stood before him. The creature had enormous horns, rippling muscles, and glowing spiral patterns on its chest.

The bear growled, "Who do I kill next, master?"

The white-haired man yawned. "Oh great, an oversized, smelly bear. Tell me, do you know what 100 + 4 + 9 + 8 equals?"

The bear hesitated. "Uh... 1, 2, 3... uh... 5? No, wait, 8!"

"FOCUS!" the brown-haired man yelled. "Stop falling for his tricks and attack him!"

The bear snarled, charging forward.

The white-haired man sighed. "Not in the mood for this. Okay, whoever moves first is gay."

Both the bear and the brown-haired man froze.

Moments later, the man coughed awkwardly, holding his chest.

The white-haired man smirked. "Guess we found our guy."

"STOP MESSING AROUND!" the brown-haired man screamed, summoning the bear to attack.

The white-haired man pulled out a sky-blue card with ten glowing lines etched into it. Drawing blood from his finger, he pressed the card to the ground. A flash of silver light burst forth, and when the smoke cleared, a majestic silver wolf with ten tails stood beside him.

The wolf's sharp teeth glinted in the sunlight as it let out a thunderous roar. The bear cowered in fear.

The white-haired man grinned. "Looks like your pet's scared. Don't worry—at least he won't wet his pants. Oh wait, he's not wearing any!"

Before the bear could react, the wolf lashed out with one of its tails, sending the creature flying. The bear disintegrated into a red card that fell to the ground.

The brown-haired man stammered, "Who... who are you?"

The white-haired man smiled. "Aryan. People call me many things: Thunder God, Iron Beast... but you can just call me Aryan."

The brown-haired man turned pale and bolted, disappearing in a flash.

Aryan chuckled, dusting off his robe. "Well, that was fun. Now... what was I looking for again? Oh right, mushrooms."

He disappeared in a flash of lightning, leaving the plains silent once more.

And reappeared behind the brown hair man.

He said"you have to accept your punishment bro you make me forget all my mushrooms."

He said mockingly while charging hills left arm air around his left arm shifted to a violent Roar as his arm converted into a white rumbling light'any last wish"

Brown haird man bagged" please don't kill me I will tell you about the phoenix town. It will be great for you please please don't kill me'

Arayan look at him with a curious expression. His eyes narrowing into curiosity. As he speaks in low but managing voice*phoenix town?"
