Love Amidst Vengeance

The following morning, Devin and Jonal returned back to the mansion, Devin went upstairs taking the lift, he entered into a secret room behind the bookshelves the light came on immediately and he took some weapons trying to see which one fit best.

Jonal got to the room and found penny asleep, he admired her back view, and was tempted to cuddle with her, he climbed on the bed and managed a smile remembering when they first met. " you left.." she said not turning to look at him. " without a word, don't you care about me anymore"? she asked.

" you know i do Penny, I care about you alot". He replied. 

"Then why did you leave me alone? you didn't even text me" she complained further.

" I was at the edge of something, I'm sorry" he said.

" Let me guess, you're leaving again right"? she said facing him.

" I'll be back, I promise " he replied and placed a kiss on her forehead. 

" Don't you care about the safety of me and.." She paused not wanting to tell him she was pregnant yet. " Never mind". she added.

" Hey, I love you okay " he said lifting her chin up. 

" No, you don't " She muttered to his hearing.

He stroked her face gently and touched her lips, he felt her responding to his touch and he slowly kissed her, using his arm to pull her close to himself, it seemed her anger slowly melted as she moved into his arm enjoying his warmth, She kissed him more and he didn't hesitate to explore her mouth the more, His fingers trailed down her thigh and went up to her sexy curve ass, he squeezed her ass gently as she moaned to all his touches. Elena arrived at the mansion few hours after Jonah and Devin had left. Penny received her warm-heartedly and helped her settled down, Elena heated the food that penny had prepared and brought it to the dining where Penny was seated.

" So what did he say when you told him about the baby"? Penny asked taking a bite of the chicken on her plate.

" I didn't tell him " Penny replied with a worried face.

"Why not? you know he ain't gonna reject the pregnancy right "? Elena assured.

" I know but the thing is that i ain't sure if he's ready to be a father, the kind of things he's into would put my life and that of the baby's at risk. you know that right "? Penny replied. 

" That's actually true but he needs to know, it's his right " Elena said.

" I'll tell him but not now" Penny said. 

" I'm here for you okay, you ain't need to worry about nothing" Elena said. 

"Thanks dear, i know i can count on you" Penny replied 

" Enough of the talks, eat up if you don't like it, I could fix something else for you "

" No girl,it's fine. at least you did something ". Penny said. 

"I'm sure Jonal would have done more, if only he wasn't busy tracking down his mothers killers".

" I don't want to talk about Jonal, let's talk about you instead. How's Kevin"? Penny asked enjoying her meal.

"Kevin and i are no more" Elena replied dropping her fork.

" Why? what happened? I thought you two were good".

" I don't know how to put this... he said he loves someone else couldn't focus on us, I thought he was joking but...the next morning he was gone" She explained. 

" Oh my god Elena... I'm so sorry. why didn't you tell me".

" It's nothing Penny. it's all good. Let's watch a movie instead and get off all the bad vibe" Elena said and stood up to put on some movie.

Around 12:00 midnight, Elena head a noise, it was like a door was being cracked open. She tip-toed to the window and had a view of the person, she quickly carried penny to the Panic Room not wanting to make her afraid by waking her hope. She dropped Penny's cell phone beside her and went out of the Panic Room making me sure to close it, she managed to get to her hand bag and brought out a gun she loaded it with bullet and got ready. Immediately she sited the first person she shot him in the arm and went into hiding, the noise woke penny up and she panicked, She was sure she was in danger as she realised where she was. She saw her cell phone knowing Elena must have dropped it there.She picked it up and dialed Jonal's number but he wasn't picking.

" Fuck"! she cursed.

The bullet exchange continued and Elena got shot in the process, She had to escape and made her way to the Panic Room. 

" Penny it's Elena " She said lowly and Penny quickly opened up as Elena entered she quickly locked it.

" Holy shit! Elena why.....

" Shh!! keep it low, they're in numbers" Elena said. 

" You're bleeding " Penny muttered in a teary voice.

" Just give me like a scarf to hold it up" Elena said .

Penny removed her top and gave to Elena. 

" No matter what happens. Don't leave this room till morning " Elena warned.

" But you're bleeding " Penny replied. 

" it's not so deep. I'll be fine " Elena assured. 

Penny was so scared, her best friend was shot because of her. She held Elena close to herself.
