Mafia Marriage: Contracted by Mr Phantom

Chapter 3: 3. The divorce

Mafia Marriage

Chapter 3

Camilla was awoken by the voices of people arguing in the dining room. She looked at the time and heaved a sigh—It was already past eleven. She woke up late, unused to the luxury of sleeping in a comfortable bed, but that was partly the reason. Mostly, it was because of him. She took a toothbrush in her room and walked to the bathroom to brush her teeth, but her mouth was painful, and the throat was even worse. She touched it as the last night events flickered on her mind. He was like a beast. He thrusted in her mouth until she couldn't feel it anymore, and as he did that, he kept asking her who was the 'dummy'. If she didn't apologize for her sharp tongue, he was going to choke her to death with his monstrous manhood for sure.

She brushed her teeth slowly, taking care not to hurt herself, and once she was done, she took a quick bath. She growled in frustration as she remembered she had no clothes to wear, so she grabbed her silky towel from the bed to cover herself up, but it smelled of his semen. She rolled her eyes, cursing him under her breath.

Although she was frustrated, she felt a little glad that he didn't take her virginity. She was expecting him to force himself into her like a criminal he is, but it seems he still has a little bit of humanity left in him.

She heard the noise downstairs growing louder, and she recognized the voices as Carlo's and that of a woman. Out of curiosity, she tried opening the door to go and check what was going on, but it was locked. She rolled her eyes and started banging it.

"Open this fucking door right now!"

"I'm sorry, but l was told not to let you out." The guard outside the door responded, but she wasn't ready to just accept that and sit down like a good little girl, so she kept banging it and shouting. "Open this door before l kick it open myself, you goof balls."

Meanwhile in the dining room, Carlos was arguing with his wife, Valentina. The only woman who made him hate all the other females in the world. He doesn't love her. He never did, but he married her anyway. All because of his father and for the leadership of his Mafia organization, The Black Eagles. They are one of the three big Mafia organizations in Columbia, together with the vipers and the scorpion clan. These three organizations are ruled by anonymous participants who make it easier for them to carry out their illegal activities without getting disturbed by the police or any other law enforcement, and they are reffered to as 'The Headquarters'. But of course, below these shadow rulers are the clan leaders who pass down their leadership to their successors, in most cases, their sons or daughters. That is the first rule written in the 'CODE BOOK'— a small pamphlet that carries all the rules for the mafia clans.

The second rule. The one he despised the most: 'To claim leadership of the organization, one must be a worthy married successor.' This rule changed his happy life into a series of recurring nightmares and sleepless nights until he found the strength in his heart to silence the one person who ruined his life, but even so, he didn't feel or enjoy the sweet taste of revenge. What was done was done, and revenging didn't bring back his little piece of happiness that he lost to his hands. He thought that after mercilessly pushing a knife deep inside the heart of the man who birthed him and feeling the warmth of his blood gushing into his hands, he would feel much better, but no. He was wrong. His father was gone, but the deep scar he left in his heart remained behind, a wound that will never heal. It's like a void inside him, constantly draining out every bit of love he had left.

He also inherited a lot of money from him, which not only came with the consequences of the actions he made before he kicked the bucket but also came with a lot of enemies as well. Even at present, one of his father's stupid decisions just can't stop annoying the shit out of him.

"What's wrong with you, Carlos. Did you honestly forget that today is our seventh anniversary? You didn't even call, text, or at least do anything for me!" Valentina bellowed, pointing her fingers at him, while her other hand rested gracefully on her soft full waist.

"Seventh anniversary, huh! Time flies." He muttered, barely glancing up.

"Is that all you have to say for yourself? Can't you at least apologize and try to be romantic?" She bickered, her voice growing louder than necessary which made him clench his jaws.

"Valentina, just get off my neck! I can't be romantic with a woman l don't have the slightest feeling for." He yelled at her, almost losing his composure. The fake smile she's been putting on fades off her face.

"You have to at least pretend to be romantic, Carlos,"She paused and quietly grunted. "For the sake of our fake marriage, and more importantly, for the sake of your POSITION!." She added, raising her voice up again. Carlos closed his ears and cursed, leaving his headphones in his room. Otherwise, he would be using them in a situation like this. Valentina dropped her hand from her waist and folded her arms, staring down at Carlos with an inquisitive gaze.

"Is that why you haven't made love to me for the whole year, Carlos? Because you don't feel me?" She raised an eyebrow, her expression tinged with disgust and her stance like that of a typical wanna-be baddie. Carlos sighed, and before he could respond, Camilla's noise from upstairs made its way to them.

"What's going on up there?"Valentina asked. Carlos just gazed down and cursed that stupid girl in his mind for her inability to shut the fuck up."

"Its nothing you should be concerned of." He callously replied.

She clicked her tongue in frustration and climbed the stairs, swaying her big hips, which were barely covered with a red miniskirt that matched with her over applied red lip gloss.

"Open this door." She barked at the guard who was outside Camilla's room. The poor guy was hesitant to open it, so she snatched the keys from him and opened it herself. Her eyes widened as she saw a girl shorter than her, literally not wearing anything but a towel that wrapped her tiny body.

"Who are you?" She roared.

"And who are you to ask me who I am?" Camilla roared back , her hands on her waist.

Valentina let out a loud, sarcastic laughter. "I see. You're the type that thinks they are rude, huh! Let me show you what l do to girls that lack manners."

She gave Camilla a thunderous slap across her face that caught her off guard, and Camilla instantly retaliated back and pummeled her on the face too— making her chubby cheeks to turn red. Valentina angery threw her whole weight on Camilla, causing her to lose balance and fall down which gave her the opportunity to sit on top of her with her large ass, making it hard for her to fight back or even stand up.

After hearing the commotion getting loud, Carlos galloped upstairs only to find Valentina on top of Camilla, and he pushed her away.

"What's wrong with you? Are you trying to flatten her with your fat body?" He barked at Valentina.

"Did you just call me fat?" She narrowed her eyes inquisitively.

He ignored her and helped Camilla stand up. She clicked her tongue and grabbed him by the collar. "So this girl is the reason why you didn't even remember our anniversary, huh! How long have you been fucking her, Carlos? Tell me. How long?" She tapped her foot on the floor repeatedly.

"You know l hate noise, Val. Can you shut up for a minute!" Carlos bellowed.

"You're not fat, ma'am." Camilla said ironically. "You're just obese."

Valentina gave her a stabbing glance with gritted teeth before glancing back at Carlos."You know what. I've always wanted to divorce you, but my father insisted l stay on the marriage for the sake of maintaining a friendly relationship between our clans, but now I'm tired." She removed the wedding ring on her finger and hit him with it on the face. "Fuck you, Carlos! You'll remember me." Then she looked at Camilla and threatened. "You'll suffer, tiny bitch. Mark my words." Her lips tightened into a thin line as she whipped around, the sound of her heels echoing angrily on the stairs. Carlos just sighed and ignored her.

Three hours after she was gone, a delivery man delivered a file to him, and inside contained divorce papers to sign. He took a pen and signed them, then gave them back to the delivery man without any regrett, although he knew that divorcing her will greatly impact his position and his clan as a whole. Afterward, he removed the million-dollar diamond wedding ring from his finger and threw it away like it was worthless.

Then hurriedly, he walked to his bedroom, rushed to his wardrobe and took out a locked safety box, and unlocked it. lt contained pictures of him seven years ago with a woman he loved. He grabbed another picture of him wearing a black suit and the woman in an elegant white gown and stared at it for a long time. Those were the happiest days. Drops of tears started falling from his eyes to the pictures, making them wet, and he quickly wiped them dry. Why was he getting emotional now. The one thing he vowed never to feel again. Inside his safety box was another small box with a wedding ring inside. Though it wasn't as expensive as the one he wore when he got married to Valentina, this one was his most cherished treasure. He took it and wore it while silently crying.

"I'm sorry, my love, Sarah. I'll never forgive myself for everything, " He sobbed softly until he heard Camilla talking by his door.

"Is everything okay, Mr..."she paused, remembering that he never introduced himself. "Mr. Grumpy!" She added, both hands on her waist.
