Chapter 170: Not Morning
Despite his somewhat muddled expression, Aldric took this as good news. After all, Jenny's mother would determine whether their marriage was easy or difficult.
If she agreed, then things would be easier. At least, he wouldn't find someone who would probably mock him for wanting to eat a beautiful white swan.
Ridicule from others was fine as long as it was not from the mother-in-law.
Even so, Aldric still wasn't sure how to respond to Jenny's message.
In the end, he sent a sweet smile emoji.
(Tomorrow morning, I will pick you up to meet my mom. She wants to meet you and see you in person, you don't mind, right, my dear?)
Jenny sent another message that made him roll his eyes.
He replied, (yes!)
Being called my dear by her, it's hard to disagree.
After that, she sent a smile and love emoji.
He could only smile wryly when he saw that.
Not long after, he finally saw the Heaven Valley City in front of her.
Of course, he didn't enter the city because Anna said she was waiting in her ark not far from the city.
Sparrow was already hiding inside his Space Artifact.
When he passed through the city, he finally saw Anna's ark floating high without moving.
The woman sat on the balcony alone, staring at the approaching ark.
She didn't know that it was his yet and she didn't see him either.
Shua!
The ark disappeared right after he jumped.
His movements were so fast that he only took an instant to land beside Anna.
The woman spontaneously stood up in surprise, probably expecting her to be attacked by an enemy.
However, the one who appeared in front of her turned out to be the young man.
"You surprised me, you know," she said with a sigh.
"Hehehe..." Aldric laughed softly.
He was also not sure why he took such action, perhaps because he wanted to surprise her a little.
"Are we leaving now?" Anna asked him, ignoring his laughter.
"Yes, let's go to the Torgan Tribe... I'm afraid the others have already gone there," Aldric replied.
Anna nodded and then the ark took off at full speed.
The Torgan Tribe's territory still bordered the Eldorn Province and the Morlorn Province. However, it was farther than the Eldoria Province.
They needed to pass through the mountain range that divided the two large territories between the Holy Star Kingdom and the Lordless Territory.
It was territory that did not belong to the kingdom. As the name suggested, there was no absolute ruler in that territory.
Various tribes controlled it based on the power they had where they often fought wars over territory.
"We need about 5 hours," Anna said. "And I think this journey will be safe considering the speed of my ark. Right now, I want to sleep because it's been a while since I've really slept. If you also want to sleep, you can choose a room. For the time being, you can control this ark. I have given you access to give orders."
Aldric was a little surprised to hear her say she wanted to sleep.
However, he himself was not in the mood for sleep. He was enjoying this journey.
In response, he nodded and said, "I will stand guard here, Lady Anna!"
"Good!" Anna also nodded, showing a faint smile before stepping away.
Aldric didn't feel anything was wrong, so he simply watched her go.
She went into a hallway that was rather dark but it was still possible for him to see her from the balcony.
Before going any further, she suddenly stopped, looking back but her face could not be seen clearly.
"Aldric, I usually lose track of time when I fall asleep. Don't forget to wake me up when we reach our destination." Her voice echoed softly from the hallway.
Only then did she resume her steps, disappearing from Aldric's sight.
Hearing her request to be woken up later, Aldric scratched his head.
He then shook his head, leaning against the balcony railing, enjoying the cool breeze while occasionally looking around.
Thinking Anna was asleep, he sent Sparrow out of his Artifact Room.
Rather than being alone, he would rather be with the old man.
Looking at the view leading to the Lordless Territory, he was a bit uncomfortable for a while.
"By the way old man, I want to upgrade my Genesis Core to Level 5 but it's still far away. Can you give me any ideas for my Genesis Core to reach Level 5, at least before I complete my mission? Right, does your tribe have any treasures that can increase my Genesis Core?" Aldric asked him.
For him, the sooner he advanced to Stage 5 the better.
Ever since seeing the real body of the Governor of Eldoria, he had increasingly realized that his strength was far from enough.
He could only be a tyrant in small territories like Eldorn Region or Morlorn Region.
Beyond that, he felt weak again.
Sparrow's eyes flickered a few times at his wish.
It seemed that if not for the fact that he was his slave, he would have scolded him directly.
And because he was his slave, he could not help but think.
Hus brain naturally thought of ways to come up with ideas to level up his boss's Genesis Core.
He occasionally looked around.
"Master, a treasure that can definitely level up the Genesis Core will definitely be used since it was discovered. Even in my tribe, it doesn't exist. This kind of thing we can usually only find in someone who is alone, without a clan or faction, and the treasure is already useless to them because of their higher level. Normally, they would sell such a treasure at a high price. Therefore, I think your only chance is to buy it. It might be very expensive, but you are very rich with the Saliva of the White Sky Birds. You can sell a few pieces to get the treasure." He finally explained his idea.
No matter how he thought about it, he only came up with this one idea.
Even he did not hesitate to say that there were no other ideas.
"Buy it? Where can I buy it?" Aldric asked.
He thought about the Magician Online Marketplace, but immediately thought it would be silly to look for it there.
The problem was that he was already too strong among the players. There probably weren't many players stronger than him. How could such a valuable treasure be sold there. If there were, it would be immediately bought by rich people at a high price.
"Mm..." Sparrow seemed to be thinking again.
This time he narrowed his eyes while staring ahead.
"It can't be searched directly. I need to ask someone," he said.
"Right, if we arrive in my tribe's territory, then it will be easier for me to look for it," he added.
"Looks like I'll have to wait a little longer..." Aldric was a little unhappy but realized there was no quick fix for big things.
"Alright, I'll wait then," he added.
He sat down after saying that while Sparrow looked relaxed to hear he was willing to wait.
An hour later, the ark finally entered the mountain range that separated the two territories.
The mountains were not that big, but they were numerous.
Some of the mountains were surrounded by small villages, but they were also very sparse.
It can be said that this mountain range is a very remote place. This was because without a flying ark, it would take a very long time to cross it.
The number of monsters in the mountains was hard to count. They were too many, consisting of all kinds of monsters.
At first Aldric enjoyed the scenery but then he became bored.
This was because the mountains looked the same everywhere.
Sparrow also said that although this was an area with many monsters, none of the monsters were too powerful.
The amount of treasure there was also not much so it was not a favorite place to adventure.
It's just that, a moment later, he couldn't help but show a strange expression.
In the distance, he suddenly saw the sun starting to rise.
Hadn't it only been a few hours since nightfall, why was it already morning?
"Old man, is there a time difference between the regions?" Aldric couldn't help but ask Sparrow.
However, when he looked at him, he found that he also looked surprised.
"This, this..." He said in a trembling voice.
It was to the point of making his body tremble.
"What's wrong?" Aldric asked with a furrowed forehead, realizing that this was not what he had expected.
"Boss, Master..." The old man began to ramble as he responded.
"It's not the sun, it's someone's power," he said.
"What?"
Aldric was dumbfounded at his answer.
The power of a person?
It was obviously very far away, as far away as the sunrise, how could it be visible up to where they were?
Then how much power was it if it was someone's power?
Governor Eldoria for example, as a Magician King, had a power that could easily destroy his entire city.
However, even his city would only look like a speck of dust no matter how much light it emitted when viewed from such a great distance.
This power was many times far above that of the Governor of Eldoria.
"A Magician Emperor," Sparrow said in a voice that was very low but still clear to Aldric's ears.
Right after that, the light finally disappeared, making the sky ahead dark again so that there was no impression that morning had arrived.
