LIGHTNOVELWORLD Chapter 2: Lila
After coming home and getting a scorn full from my parents for running around barefoot I went back to my room.
Lila a little girl, with a short and skinny body was kneeling in front of me and bandaging my wounds of my feet and giving me a glare one after another.
""Hy hy stop looking at me like that" I smile awkwardly while rubbing behind my neck "I was just angry" I raise my hand with three fingers open "and I swear I didn't do it intentionally"
Lila glares at me "Humph! You are 22 years old but still act like a child" she said while pouting her lips "how can you not remember to wear shoes"
"You are the daughter of a minister but look at you"
"Oh daughter of a minister" I raised my left eyebrows with a bright smile "how does a daughter of a minister act huh"
I am used to Lila's scolding since she is literally like a little sister for me. Lila is the daughter of a maid who works for my mother, my mom likes her mom a lot so even when she gave birth to her, my mom wanted her to stay in the mansion.
Whenever she was busy with my mom I have taken care of her like little sister. Although she never act like this in front of other maids but when we are alone she speaks of her mind.
Suddenly Lila gets up and stand in front of me. straightening her back and lift her chin up mimicking like a nobel lady. She pinch her dress between two fingers and gracefully lifts it up and take smalls steps like a swan. Proudly.
I claps and a chuckle leaves my mouth "yeah yeah Novel lady Lila I understand"
"I will surely try my best to walk like our lady"
Lila's face flushed with embarrassment and she came back and sat on the box like chair, taking my feet in her small hands, she started to bandage my feet again
"My lady" she said with a low voice
"Hm"
"I heard that you are marring that cursed" she paused while her gaze fixed on my feet
I knew well that she was worried about me, No one in this EMPIRE is unaware of the things humans have did to the werewolves and the word marriage is a mere cover for their revenge on me.
"Well it looks like so" I said carelessly shrugging my shoulders a bit
Bubbles of hot tears started to flow out of her eyes as she started to weep loudly like a 3 years old child.
Looking at her face I couldn't control my laughter. "Well well" I get down the bed, squatting on ground I cup her weeping face "Look at our Lila...you are looking so cute" I gave her a smile while wiping her tears with my thumb
She looked at me snorting her runny nose "promise me.....no matter where you go you will take me with you"
I know how sincere her words are but I couldn't shack off the feeling that taking her with me would only make her fall in the darkness with me
I don't even know what those werewolves have planned for me, and taking her with me is like dragging her in my problems. "You don't even know how dangerous it is and you want to go with me"
She looked at me with a confident eyes "No matter what happens, I will follow you to the hell"
Her words drew a smile on my face. Was I scared? Yeah I was. the continuance thought of leaving my loved people behind and sitting between the people who have sharp claws and bloody fangs sends shivers down my spine.
I know that taking Lila with me would bring danger on her life but I want to be selfish for this time.
I hug her, warping my arms around her neck. "Well it's look we are stuck together"
