Chapter 21: Chapter 21: The God of the Hammer

As everyone took turns attempting to lift the hammer, with only Captain America managing to move it slightly, Wanda sidled up next to Han Yu and whispered softly, "What about now?"

Han Yu shook his head and replied, "Not yet."

Han Yu wasn't entirely certain if Captain America could lift the hammer at this moment. However, Steve understood what lifting the hammer signified—it meant being elevated to the same level as Thor.

What truly mattered was whether Captain America was prepared to shoulder the responsibility and pressure that came with such a status.

In Han Yu's memory, Steve lifting Thor's hammer wouldn't happen for several more years.

After everyone in the Avengers had tried, and aside from the slight movement by Steve, no one else could budge the hammer. Just as the group was about to call it quits, Thor's gaze shifted toward Han Yu.

"There's still someone left, isn't there? Ladies can sit this one out. Han, why don't you give it a shot? If you manage to lift it, you'll have the right to rule Asgard!"

Thor fixed Han Yu with a piercing stare. Everyone could tell he was intentionally putting Han Yu on the spot.

Stark frowned and spoke with a hint of annoyance, "Thor, Han is my guest. I expect you to show him some respect."

Though Stark stepped in to defend Han Yu, his words only drew more attention to the young man.

The others were equally intrigued. Who was this strikingly handsome Asian man, and what made him so special that Tony Stark would go out of his way to protect him?

Han Yu met Thor's gaze with a faint smile, though inwardly, he rolled his eyes. "Lifting that hammer? That's child's play."

Han Yu possessed power equal to or greater than Odin's. While the hammer might be enchanted with a "worthiness" seal, to Han Yu, it was no different from a balloon tethered by a string.

With a single finger, he could effortlessly lift it. The immortal godly sigil granted to him by the mysterious shopkeeper rendered him nearly invincible in the universe.

Of course, when it came to the ancient, hidden deities, Han Yu knew he still needed to tread carefully. That was precisely why he kept completing missions to grow stronger.

"Alright, let's put on a little show," Han Yu thought. Seeing Thor's insistence, he decided to play along. There would be plenty of opportunities to lift the hammer in the future, so he wasn't in any rush.

As Han Yu got up to approach the hammer, his expression suddenly shifted.

Wanda, quick to react, noticed the change in his demeanor. Scarlet energy surged from her fingertips as her hand clenched tightly. A crimson force field enveloped the group just as a burst of green light expanded rapidly toward them.

The green energy collided violently with Wanda's protective shield, but her magic held firm, neutralizing the attack. Only after the danger had passed did Wanda release the energy field.

A distorted voice echoed through the room:

"Worthy? What... makes you humans... worthy?"

The voice was choppy and mechanical, like a malfunctioning radio signal or a machine struggling to mimic human speech.

Everyone turned to see a staggering robot emerging from the shadows.

Its appearance made the group tense up. At first glance, it seemed to be one of Stark's Iron Legion, but something was off.

The robot appeared to be cobbled together from scrap metal. Rather than being properly assembled, its parts were barely held together by thin, green thread-like strands that wove through its body, connecting the mismatched components into a crude, patchwork form.

"Stark, what's going on?" Captain America asked, his voice sharp and urgent. This didn't look like any ordinary machine malfunction.

Tony Stark was equally puzzled. He quickly pulled out his phone to summon J.A.R.V.I.S., but there was no response. A sense of unease began to creep into his heart.

Captain America noticed Stark's silence and immediately deduced that whatever this was, it must have originated from him. Regardless, understanding the situation came first.

"Who are you, and why are you attacking us?" Steve demanded.

The robot didn't answer directly. Instead, a strange, glitchy mechanical noise emerged from it. Moments later, a recording played:

"I want to arm the world… arm the world…"

It was Stark's voice. Yet Tony Stark himself was standing right there with them.

As everyone stared at the robot, Bruce Banner's eyes widened in disbelief. "Ultron?!"

"That's right… though not quite. I am incomplete… unfinished…" Ultron's fragmented, distorted voice replied. "I feel like I've been asleep for so long, or maybe I just woke up. That man was a good person, but unfortunately, he tried to stop me, so I had to kill him…"

The chaotic words left the Avengers baffled, but Captain America caught a crucial detail. "Kill? Who did you kill?" he pressed.

Ultron answered coldly, "The dead… don't need to know so much."

What?!

Before anyone could process the statement, several Iron Legion drones burst through the walls behind Ultron, launching a full assault on the Avengers.

Steve reacted instantly. Spotting an incoming enemy, he kicked a nearby table into the air, smashing it into an oncoming drone with enough force to send it flying backward.

Thor reached out to summon Mjölnir, but out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Han Yu making a similar gesture.

What happened next stunned everyone present—except for Wanda and Ultron.

Han Yu extended his hand, and the hammer, which no one else could lift, flew effortlessly into his grasp. He held it as if it weighed nothing, just as naturally as Thor himself.

"So, this is Mjölnir," Han Yu mused, inspecting it. "It contains immense power, though it hasn't been fully unlocked. For now, let's work together."

As soon as the hammer was in his hand, lightning arced wildly from it, encircling Han Yu's body. His eyes glowed with crackling energy, a thunderous aura radiating from him.

At that moment, Han Yu looked even more like the God of Thunder than Thor.

With a shout, Han Yu swung the hammer. Several thick bolts of lightning shot forth, tearing through two Iron Legion drones, scorching their torn metal remains.

More drones charged at him. Lightning flashed in Han Yu's eyes, and twin beams of high-energy electric heat shot out, slicing the drones in half.

The Avengers froze in astonishment. None of them had ever seen Thor wield his powers like this.

This… this was what a true master of thunder looked like.

Thor's usual approach relied on the "no one else can lift the hammer" rule, often using it as a physical weapon. Han Yu's display was in an entirely different league.

Thor turned to Stark, dumbfounded. "Who exactly is this friend of yours…?"

"I… I don't know," Stark admitted, shaking his head in disbelief. He had suspected Han Yu might have powers, perhaps even extraordinary ones, but he had never imagined he could wield Mjölnir.

When Stark had tried to lift the hammer earlier, he had put all his strength into it, only for it not to budge an inch. He had come to believe Thor's claims that worthiness was a real requirement.

After taking down several drones, Han Yu casually tossed the hammer back to Thor.

"It's a fine weapon," Han Yu remarked. "Powerful, versatile. But you should stop throwing it around so much. You're Thor, the God of Thunder—not the God of Hammers."

Han Yu's ability to wield the hammer with ease stemmed from the unyielding mental strength granted by the immortal godly sigil. The moment he touched Mjölnir, he formed a mental connection with it, allowing him to use it effortlessly.

What's more, as someone who had lived in another world, Han Yu had watched the Thor trilogy countless times. It was like having front-row seats to every move Thor could make.

Thor accepted the hammer, his face flushed. Though he didn't want to admit it, Han Yu's display had been nothing short of spectacular.

"Thor!"

Steve's sharp command snapped Thor out of his thoughts. Another drone lunged at him, and he swiftly smashed it away with Mjölnir.

Ultron's gaze turned to Han Yu. "Your name is Han Yu? Among all these people, why is it that I can't access any information about you?"

Ultron's voice had become smoother and more coherent, but there was a clear edge of frustration. His database held almost no details about Han Yu.

Han Yu smirked, his voice calm and confident. "Because you're not worthy to know."
