Marvel: Beginning with the Collection of Shinra Tensei

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: The Right to Use Vibranium

This was a clash between two sides: one representing invaders from beyond, and the other, the familiar warriors of Wakanda.

Standing at the forefront of Wakanda's side was T'Challa. Dressed in his Black Panther suit, he no longer bore the look of a young, battle-hungry man. Instead, he exuded the calm and composure of a leader.

As the two sides engaged in battle, the scene shifted rapidly. In the next moment, an image appeared—T'Challa being reduced to ash.

The vision ended abruptly, and T'Chaka found himself back in the Wakandan throne room.

The sudden return to reality startled T'Chaka. He glanced around to confirm that he was indeed back in Wakanda. Ignoring the concerned inquiries of those around him, he turned to Han Yu and asked, "What was it that you just showed me?"

Han Yu smiled faintly. "The future."

What Han Yu had done was use the Green Lantern's energy to project a vivid reenactment of the events of Avengers: Infinity War from his own memory.

T'Chaka paused in thought before turning to his guards. "Take T'Challa to rest. I wish to speak with him privately."

"But..."

One of the guards hesitated, but a sharp look from T'Chaka silenced any objections. The guards carried the unconscious T'Challa away, leaving T'Chaka alone with Han Yu and Wanda.

"How far into the future is what you showed me?"

T'Chaka stepped closer to Han Yu as he spoke.

After a moment of contemplation, Han Yu replied, "At most, five years."

The future T'Chaka referred to was the Infinity War that would culminate in Avengers: Endgame, which Han Yu knew from his previous life was only about five years away. However, Han Yu also suspected that his presence in this world might accelerate the timeline, as the events were no longer confined to a pre-written script but existed in a living, breathing reality.

"How can I be certain you have the power to protect my nation?"

It was evident that T'Chaka was starting to believe Han Yu. The images in his mind were devastating, portraying a level of war that Earth's current technology could not hope to counter. Wakanda would need extraordinary power—greater even than that of the Avengers. T'Chaka thought that the young man before him might possess what was needed but wanted confirmation.

"This should suffice."

Han Yu smiled calmly. The next moment, an immense surge of emerald-green energy erupted from his body like a tempest. The throne room trembled, the very air vibrating as though on the verge of collapse.

The overwhelming energy display lasted less than ten seconds before Han Yu retracted it. He stood there, his expression serene, as if nothing had happened.

Gritting his teeth, T'Chaka finally said, "Very well. I agree to your terms. But you must promise to help Wakanda survive this coming catastrophe!"

Han Yu chuckled. "I promise."

This promise, while significant, was ultimately intangible—a verbal agreement with no binding contract.

The reason T'Chaka accepted this arrangement was simple: any formal agreement would be meaningless. Based on the power Han Yu had just demonstrated, T'Chaka was convinced that if Han Yu truly intended to take the vibranium by force, Wakanda might not be able to stop him.

Han Yu's abilities were beyond comprehension, far surpassing the limits of Wakandan science. While Wakanda's technology was unparalleled on Earth, Han Yu's power was of a cosmic scale. If he had chosen to take vibranium by force, it would have been as effortless as snapping his fingers.

This alone demonstrated Han Yu's sincerity. T'Chaka had no reason to refuse unless he was confident Wakanda could face the infinite war looming five years ahead.

T'Chaka was no fool. The absence of his presence in the future vision suggested two possibilities: either he was occupied elsewhere, or he had already perished.

Observing the subtle changes in T'Chaka's expression, Han Yu's lips curved slightly. He knew the king had made his decision because a calm, mechanical voice echoed in his mind.

"Ding! New item from the Marvel Universe detected: 'Vibranium' usage rights (indefinite). Reward obtained: 30 upgrade points!"

Han Yu knew that the system's prompt wouldn't have appeared if T'Chaka hadn't truly agreed.

"King T'Chaka, as part of our exchange, this is for you."

Han Yu raised his hand and spread his fingers. From each of his five fingertips, strands of emerald energy began to flow. Within less than half a minute, the energy coalesced into the shape of a ring. Under Han Yu's control, the ring floated gracefully toward T'Chaka.

The godlike method of delivering the item startled T'Chaka. He instinctively reached out and carefully caught the glowing green ring in his hand.

"What is thi—?" T'Chaka began to ask but abruptly stopped. "Hmm? Where did they go?"

Staring at the emerald-green ring resting quietly in his palm, T'Chaka looked up, only to find that Han Yu and Wanda had vanished.

T'Chaka hurried to the spot where Han Yu had stood moments before, scanning his surroundings, but there was no trace of them. They were gone.

Han Yu had left without bothering to explain. After all, if people like Stark and Banner could discern the energy levels contained within the ring, Wakandan technology should undoubtedly be capable of the same.

It wouldn't take long, Han Yu thought, for this ring to replace Wakanda's current vibranium-based energy sources, likely becoming the cornerstone of the nation's defensive systems. To others, it would appear as an inexhaustible energy source—a miraculous artifact.

And as long as Han Yu lived, the energy from that ring would indeed never run out.

Back at the general store, Han Yu turned to Wanda and said, "I might sleep in the workshop tonight. You don't need to wait up for me—just go to bed."

Noticing Han Yu's slightly weary demeanor, Wanda nodded obediently. She reminded him not to overwork himself, kissed him gently on the cheek, and headed upstairs to rest.

Han Yu touched the warm spot on his cheek, smiled, and then quickly made his way to the workshop. When he opened the door, he was greeted by an unexpected sight.

"Eitri? What brings you here? Is something wrong?"

Standing before him was Eitri, the leader of the Dwarves and one of the most skilled blacksmiths in the Marvel Universe. Renowned for forging some of the greatest weapons in existence—including Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, and Odin's spear, Gungnir—Eitri's craftsmanship was unparalleled.

Even Odin himself would treat Eitri with respect, for his creations were unique masterpieces of cosmic power.

"Do I need a reason to visit?" Eitri replied with a chuckle as he approached Han Yu. Eitri was one of the few people Han Yu allowed to enter his workshop uninvited.

Despite being a Dwarf, Eitri stood an imposing 5.4 meters tall. However, the proportions of Dwarves were distinct, making them appear like enlarged versions of their smaller counterparts to ordinary humans.

"Of course not. You're always welcome here," Han Yu said with a smile as he walked over to the planetary furnace. He turned it on, and the flames roared to life.

If Peter Parker were present, he would have been astonished by the intensity of the heat—far beyond what Han Yu had casually demonstrated to him before. The surrounding air shimmered and distorted from the sheer temperature of the flames.
