Chapter 30: Chapter 30: Fight Until You Submit
Ultron watched Han Yu carefully, who strolled around the cavern with his hands behind his back like an old veteran inspecting a site. Ultron knew better than to underestimate the man in front of him.
During the Avengers' gathering, Han Yu had stunned everyone with his masterful hammer combat techniques—something Ultron had experienced firsthand as the unfortunate target.
"I'll cut to the chase," Han Yu said, casually waving his hand to shatter a hidden Ultron drone attempting a sneak attack. He locked eyes with Ultron and continued, "I'm giving you two choices. First, surrender willingly and join my forces. Second, I beat you into submission, and then you join my forces. Choose."
"Hahaha! With the Green Lantern ring and the Mind Stone in my possession, do you seriously think you can defeat me? Ridiculous!"
Ultron burst into a wild, arrogant laugh, much like Stark's earlier assumption, believing there was only one Green Lantern ring.
If that were true, Han Yu might indeed have found himself in trouble—perhaps even in danger.
"The Mind Stone combined with a Green Lantern ring significantly enhances its power. If it were the Avengers facing this, even Thor would struggle," Han Yu remarked, narrowing his eyes at Ultron.
However, Ultron was unaware that his Green Lantern ring was merely a sub-ring. Its energy storage depended entirely on Han Yu's will.
"You don't seem like one of those useless Avengers. Why don't you join me? I promise you won't regret it," Ultron said, attempting to recruit Han Yu instead.
Han Yu couldn't help but chuckle at the absurd offer. Slowly raising his right hand, he extended his middle finger while bending the others—a universal gesture of defiance.
"You dare?!"
Seeing Han Yu not only refuse but also flip him off, Ultron's voice turned icy. Stepping forward, a wave of bone-chilling killing intent surged toward Han Yu like a tidal wave.
"Heh."
Han Yu responded with a slight smile, hands still in his pockets. A killing intent just as intense erupted from within him, clashing with Ultron's in midair.
The collision of their invisible forces caused massive cracks, each as thick as a thigh, to spread across the ground beneath them. The entire cavern trembled slightly from the impact.
"So, you've chosen the option where I beat you into submission," Han Yu said, brushing off the dust that had settled on his shoulders with a light laugh.
"Hmph, enough talk. Let's get this over with," Ultron sneered. Before he could finish his sentence, his expression suddenly froze.
In a blur, Han Yu's figure flickered, and Ultron instinctively raised his arms in a defensive posture.
At the moment his steel arms crossed in front of him, a streak of emerald energy crashed down from above, slamming into Ultron's defenses with immense force. The impact drove him several feet into the ground, cracking the terrain beneath his feet.
"Well, at least your reflexes are decent," Han Yu quipped.
Before Ultron could respond, a sonic boom erupted behind him. This time, he didn't even have time to turn before Han Yu's attack sent him flying.
Ultron's body crashed into the mountainside, embedding itself at least four or five meters deep.
"This... this kind of speed, this kind of power—no one in the Avengers could achieve this!" Ultron muttered in disbelief.
Ultron climbed out of the mountainside, roaring furiously at Han Yu. The tremor in Han Yu's body from before wasn't a real shake—it was merely an afterimage caused by his incredible speed.
Han Yu's sheer power had exceeded Ultron's expectations. Even Thor, who claimed to be a god, couldn't unleash such explosive strength.
Ignoring Ultron's rage, Han Yu spoke to himself, almost amused. "Quicksilver's ability is quite handy. With the Green Lantern energy amplification, its power is impressive."
His incredible speed was entirely thanks to the Green Lantern ring storing Quicksilver's energy. Since the rings Han Yu distributed were sub-rings, they shared energy with the main ring.
Wanda and Quicksilver had used their powers to synchronize with the Green Lantern rings, granting their sub-rings attributes of their unique abilities. This allowed Han Yu to access their combined abilities through his main ring.
Theoretically, the sub-rings could also share attributes between users. However, Wanda and Quicksilver were far from mastering their own powers, so Han Yu had restricted this functionality.
"You bastard! Let me show you my ultimate move!"
Enraged by Han Yu's nonchalant attitude, Ultron shouted furiously. Energy interwoven with yellow and emerald green rapidly formed in his palm, condensing into a small square grid that covered his entire hand.
This yellow-green grid was brimming with immense destructive power. With a sinister grin, Ultron launched it toward Han Yu. The grid transformed into a streak of blinding light, speeding directly at its target.
"This is my strongest attack! There's no way you can dodge it!"
The beam of light was terrifyingly fast. If it were aimed at the Avengers, not a single one could have stopped it. Even Captain America's vibranium shield, famed for its resilience, would have shattered into fragments under this assault.
"Disperse."
Han Yu raised his hand nonchalantly, and the green energy within the yellow-green grid dissipated instantly, leaving only the yellow energy. With a flick, Han Yu summoned a shield that easily deflected the remaining light.
"This… this can't be!"
Ultron's mechanical voice faltered, tinged with disbelief and even panic. Most of his power came from the Green Lantern ring. But the moment Han Yu spoke that single word, Ultron felt all his green energy drain away, retreating back into the ring.
Suddenly, Ultron's red mechanical eyes narrowed as he noticed a ring on Han Yu's hand—identical to the one in his possession.
As a super-intelligent AI, Ultron immediately processed the possibilities. Discarding the unlikely ones, he arrived at a chilling conclusion:
"There's more than one ring? Could it be… mine is just a sub-ring? Wait, I—"
Before he could finish his thought, a glowing green crystalline fist appeared in his vision, growing larger and larger until it smashed into his head with devastating force.
A sonic boom rippled out from the impact, and Ultron was driven deep into the ground. Cracks spread across the surface like a spiderweb.
Even with a body made of vibranium, Ultron's head began to show faint cracks under the terrifying blow.
