Arthur's mind expanded back into his body, and after returning to his main focus, he tidied up the sea of books surrounding him. He activated the acceleration and took a few steps, nodding to himself. "I am definitely faster than before."

Without overthinking it, he started tapping on the books, squeezing them, and tapping some more.

After a good amount of time, having absorbed about three hundred books on acceleration, he received an upgrade notification.

The remaining 170 books or so were converted into 17 **Intermediate Acceleration** books.

After absorbing them all, Arthur immediately felt the colorless energy filling his legs. With a slight movement, he was already at the door.

But in that same moment, the colorless energy quickly depleted!

"Wow!" 

Arthur was stunned as he thought to himself. "That energy drains way too fast! Could it be that the rate of consumption is proportional to my current speed?"

After a quick analysis, he realized that it wasn't exactly proportional.

In fact, the colorless energy was draining much faster than his speed was increasing.

"This is a bit inconvenient..." 

Arthur scratched his head as he thought. "This skill... is kind of useless."

When it comes to speed, what can compare to instant teleportation? 

And since the acceleration used up the colorless energy so quickly, it clearly wasn't practical for long-term use during a fight, which made it even less attractive.

He sighed, but he wasn't too disappointed.

After all, life isn't a perfectly rehearsed play where everything that appears is as useful as one imagines.

Luckily, Arthur also got more than a hundred books on **Beginner's Steel Body** and more than seven hundred small crystals.

So he spent the rest of the day at home absorbing the books.

The highlight of the day was that his Steel Body skill had finally reached the Intermediate level.

Arthur felt the **Intermediate Steel Body**, and with a single thought, a faint golden protective aura formed around him.

At the same time, his muscles and bones were strengthened to an incomparable degree, to the point where… he almost shouted out that he was invincible again.

"Whoa…" 

Arthur glanced at the faint golden shield around his body and blinked. "Why does this look so familiar?"

He tried to move around and noticed that while the Beginner's Steel Body effect was still on him, the golden aura… stayed in place!

"A thought shield?"

Arthur blinked and focused inward, observing the flow of colorless energy in his body.

He noticed that the 'large stars' inside him were emitting a unique pulse. This pulse caused the colorless energy to circulate in a specific way, which was exactly how **Beginner's Steel Body** operated.

"So, it's the pulse that's the core of everything."

Arthur pondered this as he returned to his body and deactivated the Beginner's Steel Body. However, the thought shield remained in place.

A moment later, it finally dissipated.

Arthur quickly summoned another one and started timing it.

The shield lasted for five minutes, and the colorless energy consumption was within a manageable range.

If he didn't account for the regeneration of colorless energy, he estimated that he could maintain about a hundred shields in total... But considering the energy recovery rate, the regeneration perfectly balanced out the consumption.

Of course, during combat, it wouldn't be feasible to constantly deploy the shield, so when factoring in other energy expenditures, it was clear that the recovery speed wouldn't keep up.

"Even so, this skill is insanely powerful." 

Arthur blinked. But there was still one question. He poked the thought shield and realized it was intangible.

However, it was clear that the shield wasn't just for show— it simply wasn't defensive against himself. The real question was, **how strong was this shield's defense?**

"Later, I can go to Tony's and find a place to test it out."

Arthur kept this in mind.

He then brought out all the small crystals— over seven hundred of them! 

Arthur felt an inexplicable urge to cry as he looked at these crystals. Although the results were substantial, the quantity was overwhelming! 

After processing all the crystals, he wondered if his hands would still be usable.

For the entire afternoon, Arthur did nothing but handle the small crystals. To an outsider, it would look like he was sitting on his bed, constantly pinching with his fingers— pinch… pinch… pinch!

The effect was almost like he was obsessed.

But despite the repetitive task, Arthur persevered, feeling the power of each small crystal entering his body and merging with it.

During moments of boredom, he would also immerse his mind in his body, observing the changes in the 'large stars' inside.

He discovered that after processing a hundred small crystals, a new 'large star' would form in his body.

Once a new large star was formed, the energy gained from additional small crystals would spread throughout his body until it was sufficient to form another large star.

The large star was crucial as it was the foundation for the automatic recovery of colorless energy.

Before, when there were no large stars, how did the colorless energy recover? 

Arthur pondered this question but didn't find an answer.

After finishing all the small crystals, Arthur extracted the mixed soul crystal.

This item was intriguing and different from all previous Battle Souls.

It was labeled as 'Soul Crystal' rather than Battle Soul.

Unlike Battle Souls, which resembled misty fog, this one was a hexagonal star-shaped crystal.

Held in the palm, it floated automatically, and different scenes flashed on each facet.

"If it showed faces wailing in agony, the overall look would be quite eerie," 

Arthur thought of this suddenly, though he didn't know why.

After considering it, Arthur decided to put the crystal away. He had a premonition that if he processed it now, it would lead to awkward situations in the future. He wasn't sure where this feeling came from, perhaps this was a kind of reminder from the Disassembler? 

Just like the Pen of Thoth!

Although the major gain was the 'Acceleration' skill, which seemed less useful, the Beginner's Steel Body and the small crystals were quite valuable.

Arthur thought he should be satisfied with what he had achieved.

Checking the time, he realized it was getting late.

Three days had passed since he last called Hulk. They had agreed to call Hulk every three days to avoid accidental overuse.

Tonight would be the perfect time to call Hulk again.

Arthur had already prepared several 'toys' in the Disassembler: "I hope Hulk will like them."

He felt oddly like a parent about to check on their child tonight.
