Chapter 206: MD-Chapter 205 Banner's Confidence
Maybe it was because of Arthur's words, but Hulk landed, looking confused as he stared at Arthur. He was still holding the black-clad man but didn't smash him into the ground like he had planned to.
Arthur breathed a sigh of relief and glanced in the direction of the convoy.
It was complete chaos over there!
The ground was littered with car wreckage and people rolling around in pain.
Arthur turned his attention back to Hulk, smiling as he said, "Come on, hand him over."
He reached out his hand.
Hulk, however, swung the man behind his back and took two steps back, clearly indicating he wasn't giving him up.
Arthur nearly choked in frustration. Scratching his head, he said, "That's not a toy..."
Hulk shook his head vigorously, then brought the black-clad man in front of him and swung him violently in the air twice. The man, who was reaching for his gun, felt his brain nearly rattle out of his skull, and he was instantly dazed.
After shaking him, Hulk hid the man behind his back again.
Arthur thought for a moment before speaking. "How about we trade?"
He blinked several times, teleporting to the wreckage of the convoy, grabbed one of the survivors, and teleported back to Hulk. Holding the man up, he pointed to the black-clad man in Hulk's hand and then to the one he was holding. "How about I give you this one, and you give me that one?"
Hulk hesitated, then shook his large head twice and continued to swing the black-clad man like a kite in the wind.
"Take it easy, take it easy..." Arthur quickly said. "How about this? I'll trade you a living person."
Arthur had plenty of prisoners from the Freedom Fighters Terrorist that kidnapped Tony stashed in his Disassemble space. He hadn't used them yet, but now seemed like the right time to bring one out for the exchange.
These freedom fighters, who had been stored for nearly a year, were immediately overwhelmed by nausea the moment they were released.
Hulk looked at them in disgust, taking two steps back and shaking his hand again...
The black-clad man's spirit was completely crushed.
*Could you guys at least stop swinging me while negotiating!?*
His arms and legs had gone limp, and if this kept up, he was going to lose the last of his strength to resist.
At that moment, Arthur suddenly pulled out a blue, chubby figure. "Look at this!"
Hulk turned his head and froze, visibly intrigued by the color of the figure's skin.
Jeff, the blue chubby guy, looked around dazed, and when he saw Hulk— a massive green figure leaning in close with curiosity— he didn't even make a sound. He just fainted on the spot.
"Hahaha!"
Hulk suddenly burst out laughing, pointing at the blue figure, mimicking the fainting motion, and patting his belly while laughing uncontrollably.
Caught up in his excitement, Hulk grabbed the black-clad man and slammed him into the ground.
The impact caused the man to cough up blood, while his mind filled with countless curses.
Arthur winced in sympathy, but as Hulk's mood improved, he started shrinking back down to his regular size.
Before long, Banner stood there shirtless, looking around in confusion. "What just happened here? Did those guys call the cops?"
"It was worse than calling the cops."
Arthur put Jeff away and approached Banner, before going down to check on the black-clad man. "Well, it's pretty clear— you knocked him out."
"That wasn't me. That was Hulk," Banner insisted.
Arthur glanced at Banner, then casually stored the black-clad man into his Disassemble space and brought the car back out. "Get in the car and change your pants first."
Banner went to the car to change his pants, and Arthur, now holding a handgun, returned to the chaotic battlefield.
Some of the survivors who hadn't died yet tried to crawl away but upon seeing Arthur approach, they shot themselves in the temple without hesitation.
"Such determination?"
Arthur was taken aback. Previously, these people would use poison to commit suicide, but now they were using guns.
Indeed, their methods of suicide had evolved.
In fact, it was possible to capture a few alive before they shot themselves. However, at the moment, Arthur didn't need any prisoners…
So, Arthur shot each of them dead, ending their lives to "save them the trouble."
After finishing, Arthur got back into the car. Banner glanced at him and then at the scene of destruction. "Tony is definitely going to go crazy."
"There are more things that will drive him crazy coming up."
Arthur let out a sigh and said, "I'll give Tony a perfect explanation for the black-clad man later. For now, let's not mention it to him."
"What happened?"
Banner looked at Arthur. "Does this relate to our team? Do we have enemies now?"
"It's a problem with other members," Arthur said. "I'll resolve it as soon as possible."
"If you need my help, just ask." Banner said earnestly.
Arthur smiled. "There will be a time for you to show your skills, but for now, I'm looking forward to interacting more with Hulk. Can't you sense him yourself?"
"I can sense him… but he doesn't like me." Banner said awkwardly, "It might be because I've always wanted to kill him."
Arthur blinked. "So, we should change our approach with him. You know? He will listen, even though he can be a bit temperamental. I asked him not to kill today, and he listened."
"Really?"
Banner seemed surprised. "Can you tell me what happened?"
Arthur explained the situation at the crucial moment and mentioned the exchange of 'toys' with Banner.
"This kid's interests are becoming twisted. How can he like… playing with people? You should help him develop different hobbies."
"Why do you sound like a worried parent?"
Arthur raised an eyebrow and said, "Don't worry, I'll make sure Hulk develops in all aspects and becomes a good kid who helps old ladies cross the street."
Banner nodded in satisfaction. "You know, this actually seems effective? It's incredible. I think I should investigate related knowledge as well. Maybe in the future, I can really establish some degree of connection with Hulk? Even though it feels a bit awkward, if we can get along peacefully, it would be a great outcome for me."
Arthur started the car and, while chatting with Banner, drove back to Banner's place.
Banner left in high spirits, saying he was going to research some information on infant behavior...
Arthur could only wish him success. After Banner left, he looked at the pair of pants Banner had left behind, raised an eyebrow, and dialed a number on his communicator.
