Marvel: The Chaos Witch

...…..Until now.

Activating his probability power, he focused on the talent of the scientist he was calculating and with a hopeful mindset sent his query to his power. Instinctively he received a reply that caused him to smile.

'Here we go'

This time Adam felt an immense amount of pain but not in his body. No it was much deeper than that. It felt more like….his soul. It was a pain on an entirely different level from physical pain and it made him want to rip his own heart out and end his own life but he held on. Eventually darkness consumed him as he passed out.

Adam woke up to find that two days had passed. Shocked, he glanced around himself to find that everyone around him was still passed out. He slowly stood up feeling surprisingly refreshed. However he couldn't yet be sure whether his talent had increased and so as a test he went through the memories of one of the scientist since he started learning about the sciences. He was shocked to find that concepts that had seemed like ramblings or mythical words suddenly started to make sense. As he went through the scientist's entire educational journey: primary school, high school, university, job placement until being hired to work in this hidden facility. His knowledge and understanding of the various sciences increased rapidly with none more so than anatomy and genetics until finally he was done. With his current knowledge and understanding Adam could now say that he was an expert on anatomy and genetics. Even now as he looked at the study notes of the various mutants, he could actually understand what they were talking about.

Since he couldn't let the mutants or scientists die, Adam teleported away appearing in an alleyway near a large supermarket he knew and visited in New York. Using his stolen money and a bit of mental manipulation, Adam was able to purchase a large amount of food and water which after having the store carefully box up in the back of the store. He teleported multiple times to and from the restaurant with each journey delivering the boxes of food and water back to the hidden base. Waking up a few of the mutants with useless powers, he had them feed the rest of the mutants both in the lab and in their holding cells as well as scientists present as he couldn't be bothered to do it himself.

Complying out of fear of his incredible power, the mutants did as he asked. Finally when everyone had been supplied with food and water, Adam made the servant mutants to fall unconscious and more grabbed another scientist. Proceeding to do the same procedure. He repeated this entire process cycle for ten days which was the amount of time it took for him to completely finish absorbing the scientists' talents and reading and understanding all of their memories and knowledge. With the reinforcement of his talents multiple times, Adam could now confidently hypothesize that his IQ had greatly increased and that he was now one of the world's best scientists in the field of Anatomy and Genetics.

'It's been around two weeks so far since I began my plan. I should check in on Wanda just to be safe.' Thought Adam as he teleported out of the hidden base to a far off distance where reception was available and called Wanda using his mobile phone. The call rang however it went completely unanswered. He tried dialling her multiple times but even then the calls went unanswered until finally his call was received.

"Hello Wanda?"

A completely different voice answered "No. This isn't Wanda, Mr Adam. This is Agent Mary Hill of SHIELD. How can I help you?"

"Agent Hill. Where is Wanda?" asked Adam his eyes growing colder by the second.

"Wanda is currently under lockdown for events that are currently classified to the general public Mr Adam. I'm afraid I cannot tell you where she is"

"What?..." said Adam as he clenched his fists in rage. He had been sure that Wanda would be safe as he had told her to sign the Sokovia Accords as was to happen in the original Plot of Captain. America Civil War and hence hence he was sure that she wouldn't be mistreated like the rest of the rebels and yet they were saying that she was under lockdown which was a polite way of saying that she was imprisoned.

'Have they found out that she no longer has powers allowing them to take advantage of her and have her imprisoned?'

The very thought of it sent a bout of rage within Adam's soul. He knew that people in power were cruel but he hadn't expected this.

"I see. Thank you for the information" coldly said Adam as he ended the call. he could no longer sit around. He had to find Wanda. Thinking of the SHIELD Base he had once seen in Washington DC while visiting the city, Adam activated his teleportation powers.

It was currently noon in Washington. The sky was clear and the sun was shining brightly. Agents were going on about in their day to day business when suddenly at the end of a bridge leading to SHIELD, Adam appeared silently. He gazed across the bridge where he spotted the SHIELD headquarters. With another mental command, he teleported right to the front of the SHIELD building where he levitated using his Chaos magic.

Some of the agents going about their daily activities noticed Adam floating a few meters above the ground right in front of their building, having appeared all of a sudden, and sounded the alarm.

INTRUDER ALERT!! INTRUDER ALERT!!

Sirens blared within SHIELD's headquarters sounding out an alarm that alerted every person within the building from the highest of agents to the janitors. Not that Adam cared. With a wave of his hand, the windows in front of him shattered creating a space that allowed hi entry into the building. He was immediately met by agents on both end of the hallway he was currently in. All armed to the teeth with guns and rifles.
