Chapter 25: Chapter 25: The Mechanical Ape Awakens
"Ravion, are you okay?" Reina rushed to Ravion's side, her voice trembling with worry. She stared at Ravion's broken mechanical arm and sunken chest, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Don't worry, Reina," Ravion replied with a reassuring smile. "I'm fine. Watch this."
With a crackling sound, Ravion's chest pushed back into shape, and the scattered fragments of his arm responded to his control. The debris quickly reassembled into an intact mechanical arm.
Reina let out a sigh of relief, her tears giving way to a smile. She threw herself into Ravion's arms, her worries momentarily forgotten.

Meanwhile, Daredevil, standing off to the side, muttered to Mystique, "I feel like John is planning something... and it's not good news for Gambit."
Mystique smirked. "No, he's just... interested in Gambit."
"Interested? In what way?" Gambit asked, his expression shifting to one of mild alarm. "You mean, he's interested?"
Mystique rolled her eyes. "Not like that, you idiot. He's interested in your mutant ability."
Gambit's face twisted in confusion. "You're saying he wants to... take it?"
"Not quite," Mystique clarified. "John doesn't take powers—he copies them. But for that, he'd need a sample of your DNA—a strand of hair, a piece of skin... something like that."
Gambit crossed his arms defensively. "So you're saying I should just hand over a few hairs and ask him not to take my kidneys?"
Mystique shot him an exasperated look, her gaze briefly flicking downward before smirking. "Hehe... men."
Susan Storm, standing nearby, rolled her eyes. "Seriously, can we focus on the battle instead of your paranoia?"
Sebastian Shaw, the Hellfire Club's Black King, observed the interaction from a distance, his expression calm but calculating. He wasn't surprised that Ravion had recovered so quickly. Instead, his focus shifted to John, whose potential seemed boundless.
"It's pointless for us to fight until we're both weakened," Sebastian said, his voice cold and calculating.
John, unfazed, kept his gaze locked on the Black King. He spoke telepathically to Ravion: "Be ready to pull us out at a moment's notice. Sebastian's power is stronger than I anticipated."
Ravion gave a subtle nod, but his focus remained on Sebastian and the advancing Hellfire Club members.
Sebastian, however, had no intention of letting them escape. With a sharp command, he ordered his allies to strike. "Don't let them leave. Eliminate any threat!"
=======
The Hellfire Club's elite members leaped into action. The Red Devil teleported in close, the White Queen hardened her diamond form, and Riptide conjured a swirling cyclone. Gambit, Mystique, and Daredevil prepared to defend, but they were clearly outmatched.
Ravion, towering above them all, raised his mechanical arm and swung a massive piece of wreckage toward the Hellfire Club. The debris crashed into them with a deafening boom.
The Red Devil teleported away just in time, the White Queen shrugged off the impact with her diamond form, and Sebastian absorbed the kinetic energy, standing unscathed. Only Riptide, caught off guard, was sent flying.
As the skirmish raged on, John focused his mind. He couldn't allow this to escalate further. He turned to Ravion. "We need to leave now. Protect Reina."
Ravion moved to comply, but before they could retreat, the ground beneath them shook violently.
======
A deafening boom echoed across the battlefield as a massive metal hand burst from the earth, its colossal fingers clawing at the surface. The hand slammed down, scattering combatants in all directions.
"What the hell is that?" Mystique gasped, her usually composed demeanor faltering.
The hand was soon followed by another, and together they heaved an enormous mechanical form out of the ground. A massive ape-like machine emerged, its towering frame casting a shadow over the battlefield.
"It's the mechanical ape," John muttered, his expression darkening. Memories of his last encounter with the monstrous construct surged back—memories of destruction and loss.
The mechanical giant ape roared, its sound an eerie mix of grinding metal and primal fury. Its eyes glowed with a menacing red light as it scanned the area, locking onto the combatants below.
========
From atop the mechanical ape's head, a smaller figure emerged, piloting a sleek, armored suit. It was none other than the Iron Mandrill, holding a strange, glowing metal cube high above his head.
With a flick of his wrist, the Iron Mandrill activated the device, unleashing a green energy barrier that enveloped the entire area.
"What is that thing?" the Red Devil muttered, his confidence shaken.
The green light was strange—it didn't harm anyone but created an impenetrable barrier that sealed everyone inside.
Sebastian, unfazed, turned his attention to the new threat. "A mechanical ape? And here I thought today couldn't get any stranger."
=====
Inside the barrier, chaos erupted. The mechanical ape swung its massive arms, striking indiscriminately. The Hellfire Club, John, and his allies were forced to momentarily put aside their differences as they dodged its devastating attacks.
"John," Mystique called out, "do you have a plan for dealing with this thing?"
John's mind raced. The mechanical ape was a weapon of destruction, and its sudden appearance complicated everything. But as he observed its movements, a plan began to form.
"We need to work together," John finally said. "If we don't stop that thing, none of us are leaving this place alive."
Sebastian raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical, but he didn't dismiss the idea. "Fine. But once this is over, we settle our own scores."
"Agreed," John replied, his tone cold. "But for now, focus on the ape."
As the group prepared to face the mechanical behemoth, the tension in the air was palpable. Allies and enemies stood side by side, united by necessity.
The battle against the mechanical ape was just beginning.
