LIGHTNOVELWORLD Chapter 3: Harbringer Meeting
The two girl got to Snezhnaya and entered the palace, which left Shimmer speechless at how great it looked, "This place is incredible..." She muttered sounding awestruck, "Nothing like the Jade Chamber honestly." Gloom responded with a shrug.
With that, they reached the meeting room, where all the Harbringers were waiting, "About time you- who is that?" La Signora asked, having noticed Shimmer following Gloom, "Just an acquaintance, she wanted to see how we operated." Gloom explained, getting Shimmer off guard a bit.
"Wait we? Doesn't that mean you are-" Shimmer was questioning, but was interrupted by Arlecchino, "Gloom, did you not properly introduce yourself again?" She asked her adopted daughter with a hint of disappointment, "It didn't seem that important at the moment." Gloom excused herself as she took her seat.
Shimmer followed suit, sitting on an empty chair that was besides Gloom's, "So you're an Harbringer?" She asked the black colored girl, who nodded in response, "Number One of the Fatui Harbringers." Gloom specified, "...Isn't that Capitano?" Shimmer pointed out in confusion.
The fact Shimmer knew that made every other Harbringer tense up a moment, except for Columbina who giggled instead, "Have you been researching or is it an Information Leak between worlds?" She asked curiously, "The second..." Shimmer replied, feeling creeped out by her voice.
With the clarification, the Harbringers calmed down, but still looked a bit tense, "With the destruction of Celestia, the curse that made the people from Khaenri'ah immortal was removed, some decided to live the rest of their lives, some just... ended it." Sandrone explained, not feeling exactly comfortable having to.
"Oh... So both Pierro and Capitano..." Shimmer realized, having noted that the other Khaenri'ahn also wasn't there, "Living for hundreds of years can make you miserable." Signora explained calmly, "The Tsaritsa started leading the Fatui directly after Pierro ended it." Childe added.
Hearing the name made Shimmer think that she could finally see what the Tsaritsa looked like, "So you're waiting for her to arrive before beginning?" She asked the 8 Harbringers, "Yes, she has her own business to attent to, but to warn you, it probably isn't who you think given the range of your knowledge." Pulcinella warned, thinking Shimmer would probably know of the previous one.
After a bit, the Tsaritsa finally arrived and Shimmer was shocked at seeing who it was, "C-Cirno?" She muttered in confusion, "Oh so you do know her currenty Majesty." Pulcinella said in relief, "I- Yes, but that- I- What?" Shimmer stuttered, unsure of what to say, "This is getting awkward." Gloom commented.
"I think it's because she knows of my time as-" Cirno started, but Shimmer interrupted "An absolute idiot yes." She confirmed, shocking everyone except Cirno who made a 'that hurt more than I thought' face, "T-The old Tsaritsa trained me before getting executed for Godly crimes." Cirno summed up.
At that Shimmer got up, "And that's enough for today, I'm going to sleep somewhere." She said, but as she went on to leave, the movement caused light to reflect from her Vision, catching Columbina's attention, "Oh you have a Vision!" She said outloud, hurrying to her feet and checking the Vision upclose.
Upon inspection, Columbina's eyes widened in recognition, "An Archonless Vision?" She asked with a small smile, reaching to touch it, "Okay, yeah, this is getting weird." Shimmer commented, taking a few steps away from Columbina, but was followed, "Can you stop?" Shimmer asked taking more steps back, "Nope~" Columbina responded, approaching again.
"Can you not traumatize the newcomer?" Cirno requested in annoyance, "Anyhow this reunion was supposed to be about new training regimes for new recruits, but honestly a new Archonless Vision user takes precedence." She said outloud, flying to Shimmer and hovering around her for a good view.
"She got it in front of me actually, it appeared on her ear randomly." Gloom explained how it happened, "So it's new new." Cirno summed up, "Say how would you like to try out the new training regime? Might help with your Vision." She suggested.
That offer peaked Shimmer's interest, "Huh... I guess I have no reason to refuse." She said in acceptance, much to the stupor of the Harbringers, "Your majesty, are you sure this is a good idea?" Arlecchino asked, looking dubiously at Shimmer, "What's the worst that could happen?" Cirno asked back with a smirk.
"It's probably gonna be like when I started practicing with my Vision, so there should be no problem." Gloom reassured, or at least she thought she did, as everyone minus Shimmer and Cirno paled.
