Chapter 4: An unsolved mystery
Intense blue eyes were staring back in the whirlwinds of darkness and coldness which were hidden inside the eyes of the silver-haired teenager, eyes filled with experience, experience that shouldn't belong to a teenager.
Zombie man: Sorry for the intrusion, my name is Shōta Aizawa and I'm sure you already know who this is. Said the tired-looking man as he pointed to the person next to him. A tall and buff man with blonde hair that defines gravity and making appear as his hair were similar to bunny ears. Killua nodded as a reply to the tired-looking man. Of course, he knew who this guy was, he was all over the news, always smiling, people found it reassuring and Killua… well Killua founded creepy. I mean the dude smiled even as he beat the shit out of his opponents. The pillar of hope, All Might.
The two heroes felt a little uncomfortable under the sapphire eyes of the teenage boy, they felt as the boy could see right through them. Little did they know that he was examining them, looking for strengths and weaknesses. If he felt like he was in danger (Though he knew he wasn't) he would escape. He already had multiple plans to escape from the hospital unnoticed, even if he really didn't go out of his room. He was ready for anything, he was taught to be ready for anything since he was a toddler (I'm not really sure about that, but they are the Zoldycks so let's go with it) and that was one of the things he was thankful for to his family. Well, maybe his strength too. Actually, it was complicated to the point that he wasn't sure anymore. At any rate, he already had a plan for All Might, he had already analyzed him from his frequent appearances on the news. The problem was the other guy, Aizawa. He was a mystery; he didn't know what his quirk was. What he knew thought was that the guy knew how to fight, he could tell from the way he walked and stand. He was always on the defense ready for anything and from the looks of it he was fast. He was the type of fighter that relied on speed instead of power. He definitely could take him on a fight, but he was dangerous as he didn't know what his quirk was. For all, he knew it could be paralysis or mind control.
He saw as the two heroes exchanged glances unsure of what to say next. The room had a heavy atmosphere and an even heavier and much too uncomfortable silence. "Why would they visit me? True, I attract some attention from the way I was found and the way I talked… more like denied to talk to the detective yesterday, but heroes? Is it because the detective thought it would be easier for me to talk to them because they are Pros? Wait I know All Might is, but what about this guy? He probably is. it's frustrated not to know the Zombie's abilities (He denies using the word quirk… for now) and even worse their reason to be here. Pros or no Pros it's illogical to be here, to treat me like… I'm weak or something and even worse to act as they care. They are heroes for money and fame. Whatever, I'll just ignore them. Though I won't deny that their voices reminds me of something… Wait could it be…?"
Killua: Were you the ones that found me? The two heroes looked surprised at the boy's question, nonetheless, their expression softened once they remembered what they were dealing with. A kid. A kid that almost died and most likely abused for most of his life.
Aizawa: Yes, you appeared out of nowhere close to where we were.
Killua: How did you know?
All Might: We saw the faint light. To be honest, we didn't think much of it at first, then we saw you.
Killua: light?
All Might: in the beginning, we thought it was your quirk, but now we think it was what brought you to U.A.
"U.A.? Do they mean the school? I got transported into another world at the place I ended up 'landing' is the roof of a school for heroes. Irony is a bitch… an assassin in the school for heroes… yeah definitely irony, even if I'm an ex-assassin"
Aizawa: How did you get these wounds? Silence. Look kid, you have to tell us. For all, we know there could be a psycho out there stabbing kids for fun.
Killua: If there were you would know.
Aizawa: How so?
Killua: You would have more victims.
Aizawa: …
All Might: …
Aizawa sighed and turned to look at All Might who had a grim expression on his face. His face was kind of funny, or it would be if it were under other circumstances. Killua though didn't lose the chance to point it out.
Killua: You're making a funny face
All Might: Sorry, but your logic… He trailed off trying to find the right words… surprised me. He finally said.
Killua: Maybe, but it's true. If there was someone like that out there, not only there would be more victims but I wouldn't live to tell the tale.
All Might: I guess…
Aizawa: We still need to know about the wounds. Killua just gave him a look that said 'not happening and remained silent. Okay… how about we start again? What's your name?
Killua: You already know, and you probably already know everything I said to the detective yesterday, so there is no need to repeat myself. "He's smart, that was obvious from the beginning, but there is more to him than meets the eye. He has experience, fighting experience. As much as I don't want to admit it, this kid is dangerous" Aizawa thought while looking at Killua, trying to decipher him.
All Might: True, in all honesty, our questions are the same as the detective's.
Killua: I figured as much…
Aizawa: You're not going to answer them, are you?
Killua: Depends, are you a walking lie detector like the other guy were? All Might tried to hide his chuckle but miserably failed to do so, and that earned him a look from Aizawa that said 'Not helping'.
All Might: Sorry, but you have to admit that was kinda funny.
Aizawa: Moving on… no, I'm not, but that doesn't mean that I'm an idiot that can't separate the truth from a lie. "In my case, the lies would be more believable…" Killua thought.
Killua: I don't know how to read…
Aizawa: That's out of topic
Killua: Was there a topic to begin with?
Aizawa: Funny… He said as he looked at the kid in front of him, the kid had a blank expression that betrayed nothing about him, the only thing that gave something out was his eyes and the only thing they told him was the kid's unparalleled experience, that and his coldness. But there was a little bit of heat inside them, though it was fade to the point that was almost invisible, nonetheless, it was still there. You really don't know, do you?
Killua: For a zombie you are smart… Once again All Might tried and failed to hide his chuckles.
Aizawa: So, where are you from?
Killua: Kukuroo Mountain
Aizawa: Never heard of it.
Killua: Didn't expect you to. Killua deadpanned. "He could be lying, but I don't think he does…"
Aizawa: Where is this mountain?
Killua: It's complicated…
All Might: What's complicated about a location?
Killua: The location… "and its inhabitants" He thought the last part.
All Might: Okay, how about those yo-yos. How can you lift them?
Killua: With my hands. He deadpanned.
Aizawa: Not what he asked.
Killua: Again, you already know my answer as I answered to the detective yesterday.
All Might: You said you're strong young Killua, not how strong.
Killua: In that case, I am a lot stronger than I look.
All Might: Why are you that strong?
Killua: Training
Aizawa: For what?
Killua: Life… Aizawa raised a questionable eyebrow at him. "Technically it's true, I had to train as my life was to assassinate, and latter to travel with… no, not now Killua. Don't think of them." Killua's expression darkened as he continued to have an internal struggle, a fight with himself. And that didn't go unnoticed to the heroes.
Aizawa: What do you mean by life?
All Might: Were you forced to train because you don't have a quirk?
Killua: I mean what I said and yes and no. "Now we're getting somewhere, he's from Kukuroo Mountain, he's ridiculously strong for his age and for the fact that he's quirkless. He had training, forced training but he wasn't trained because of his lack of quirk. The scars are probably from his training too" Aizawa thought as he tried to put the pieces together.
Aizawa: The scars are from your training? Killua didn't see the need to answer that as he thought that it was obvious.
All Might: Training like that isn't training, young Killua it's child abuse.
Killua: No kidding, seriously?
Aizawa: Your sarcasm has no bounds.
Killua: Nope…
All Might: Can you tell us about your family? Where they are? Were they the ones that did this 'training' to you?
Killua: No, back at Mountain probably… don't know, don't care, and yes.
Aizawa: You ran away. It wasn't a question but a statement.
Killua: Wouldn't you?
Aizawa: It was your family that inflict those wounds on you, wasn't it?
Killua: You catch up fast.
Aizawa: You only told us what you wanted us to know, no more and no less. Again, it was a statement.
Killua: Yeap.
All Might: Why were you trained like that?
Killua: Because my family is filled with psychopaths, thought that was obvious.
All Might: It is, and it is not what I meant. I meant why were you trained? What was the reason behind your training?
Killua: I already told you…
Aizawa: No, you really didn't
Killua: Let's just say that my family had big plans for me and I disappointed them by running away, once they got over it, they tried to bring me back so I could fulfill my training and take over the family. Instead, I continued to run away.
Aizawa: How did you end up in U.A? "The right question should be how did you end up in this world but whatever…"
Killua: Magic?
Aizawa: So, someone saved you by using their quirk to transport you…
Killua: I won't take my answer back. "Should have been more careful, that last statement I didn't want them to know, Aizawa is smarter than he looks like… though he definitely needs sleep and this is coming from a guy that only sleeps about an hour or two."
Aizawa: What answer? What you said was more like a question
Killua: I answered your question with a question, but it was still an answer.
Aizawa: Right, moving on. Why didn't you answer these questions to detective Tsukauchi yesterday?
Killua: You said you're not a lie detector.
Aizawa: Did you lie?
Killua: No, but I told you only what I wanted you to know. I could do the same with the detective, but I didn't feel like it in all honesty.
Aizawa: You didn't feel like it?
Killua: I'm in a hospital, somewhere I don't know and I get interrogated. Sorry for needing time to gather my thoughts.
All Might: The kid has a point. Besides there is nothing to worry about Tsukauchi said he is no villain.
Aizawa: Yeah, but what about his parents?
Killua: You guys realize that I can hear you right?
Aizawa: Then answer. Silence once again filled the room, some of the previous tension gone but there still was some left. I'm guessing that's one of the things you don't want to share… Anyway, there is one thing that bothers me, if I were to look for Kukuroo Mountain would I be able to find it? "Sure, if you were in my world… and if you wanted to assassinate someone"
Killua: No.
Aizawa: Does it exist? "Again, in my world yes. Yours, probably no, but who knows."
Killua: Yes.
Aizawa: What happened to your humor and sarcasm?
Killua: Still there, but I'm getting tired so, if you guys done interrogating me leave so I can sleep.
All Might: That's understandable, we should take our leave for today and come back tomorrow.
Aizawa: Fine… He reluctantly agreed as he watched Killua lay down and pulling the covers over his head. Good night kid.
Killua: Yeah… Killua murmured in response.

The darkness had covered the city as night had settled in, the stars shined to their fullest while the moon was half of its original. There was a soft breeze and the smell of incoming rain.
In one of the hospital bedrooms, Killua was getting ready to leave. He had changed to his usual dark blue long-sleeved, turtle neck shirt and his white t-shirt. He wore black shorts that were at his knee level with white stripes at each side and black shoes.
He stuffed his yo-yos in his pockets, put his backpack on, and took his skateboard.
"I wonder if jenny works here, if not then I need to find money. Also, I need to learn how to read, which can be a problem. I also need a place to stay, food and more clothes"
He slowly opened his window on the fifth floor and the soft breeze immediately welcomed him along with the all-knowing scent of upcoming rain. He turned around and looked at the room. There was no point for him to stay any longer, it had been a little more than two days since he got here and his wounds had already healed. What he needed now, was to find his place in this new world. And to do that he needed money and fast, there was only one way to get money.
Killua: It's been a while since I last associate myself with the underworld. He thought out loud. Well, I guess now I start my new adventure… by myself. I wonder if they miss me as much as I miss them.
He shakes his head to get these thoughts out of his head and looked back at the opened window. He got through it and jumped, disappearing in the darkness of the night.
