Chapter 83: 83: Finals [I]
"Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've been waiting for! The grand finale of the U.A. Sports Festival! It's a clash between two prodigies: Shoto Todoroki, heir to the Todoroki legacy, and Aiden Wilhelm Fritz, the prince of the Fritz Dynasty!"
The crowd roared, their excitement palpable as Aiden and Shoto stepped onto the field. The vast arena, once pristine, was now scarred from the earlier battles, a testament to the intensity of the day. The stage was set for an epic showdown.
In the VIP booth, Maximilian and Eleanor Fritz sat side by side, their regal composure masking the pride and nervousness they felt for their son.
Eleanor leaned closer to Maximilian. "Do you think he's taking this seriously? He barely broke a sweat in the previous matches."
Maximilian chuckled. "Knowing Aiden, he'll find a way to make it entertaining. But against Todoroki, he might finally show what he's truly capable of."
Meanwhile, Emperor Hiroshi watched intently, stroking his chin. "Todoroki's mastery of ice and fire is impressive, but the young Fritz is an enigma. His quirk's versatility is unlike anything we've seen."
Seraphina, sitting nearby, smirked. "Whatever happens, I'm sure Aiden will make a spectacle of it. He lives for this kind of attention."
Midnight raised her whip, signaling the start. "Ready... BEGIN!"
The moment the match began, Shoto extended his right hand, unleashing a massive wall of ice that surged across the battlefield like a tidal wave. The temperature plummeted, frost spreading rapidly.
Aiden stood his ground, a calm smile on his face. "Impressive start, Todoroki," he said, clapping his hands together. "But let's turn up the heat."
With a fluid motion, Aiden crouched low and swept his arms outward, mimicking the waterbenders from Avatar: The Last Airbender. From the moisture in the air, a torrent of water materialized around him, forming a spiraling shield that shattered the ice wave on impact.
The crowd gasped in awe as the arena was enveloped in mist from the collision.
[A/N: Don't ask me why I did this.]
As the mist began to clear, Aiden transitioned seamlessly into a new stance. He brought his hands together in rapid succession, forming hand seals reminiscent of those in Naruto:
Tiger → Horse → Monkey → Boar → Tiger.
"Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu!" he announced, exhaling a stream of flames shaped like a twisting dragon. The fiery beast roared as it surged toward Shoto, illuminating the stadium with a fiery glow.
[A/N: Or this]
Shoto reacted instantly, summoning a dome of ice to shield himself. The dragon crashed against the ice, sending shards flying in every direction.
In the teacher's booth, Cementoss whistled. "That's some serious control over elemental forces. It's almost artistic."
Aizawa, observing with narrowed eyes, muttered, "It's not just control. It's strategy. He's forcing Todoroki to react instead of attack."
Shoto wasn't one to be outdone. As the ice dome dissolved, he switched to his left side, flames erupting from his palm. With a fierce expression, he hurled a barrage of fireballs toward Aiden, each one burning hotter than the last.
Aiden dodged gracefully, his movements fluid and precise. He spun on his heel, extending his arms in a sweeping motion, creating a swirling vortex of water that extinguished the flames mid-air.
"Is that all you've got?" Aiden taunted, his grin widening.
Shoto scowled. "You talk too much." With a sharp gesture, he froze the ground beneath Aiden, aiming to trap his feet. But Aiden leapt into the air, flipping effortlessly.
High above the battlefield, Aiden clasped his hands together again, forming new seals:
Ram → Boar → Ox → Dragon → Ram.
"Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!"
Aiden unleashed a flurry of smaller fireballs that scattered in all directions, each one homing in on Shoto.
Shoto countered with precision, erecting ice pillars that intercepted the fireballs mid-flight. The resulting explosions created a dazzling display of sparks and frost, drawing cheers from the audience.
In the stands, Mina Ashido exclaimed, "It's like watching an action movie! This is insane!"
Kirishima nodded, his eyes wide. "Manly doesn't even begin to describe this."
The battlefield was rapidly transforming into a chaotic mix of ice, fire, and water. Aiden landed gracefully, his feet skidding across the icy ground. He drew a deep breath, raising his arms in a wide arc.
This time, he didn't use hand seals. Instead, he adopted a bending stance, channeling his quirk with deliberate, sweeping movements.
From the remnants of Shoto's ice, he manipulated the water, shaping it into a massive tidal wave that loomed over the entire arena.
"Impressive Todo! Let's see how you handle this!" Aiden called, thrusting his hands forward.
Shoto responded with equal intensity, slamming both hands onto the ground. A jagged wall of ice erupted upward, splitting the wave in two.
The impact sent water cascading everywhere, soaking the battlefield and creating a slippery terrain.
From the VIP booth, Eleanor gasped. "He's controlling water with such grace. Where did he even learn to do that?"
Maximilian smiled proudly. "That's Aiden for you. Always surprising us."
In the teacher's area, All Might leaned forward. "This battle isn't just about strength. It's a clash of willpower and creativity. Both of them are giving it their all."
As the arena settled, Aiden smirked, his eyes gleaming.
He stepped forward, his movements sharp and calculated. With a series of rapid hand seals, he shouted, "Fire Style: Flame Bullet Jutsu!"
Aiden exhaled a concentrated stream of fire, targeting the ground beneath Shoto. The intense heat melted the ice, turning it into steam and obscuring the battlefield.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Aiden darted through the steam, his agility allowing him to close the distance. Emerging from the haze, he delivered a swift kick aimed at Shoto's side.
Shoto barely had time to react, raising an icy barrier just in time to absorb the blow. The clash sent shockwaves through the stadium, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats.
