Chapter Forty-Eight:

"I like you." I honestly said. "And I'm worry and afraid you'll get hurt."

I just speak the truth and it made Siara silence for a while before she suddenly smiles at me so brightly.

"Don't worry I won't get hurt so there is nothing to be afraid of." She spoke.

"But still--"

"Stop." She cuts me off. "You knew who I am."

"And that is what I worry. You are a princess, the only child of the King of your clan and being with me means a lot." I seriously stated.

"So what? You are a Duke and one of the Knights of your Kingdom. Maybe you're not afraid to defend me, right?"

"Yes, I can defend you."

"Then don't be afraid." She replied as if it is just as simple as that and it seems she read what's on my mind. "I know it isn't simple as that," she said. "But if we let ourselves be affected with that fact, then, we might not get our own happiness. Because for me, I already found my happiness in life and losing you is not my option. I'll fight you until the end no matter what it takes." She seriously stated and that is how she took my heart.

Her frankness and sincerity made me fall in love with her and I feel, with the two of us I am the woman because of the way I behave in front of her. That instead of me having to be more courageous to defend our relationship, I was even more worried about what might happen once everyone found out about us. She even opened my eyes to stand up and fight for our relationship rather than me and I am ashamed of my conduct towards her.

All along, she was right. If she has already found the person who will make her happy, so have I. I already found her, the one and only person that I wanted to cherish forever. My only happiness and just like her, I won't allow to anyone to ruin it I will fight for her no matter what it takes.

Reinhardt Residence

"What did you discover?" I asked as soon as Iman came back.

"I found out that there was only one person who always came out secretly in the Meinir Palace and as far as I knew that person always went to the mountains owned by a Nymph."

"A Nymph?"

"Indeed."

"If so, the princess has an acquaintance Nymph so she's able to hide from me for that long."

"Yes, my Prince."

"Try to find out who was it," I command.

"Yes, my Prince."

Meanwhile…

"What are you thinking, Kanik?" Maury asked me after I fall into silence.

"How can I meet the Princess?" I replied.

"Your brother's fiancé?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Well, I'm curious. The king never showed or introduced his only child and suddenly there was an agreement between our family and the King but not once was my brother still able to meet or see the princess so it was just curious to meet her even for a moment."

"How can you that?" he replied. "If your brother can't see the princess, can you?"

"Uhm, I ask that myself too. But still, I'm determined, to meet her by hook or by crook." I seriously stated.

Manu Palace

Night…

"Why until now you still don't face Prince Kieran?" my father asked while we eat our dinner.

He is also the King of our Clan, King Harkan Meinir the Manu Clan King and Leader and also my father. And tonight, I had another chance to be with him for a dinner. Because he was so busy taking care of the Kingdom, including the war with the other Clan, he was losing time to be with me. So, I take advantage of such opportunities to really be with him even if we have almost nothing to talk about. But it looks different now because we can talk about something but that doesn't include about Prince Kieran because I really have no intention of meeting or seeing him.

"I'm sorry." All I could answer.

As he heard it, he stops eating and look at me. "Tell me." he said. "Are you in love?" he suddenly asked that surprised me but then I cannot lie.

"Indeed I am. I'm in love with someone else."

Silence and it took us long before he breaks the silence.

"May I know who that person was?"

"You will soon." I spoke. "But for now, I'm not sure if it's right for me to introduce him."

"Why? Don't you say he's not a good person?" he seriously asked that made me smile.

"He is a good person you have nothing to worry about." I honestly said.

"Then, why can't you introduce him to me?" he asked. "Don't say he doesn't have a position and he's just an ordinary person because there's no case against me if he's like that. The important thing is, he loves you and he can defend you to anyone, even to me who is a King." He sincerely said that I already knew.

"Thank you, dad." I sincerely replied. "But really. You have nothing to worry. This man is special and he is very kind person. That makes him very ordinary and if you've got the chance to meet him, I know you will like him."

Deep into the Mountains

The next day…

I seriously look at Siara and still her features didn't change. Why I seriously staring at her? It is because of what she just said and I couldn't believe it!

"What? You can't believe I told you to my father?" she innocently asked.

"Ahh! I'm going to lose my mind." I said and after saying it she suddenly burst out of laugh. "Hey! Why are you laughing?!"

"Oh, so sorry but I couldn't help it! The look in your face is so adorable I couldn't help but to laugh."

"What!"

"But kidding aside, all he knew is that you're the man that I love."
