---------------------------------

The sun peeked through the blinds of Luka's room, casting long shadows across his body and the purple butterfly captured in a jar. I stretched languidly, a contented sigh escaping my lips as he glanced at the clock. It was Saturday, the perfect day for a leisurely morning. I rolled out of bed, my bare feet padding softly against the cool wood, and made my way to the kitchen.

The smell of coffee and toast wafted through the air, a comforting aroma that made me feel at home. His mother, a petite woman with warm sky blue eyes and a kind smile, was humming softly as she set the table.

"Morning, sleepyhead," she greeted me, her voice a gentle melody. "Coffee's ready."

Luka grinned, pulling out a chair and sliding into it. "Smells amazing, Mom."

As I sipped my coffee, my mind drifted, I'd been thinking more about Juleka lately but I wasn't to sure what to do. I'd been noticing in my thoughts I was subtly crushing on her and this has been going on for weeks, but I'd always been distant, in my own world. I wondered if she'd actually be okay with me progressing our little 'will they won't they'.

Determined to make a move, I did what I do best, spending the rest of the day planning a strategy for the best outcome. I could just genuinely blurt out my feelings but that's not my style, I had to be subtle but clear, to show her my interest without scaring her away.

-------------------------

The next day..

I got up early today prepaed to make my move quickly and effectively. I saw Juleka sitting alone outside the docks of our house, sketching in a notebook. I began approaching her cautiously, not wanting to startle her.

"Hey, Juleka," he said softly. "Mind if I sit here?"

She looked up, still startled, then nodded shyly. "Sure."

Luka sat down beside her, careful to keep a respectful distance. "What are you drawing?" I asked, trying to make conversation.

Juleka paused, then showed him her notebook. It was filled with intricate drawings of flowers and trees, all rendered in shades of gray.

"They're beautiful," Luka said sincerely. "You're really talented."

Juleka softly blushed and let out a "Thanks."

I'd always made a point of talking to Juleka whenever I saw her. I would usually ask her about her day, her interests, her art. I simply listened attentively, never interrupting, always making her feel heard.

Juleka long since opened up to me. Our similar love of music, her passion for photography, her dreams of traveling the world. I, in turn a while back, shared my own interests, my own dreams. Not bluntly of course just says stuff like "Wanting to become a leader who 'offers guidance' to the city of Paris".

"Hey can we go for a walk in the park today I'm feeling the urge to go out today," she looked me in the eyes and nodded a small smile placed on her pale features.

The afternoon quickly came and we spent the day strolling around instruments strapped to us like glue, I decided in this moment to get a bit bolder and walk hand-in-hand, she looked a little flustered for a few seconds but calmed down quickly noticing how undisturbed I was.

We were just talking and laughing and with this, time went by the more we where enjoying each others company. As the sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows across the park.

My courage as usual was at an all time high, no one was around besides the occasional car. as we sat down on the blanket I had brought for us to rest we were side by side leaning against each other and she seemed happy in this moment more so than normal. 'Now's a good a time as ever'.

"Juleka," I said, my voice barely a whisper. "I... I really like you."

Juleka's eyes widened, but before she could react fully I began.

I smiled warmly at Juleka as the last rays of the sunset painted the sky in soft hues of orange and pink. I gently strummed the strings of my guitar, the melody sweet and tender.

"Underneath the evening sky,

With you here, time slips by,

Your smile's a gentle guiding light,

In your world, everything feels right.

Juleka, you're my quiet muse,

In your eyes, I lose my blues,

Your heart's a song, I long to sing,

With you, I've found my everything."

I glanced at her as the final note fell into the twilight. her breath catching in her throat. She looked away, her cheeks slightly flushed and her eyes shimmering with emotion.

There was a pause that felt longer than I'd imaged it to ever be but eventually after what felt like hours a whisper came out. "I... I like you too, Luka," she admitted softly.

A wave of relief I hadn't expected washed over me, quickly followed by an intense joy. I reached out and took her hand, my fingers intertwining with hers.

"You... you wrote that for me?" Juleka asked softly, her voice trembling with surprise and joy.

"Every word," Luka replied, his gaze steady and sincere. "Because you mean that much to me."

Juleka looked around still bright red, but smiled, her eyes sparkling.

And so, Me and Juleka had finally began dating. We spent our days exploring the city, going to concerts, and sharing their passions with each other.

I'd managed to win her, not with grand gestures, but with our ever growing bond, kindness, patience, and understanding her completely. With this achievement I'd made and being a bit more playful Juleka and I a couple days later found ourselves in my room writing new lyrics together and bouncing ideas off each other, the air thick with creativity and the unspoken tension that lingered just beneath the surface. I'd always cherished these moments; they were felt comforting yet this one felt charged with possibility.

As we sat side by side on my bed, surrounded by scattered sheets of lyrics and remnants of our late-night brainstorming sessions, I glimpsed at Juleka's f illuminated by the soft glow of the desk lamp. She was wearing a plain back shirt and shorts, Her lips curled into a soft smile as she sketched out a new melody on her guitar, the light dancing in her eyes.

"You know," I began, leaning in just a little closer, "I've been thinking about us a lot lately." her ear twitched and I could almost hear her heartbeat quicken, like the strum of a guitar string on the verge of breaking.

Juleka paused and looked at me, her brow slightly furrowed. "What about us?"

I let the words hang in the air between us. "Just how... everything has changed. For the better… I mean." I brushed a lock of hair behind her ear, my fingers lingering longer than necessary.

She turned her head and gave me a gentle smile. "Right? It's like we finally clicked," she mused, her voice barely above a whisper, as if afraid to disturb the fragile moment we were sharing.

"But there's so much more I want to explore with you," I said, my pulse even began racing as the tension I had create between us escalated. My gaze locked onto hers, and I could see the flickering hesitation in her expression. I leaned in a bit more, the world around us fading into a blur.

She absorbed in the moment closed her eyes as well as we where closing in Before we could lock our lips I backed away.

I could feel i in her body expression when she open her eyes again. Her heart sank and Juleka's eyes widened her features shifting from anticipation to a mix of disappointment and surprise.

A teasing smile was plastered on my face as my hand reached out, cupping her cheek gently, our breath mingling in the space between us. Time felt suspended as I leaned in again, my heart racing with every inch closer.

"Is this okay?" I asked, our lips mere inches apart. My pulse raced, the question hanging in the air, and I saw the flicker of uncertainty give way to longing in her gaze.

"Yes," she breathed, and that was all the permission I needed.
