Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva

Chapter 32: Solving Difficult Problems

"Speaking of which, what do you think I should do about this Kus kid?" Inside the Sky Restaurant, Kinsenke swirled his wine glass and asked the two girls in front of him.

"Why are you asking us? Doesn't this concern the influence of your own family's company?" Deloris spoke up first to prevent Tilan from feeling awkward in such a situation.

"It relates to the reputation and other issues of 'Incense Power,' but it also involves a student from our Edith Academy. If not handled well, it can affect both the academy's reputation and us."

"I just got a whim today and wanted to hear your suggestions." Kinsenke shook his head, then a look of interest appeared on his face.

Deloris shook her head; she was not someone easily coerced. She had been quiet until now, intending to let Kinsenke finish talking and then leave, knowing all too well his abominable temperament; if you don't let him have his fun, he'll keep pestering, which is very annoying.

"Since it happened last night, you must have dealt with it already. What's the point of asking us now?"

"You're right, I have dealt with it, but I'm still not quite satisfied. I really don't want to use my brain, so I came to ask for advice from my dear cousin Deloris."

Within the academy, there were few Kinsenke esteemed, and Deloris just happened to be one of them. He still held a degree of respect for this cousin of the same age, considering 'Incense Workshop' was a business no less significant than 'Incense Power,' and Deloris was already beginning to get involved in her family's affairs.

Faced with such a request, Deloris thought it over briefly, then shook her head, unwilling to answer. She turned her head to look at Tilan, intending to take her and leave, knowing full well that although Kinsenke was overbearing, he wouldn't dare do anything to her.

"Let's go, Tilan." She stood up.

"Ah, just like that, you're leaving? Will you ignore the plea of your dear cousin and classmate?" Kinsenke's voice wafted over.

"Also, do you still remember your speech at the freshmen ceremony, Tilan? Or were those words just tools to gain a reputation, hehe." He took a sip of the chill, amber-colored liquor, then continued sitting in the armchair, gently rocking, seemingly certain the two would turn back.

If it were just her, Deloris could ignore it, since their relationship wasn't that good; others would just laugh it off as a family matter between distant relatives, akin to children quarreling.

However, it was different for Tilan. Coming from a relatively modest family background, she was more sensitive to matters of status and reputation. If she fled now, who knows what Kinsenke, with his influence, could turn it into.

Her footsteps slowed, and the girl beside her shook her head, then stepped forward.

"Having said all this, are you asking for my help, Kinsenke?" The black-haired, blue-eyed girl stared directly at the nonchalant young man with his legs crossed.

"You could understand it that way." Kinsenke didn't care, knowing full well that no one would believe he would stoop to asking for help.

"So what exactly is your problem? Do you want to punish Kus or salvage the academy's reputation?"

"My first problem is how to prevent 'Incense Power''s reputation from being tarnished, and as for the reputation of the academy, maybe that's a bit of an issue too. Consider it the second problem."

Seeing Tilan engage, Deloris grew slightly anxious. She wasn't stupid and had seen the trap in the question. First of all, the incident from last night had definitely spread locally, and if news or videos made it onto the star network, damage to 'Incense Power''s reputation would be inevitable.

The best approach would be to directly control the media in South First District or to signal to the Star Domain government to secretly seal the relevant news. In the eyes of the general public, this may seem difficult, but she knew that considering the economy 'Incense Power' had created in Jade Skirt, the taxes paid, and the many businesses and residents it supported upstream and downstream, such a small favor wouldn't be refused by the authorities.

But this sort of solution is definitely not something to be discussed openly. Whoever speaks it would face criticism and vilification for ethical breaches. For someone like Kinsenke from a major corporation, this wouldn't have much impact; some from the older generation might even consider his decisiveness and boldness admirable.

If Tilan were to make such a suggestion, however, the situation would be entirely different. Later on, Kinsenke could claim he was inspired by a fellow student to take such measures, and in the academy, Tilan's reputation would be ruined.

People are always drawn to strength. What Kinsenke can do doesn't mean others can do it as well. Even if he can solve the problem in such a manner, he was probably feeling some annoyance and dissatisfaction, which is why he sought to provoke them today. Deloris's thoughts raced, having grown up among the elite of Jade Skirt, she had a deep understanding of the mentality of such people.

"Since the incident has already occurred, trying to conceal it is nothing but fooling oneself." Tilan shook her head, her black hair swaying at the sides of her face, revealing a graceful neck.

"Oh, so what then, you want me to apologize in public?" There was a hint of mockery in Kinsenke's voice, as if laughing at the girl's naïveté.

"You don't really think an apology would solve the problem, do you?" His words were filled with disappointment and scorn, as silence would be better than an apology, which would be tantamount to an indirect admission of guilt.

"Did I say anything about apologizing?" The girl retorted, prompting Kinsenke to momentarily shut his mouth.
